This cosy 17th century pub is set in the picturesque village of Kildwick, 10 minutes’ drive from Skipton. It offers en suite rooms with garden views and traditional, homemade food.

the bed & the pillows
Massive bed. Immaculate sheets. Super clean bathroom. Very simple styled bedroom.
Outside the bedroom the hotel really needs some tidying up of paintwork. The hotel reception smelt of cigarette smoke and was messy.
I liked this small hotel built in typical Yorkshire stone giving a reassuring sturdyness. There is a comfortable lounge/bar area and the breakfast room is downstairs. This also is a nice quiet comfortable area. The room was good with two windows looking out over the rear of the property towards the hills. The ensuite is through a door and down a couple of steps which is OK if you are able. The bed was very comfortable also and I slept well.
Bit of a problem with the hot water supply later in the evening which I reported the following morning and the owner said he would check it out that day, so hopefully that will now have been rectified. Owners will always appreciate faults or concerns being reported at the time whenever possible instead of just having them mentioned on here. Much more helpful for all concerned.
The staff were excellent and even though it was their last day couldn't do enough to help us before they shut for the holiday period.
The weather typical Yorkshire rain but it didn't spoil the break.
Squeaky bed Soft mattress Attic roof
Very friendly helpful staff. A good cooked breakfast and a value for money break.
The bar was closed when we arrived on the Saturday and in the evening. Room was bit chilly in the evening but nice and warm in the morning.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable as was the bathroom.
Stayed here for 1 night when working here ,very nice little hotel would definitely stay again. Friendly staff and very comfortable room.
Nothing not to like.
The hotel was away from the busy Keighley centre but only a short bus ride away with plenty of choice for evening meals
Ease of parking, accessibility, ease of booking
Some mould around windows and walls in our room but minimal
friendly, convenient, good breakfast, inexpensive
going to seed a bit, in need of some cosmetic attention
We liked everything the cleanliness everywhere the comfort of the rooms, lovely breakfast, very warm hotel,
Wed ident see much of the staff and the small bar wasent open on the sat night when we were planning to have a drink.,
Excellent service, clean comfy beds, Nice friendly staff and proprietor. Good breakfast. Great value for money, highly recommended..
Nothing of note Just be aware of low ceilings in first floor rooms.
Very friendly and helpful staff. My daughter left her phone charger plugged in next to the kettle in her room. It was sent on and arrived at her home before her.
Nothing wrong with the hotel. The only problem was choice of eating out in the evening if you don't want to drive. There's only one pub nearby, otherwise it means going into Keighley.
THE HOTEL WAS CENTRAL FOR THE KEIGHLEY AND WORTH VALLEY RAILWAY WHICH WAS GOOD ALSO THE HOTEL ROOM WAS EXCELLENT VERY GOOD FACILITIES AND THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY SATISFYING AND TASTY HOPE TO STAY AGAIN
Location, good value for money, dinning room was good, staff at breakfast time were very pleasant and efficient, overall was happy with my 3 nights stay. Would definitely stay there again.
Only thing, I would have preferred a shower, rather than a bath, as getting into and out of a bath is difficult for me, due to problems with arthritic knee joints.
Convenience and character
The bed was so comfortable!!
Nicely furnished room- very warm good choice of items for breakfast good quality bed linen firm mattress ( bit too firm for me but that's just a preference) free car park pleasant, helpful staff
Problem with the shower - water not very hot despite roasting hot water in the sink. It was ok though Staff apologetic - said it would be checked
Clean bedding and breakfast.
Carpet stained. Poor decor. Cleanliness issues. Windows didn't close. Radiator didn't work. It was stated on their website that food was available on an evening but it wasn'T. Road noisy.
Roomly comfortable rooms with good shower and quiet location. Not fair from small township. Very good breakfast and friendly owner. Plenty of free parking.Excellent pub a couple of doors down with great affordable menu and friendly atmosphere. Owner was very friendly and helpful with directions when we were leaving.
No bar service but I guess if you really wanted it and rang the bell it would be available. Only saw the owner to check in and out which was fine. Imagine that everyone eats and drinks at the local a couple of doors down so he doesnt open the bar unless someone doesnt want to go out.
The breakfast - cereal, cooked breakfast and toast meant I wasn't hungry until the evening. The room was warm, comfortable and nicely decorated. Parking was easy - large car park behind the hotel. Central enough location to make driving around easy, but rural enough to feel rested and calmed at the end of a busy day.
Nothing comes to mind!
Room was dusty, shower had no hot water in the evening, got bitten by bugs in the bed and couldn't cater for my dietary needs.
Friendly helpful welcome Room was very clean and well kept. Nicely situated for a short stroll with a view
Decor is outdated Reception smells of old smoke from doorstep smoking.
Beautifully spotless clean room. Well done this made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Lovely staff.
Probably the view as it looked onto small housing estate but can't grumble at price
