Do you know that you have 16 red signs on the walls of the swimming area? On top of that you have quite a few round blue signs that also have rules as content. It would be enough with 5 signs close to the clock. The other ones take away the beauty of the place.
Plenty for young children to do
Everything was very good except, as in all Hotels, people seem to be unable to close doors quietly!
Lovely amenities and good size family room.
Our room needed some TLC and the option we booked didn't include breakfast but where not willing to pay the extra to the hotel when 3 of us could eat at cafe nearby for the same cost.
The children loved the entertainment on Saturday night ! They used the swiming pool Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon ! The grandparents enjoyed breakfast being sorted for every one and the kids being entertained Saturday night !
We could not fault the hotel or the staff !
Nice bar area, Sky Sports on TV. Pool area clean and tidy. Staff did respond when I expressed my disappointment in our first room. Breakfast food is plentiful and good quality.
When we arrived given a basement room despite being told the day before when I rang that we would have a refurbished room. They are old and very tired, not worth the money we paid(£310 for 2 nights). We were moved on the 2nd night to 2 doubles which were okay.
Mike on reception was helpful
Specifically booked as had a gym but that was closed for refurb - no mention of that on their website. Wallpaper pealing on ceiling. Room smelled of vomit / sweaty feet. Fixtures in bathroom rusty. overall the room was kinda tired and in need of a refurb. Poor value for money.
location. staff were pleasant
rooms, small, views terrible, bathroom tiny. Common areas needing a real make over. At £130 a night (no breakfast) i expected much much better. Clients persist in smoking at front door and butts are not cleared up. Hotel also held private functions which excluded regular guests from areas. Also mess from party not cleared up well into evening. Very unprofessional. Lilac walls in reception what can I say more to sum up this hotel. I will not be back
Great entertainment and leisure facilities.
The rooms did not lock from the inside. My little boy opened the door as he heard the cleaners arriving to start their shift on the sunday morning, my husband woke up as he heard him talking to one of them.
Location, staff, breakfast, kids club
Our room, whilst clean, was dated. The decor was in need of improvement and the bedding towels were part their best but, as advised previously were clean.
The swimming pool, the food was great and the club at night for the children was great, so we could relax.
We didn't like waiting for our food.
Location Sun balcony Food Cleanliness
Late night noise outside the bedroom The fact that I thought I was on the Dalmaney website when I booked and had to pay extra. Waiting to be seated in the restaurant
From Judy's welcome and professionalism at reception to the well proportioned room and of course the pool - everything to enjoy and excellent food/wine options. Much appreciated
I didn't have time to stay longer! The breakfast room is somewhat dull and would benefit from a little attention.
Great rooms Great food Great location Great children's facilities Great family hotel
The view, since we didn't stay long we didn't experience any of the facilities.
Our room needed some very urgent updating. Our bed was resting on a wooden board making it brick hard. The curtains were all stained and the yellow colour almost faded completely. The headboard was coming off the wall and the IKEA five pound coffee table was covered in burn marks the shower was in bad need of regrouting as the tiles were all black. We were booked for four nights but only stayed one as the hotel didn't have another room for us.
Very happy with stay Pool was great, breakfast good. Lots for kids to do
Room a bit dated but large and comfy. A really minor niggle
When I put in closeness to southport it says 7 miles away...but it was over an hour away from southport over 20 miles I would not have booked if I had known this
Excellent view of sea / beach Excellent facilities. In general the hotel was very smart and well equipped for all tastes. Although I had a couple of dislikes they would not put me off returning.
Bathroom and toilet were separate and generally a bit tired and in need of improvement to compliment the room. Also the mattress on the bed needed replacing as a bit lopsided
The staff ,the rooms.everything
We loved everything about you hotel no faults at all will certainly go back, the family suite is wonderful very big room for the children, fantastic stay.
Could not find a thing to complain about.
The rooms were spacious and designed on a Studio basis for Families. The whole package was designed for families with entertainment laid on it was balanced and relaxed. It was a happy place to be
Whilst apperently since the 1930s the hotel had appartahotel facilities of limited self catering in the rooms which is very popular for families now particularly for us as we have a disabled child and need the flexibility of being able to cater ourselves for our daughters special needs for some reason it appears the hotel has apolicy of going against the trend and is pahaing out such suites
Where do I start, stained pillows, towels with holes in them the room smelled, the rooms with families were really noisy could hear everything, the lunate peeling away behind the bathroom door, etc.......
Lovely staff & facilities
Too far away to walk to the tram
Loved the pool and facilities for children
Food prices were a disgrace, the bed was two singles pushed together and very old, springs in my back . Room smelled of off milk, bathroom was like a grannys bathroom and was so old and dated, rooms had damp, carpets were hard office carpet with chewing gum stuck in them, staff answered "to be fair those rooms are up for modernising" so why did we pay the same as anyone else? Rotten
Pool and the staff
Holes in carpet upholstery stained
Excellent breakfast, staff attentive, refurbished rooms are very nice
You must request a refurbished room on booking, older rooms are clean and tidy but need modernising.
