Daresbury Park Hotel  

Poor quality fittings very old and well past its best. I would not stay here again. Needs a complete referbishment asap. Tray of food left outside of my bedroom door from previous guests had to mask for it to be removed as it had been there all night and day. Very poor.

Staff very helpful and friendly

Not a great deal actually when I think about it

It was over run with young families on "wowcher weekends". The pool was crammed with people. The hotel rooms really do need a lick of paint. It's a dated place and needs doing up. There was one main restaurant ( the info I was given were that there were two main Restaurants and bar food)

The Location

I booked a double room and was given a twin room, the curtains were ripped and the lamp was falling apart.

Location was ideal for our purposes and the package was convenient. Very good breakfast, but evening meals appeared to be precooked, reheated and not of a standard expected.

Expected a higher standard given the name and price. Cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. Comments on booking not passed to front desk so they were not actioned (dinner booking and room preference) Booking.com email 'never seen one before' and check-in staff blank and unresponsive to any observations from the customer.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as was the service.

I didn't like the smell outside the room ... damp smell. I also thought that more tea/coffee/sugar and milk should be left in the room.

The hotel was very nice, the room was alrright and the bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also nice.

There was no lampshade on the lamp on one side. The bulb in the same lamp blew and tripped the lights for hte whole room. I reported it to reception who said they would let maintenance know. At the time of checking out no one had arrived. We had to take showers in the dark!

I think if I had paid the full price for the room I would have been very disappointed, needs decor updating. I would have preffered to stay in a premier inn, much better value for money, only comparing room standards and breakfast. I probably would have a different view if I had sampled the leisure facilities.

The room itself was lovely, big comfortable & clean.

When we arrived i got charged for the price of the room even though i had already paid by credit card when booking on line! I new i had already paid but the hotel receptionist insisted that i had`nt! I had to provide a copy of my bank statement to get the over payment back! When we got to our room there was dirty glasses & plates on the floor outside our room door! These got moved a couple of hours later even though i reported it straight away!

The staff were friendly, the resturant was nice.

The room wasnt cleaned properly there was food on the floor, straws from the previous guest on the floor from there drinks. And there was only one towel!!! Between 2 people. Thank god we only payed £39 for it.

Great value for money would definitely visit again

Location. Convenient brilliant price wonderful staff in all parts of the hotel ( Bar/resaruant/housekeeping ) On Sunday morning whilst having breakfast the fire alarm went off, all the staff knew exactly what to do, they evacuated the restaurant with no panic and took all patrons to the assembly point. It was very comforting that your staff knew exactly what to do quickly and efficiently. When it was safe to return the staff escourted us back in. Well done and thank you

There are areas around the hotel that could do with a little tlc (some corridor carpets and bedroom furnature, shower)
