Good Breakfast

It was very expensive 3 day trip on a B&B basis.I would not go to this hotel again.

Children allowed to run around unsupervised and extremely noisy. No real quiet area for residents wishing to relax

Room was clean and spacious good location

Room service took an hour and my starter was forgotton the chicken pesto pasta was bland and tasteless room service was very expensive some staff were dismissive

Liked the breakfast.. Didn't like the proximity of the bedroom. No .38, much too far for two people in their seventies, one of whom was not very fit .Especially since it appeared that there were in fact other more accessible rooms unoccupied. Witness people who were at the desk as we booked in and went to look at empty rooms. However, the room serviceor was very helpful in supplying a duvet the lessen the firmness of the bed. We also thought the spa experiences were extremely resonably priced and had we been there longer we would have taken up some of the offers. The staff were pleasant, helpful and polite. We also liked, very much the hotel's proximity to the beach.

There was no music and no entertainment of any kind during the Sunday evening. Which meant we went out and spent money elsewhere!

We liked the friendly staff and was given the option to upgrade which we did and it was excellent.

The rooms are tired looking, otherwise from staff,cleaning and food very good.

lots of little things... nothing major... room décor and facilities very dated, and a bit battered and bruised looking... be that furniture, curtains, carpet... shower was a cheap attachment to bath taps with no obvious way of switching from bath to shower... so I had to get assistance... as TV was so old it had such a small screen & it went blank several times (had to turn off & on again to fix)... also walls must be quite thin as I could hear guests in next rooms talking (and they weren't being loud)...

The Hotel is well run and in a great location the staff are efficient and allways helpfull.

We did not like the first room we had so they moved us the next day to a bigger and better one the next day,

Our stay at the Dalmeny was a great experience, the facilities, rooms, staff, food, entertainment was first class. I will be staying there again soon that's for sure and would recommend this hotel for a family holiday.

Quality of food excellent. Indigo bar - attractive and functional. staff very nice and helpful

shabby outside appearnace of the hotel belies the benefits inside. Think this should be attended to as a priority. Could be offputting to passing potential guests.

The room was large, clean and comfortable.

We had to wait quite a while for food in between courses.

The bedding is of a poor standard,the pillows especially are very poor standard and quality and require replacement.

The meal was excellent and the public areas were fantastic.

the room looked like it was part of staff quarters and did not the reflect the quality i expected at the Dalmeny. it was dated and rather neglected. The room also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke.

Not enough warning about large families, they were extremely noisy in their rooms and chaotic in the pool.

the hotel is very dated, I laughed when I opened my room and saw an original 70`S kitchenette, the carpets, curtains etc look as if they haven`T been changed for 30 years, beds uncomfortable, bed linen old, the public areas are horrible

The room was quite good .the shower was no good in room 5 .had to have a bath each day so that is bad for your costing .the telephone was no good .had to have the men to see it three times .I thought for the amount we paid the breakfast should be in with the price ,we were there for 9 nights so it was exspensive ,I liked the sports ,pool and beauty room .

The communal facilites were very good - the bar, restaurant and spa/swimming pool facilities. It was also very busy with familes and seemd to welcome children and have a number of activites for them. I would happily bring my family here.

My room was a budget one - but even so it was in need of refurbishment and for a similar rate you could easily stay at the nearby travel lodge. However, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Good children's facilities - spacious room with kitchen. Excellent car parking in a good location. Favourable check-out times.

Booked because my 9 year old loves to swim, I thought the pool was really nice. Very modern and all the facilities were fantastic.

A downside was the cost of the stay, I thought it was a little over priced, nearly £270 for 2 nights b&B. The bar staff were a little slow even though the bar was relatively empty on an evening. Didn't really look interested or enthusiastic to serve.
