Very quiet room. Great central location next to a large car park which is free between 6pm and 8am.
Default breakfast serving time starts at 8:30am which is a bit late for many travellers. However, the staff are more than happy to serve a little earlier if you ask.
Myself and my partner stayed here for our Anniversary. The location was brilliant, right in the centre of Ilkley so no need for taxis. The bed was comfy and the views across Ilkley were lovely.
The room wasn't as clean as we expected it to be. The carpet hadn't been hoovered and the surfaces were dirty. A couple of the staff members were rude and would serve the locals before the guests. Slightly over priced for the service that we received.
Good size rooms Clean Comfortable bed Friendly staff
Lack of parking
From the moment we checked in to the point when we left the staff were really friendly and helpful. The bar area was pleasant and we had a very lively stay. Ginger Bob, what a legend!
Unfortunately the room was not very clean and the bathroom was even worse. I don't really want to go into detail as we did actually enjoy ourselves but the room was very expensive for what it was and breakfast was not included. I'm so sad to say we won't be staying again as the people were lovely, it's a real pity.
Good greeting The room was ready early so we could drop off our overnight things, quick change and have a cup of tea before setting off for the wedding. All the facilities we required for the overnight stay. Friendly staff in the morning to take our breakfast order.
Nothing to complain about.
The friendly staff who were very helpful and made every effort to make me feel at ease.
Friendly staff especially at breakfast. Good breakfast.Decent pint! nice pub dog.
Parking arrangements and road noise. Hotel needs modernising as it is a bit tired Area around the back door needs cleaning.
Excellent location in centre of Ilkley - comfortable (apart from temperature issues) and clean, etc.
Rooms very cold when we checked in (cold December day) - my elderly mother was frozen, even with her coat on and even when heating first came on about 3.00 pm - a fan heater was supplied when we asked for it, after which the room did heat up ok. The manager (I think) seemed to think we had checked in early, before the heating was timed to come on, but we checked in after the time specified when we made the booking, which was 2.00 pm.
Beds were comfy. Staff were friendly and breakfast served a little later which suited us fine. Staff were very accommodating regarding checking out time. Very friendly.
The room was very hot and the radiators couldn't be turned off/down. It was also a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning - though I was expecting this due to previous reviews. .
Helpfulness as one or party's dogs had gone missing that day. The landlord was a great help in informing the local community, which eventually led to its safe return.
Paying for breakfast.
Staff were helpful & friendly. Food was gorgeous. Atmosphere was welcoming & clean.
Our stay was too short.
Everything was just perfect
Main benefit of hotel is central position We were attending function in centre of Ilkley and the 2 min walk to get there was good!
Parking a nightmare. Very little availability at hotel (3/4 cars) and alternative in church car park across road also full. £85 for the room was well overpriced.
the staff and owner ian great the cleanliness spot on all very helpful
slightly dated rooms didn't expect to be charged for breakfast for price of rooms bathroom extremely small in my room
Minimumal hassle of check in/check out Brilliant staff , make you feel very welcome Central location in town Breakfast available , great value Food in bar area great choice and value for money Little extras in premier room
No lift but fitting for the building as a very old building
Lovely homely hotel, Had a lovely meal in the evening traditional home made food.
Stayed in room 8. Lovely spacious room, just a bit too noisy, would stay again, but in a different room.
The hotel was friendly and clean. We only stayed one night but it was very comfortable. We had breakfast which was well cooked and a good start to the day.
Staff very helpful and friendly good location centre of town. Breakfast very good. I will definitely stay there again
The radiator was too hot.
Room was just okay
The bar is all wooden table and chairs for eating purposes. No leather settee's that Booking.com show in the photo's. Not the most comfortable place to drink in.
Very pleasant welcome. Nothing too much trouble.
Bathroom could do with upgrading
Great location and food
The attic room was enormous, loved it. The meals were lovely, were so very generous & very good value
Staff welcoming, comfortable bed, good tea/coffee facilities, free wifi.
Room over a public bar (there is a disclaimer on their page), we were not prepared fot the noise, 4 people in the bar when we went to the room at 9pm. Retired to bed shortly after 10pm, woke near midnight with music, talking and even screaming, both unable to return to sleep until after 2 am. Toilet still had dirty content in! Price increased by £20 due to town being busy @ weekends however so does the pub and your chances of disisturbed sleep, don't expect a full nights sleep. I expect a bed for the night and a quality of night sleep after paying £42.50 each. Advised staff in the morning, not interested. Good for party/night life residents. THIS IS A TRUE AND HONEST REVIEW, NOT ABOUT BAD MOUTHING THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I WOULD NOT RETURN.
The owners were very friendly and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Excellent location.
The Bar and Rooms are a little dated and could do with modernisation. The price is high for the standard and Breakfast is not included in the cost. There are hotels nearby far superior for just a little more. The beds could definately do with renewing and a King Size would be nice.
