The lack of cleanliness Poor facility's Broken chair in bedroom - which I fell off! Having stayed many times in previous years dissapointed with the standard of rooms, hotel presentation, restaurant and cleanliness
the bed was on its last legs..seen far too many nights!
Food was good. Staff pleasant.
Hotel looked tired. Lots of potential but needs lots of money spent on bringing it up to scratch
Staffs were very efficient and well organised. Hotel has swimming pool and gym. However, I did not have time to enjoy! Journey from Warrington via M62,M6 and M56 was pleasantly smooth. The room rate was reasonable.
The room I stayed -smelly due to the furniture was too old -bathroom tiles and floor were dirty! -toilet was very noisy (continuously for 2mins) -Wifi was really slow The restaurant -chairs were torn, I really didn't know why they were still there -I had my dinner somewhere else as the selection was so limited.
Hotel was in need of decoration -corridor carpets were thread bare
Wifi was difficult to connect to very intermittent and extremely slow. If you have work to do online don't stay here. Food was very substandard and expensive. Had to park to far from reception. It was noted that the receptionist did not ask if I had enjoyed my stay. Maybe he knew what the likely answer would be!
The quality of the food is average to poor. The choice is very limited and not value for money.
Style of room, very comfortable large bed, reasonable price
TV didn't work, resorted to netflix and wifi kept cutting out, only one towel although booked for 2 people, shower was just a dribble, cups were dirty, some of the plug sockets didn't work, loud beeping noise at 6.20 am in the corridor which woke us up, followed by a fire alarm at 7.30, and a second at 10.30. Far too many problems for a hotel which should be much better.
The leisure facilities
The two false fire alarms!
Rooms cold, staff in bar not interested, breakfast service poor
Very good breakfast which was a nice surprise after a very disappointing meal the night before
Worst evening meal that we have experienced for a long time. How they managed to prepare a carvery that was so taste less is anybody's guess.
No cold water Alarms went off during stay Poor condition of hotel Gym staff lack customer service Bar staff lack of customer service Smell of rooms
Cheap and cheerful Perfectly adequate for a few nights away
A little tired, but good value
The standard rooms are now looking dated and tired.
The location is convenient for me, the price is ok
The place is really worn out and filthy. One can see the attempts of fixing this, which are mostly cosmetic, so don't change the overall perception. Ok if you have to stay in the area for a couple of days, otherwise avoid!
Location near office
have to check in early for modernised room - even that is very tired with inadequate lighting Standard of food is low, especially breakfast which appears to have been cooked a long time in advance
as usual mostly just right in fact the breakfast gets better
pair of soild off white knickers under the edge of bed !!!!!! rediculously scruffy , big big minus
everything was good; nothing special but all good;
carpets, wow, so loud and colourful, ha ha
It was very cheap
I know it's petty but in the health spa the jacuzzi was broken, the shower wasn't working properly and when I asked to borrow a towel the attendant said it would cost £1.When I pointed out that half the place was out of order and I had no money on me I was told that he couldn't make any exceptions. I'm sure it was more than his job's worth, but if he'd said "sorry about the broken stuff - have this one on me" I'd have felt like a valued customer. As it was it I left damp, grumpy and in no rush to return.
Night reception staff car park barrier, broken chairs in room, continual running water noise , toilet pedestal leaking, does not deserve four star rating
Great value for what we paid. Breakfast was included but as we were heading to airport well before it began can not say what was available.
Furniture and fittings could do with a revamp they were looking tired.
Price!! And breakfast!
Tv in room old and broken.
Daresbury Park is a good location to reach any of the surrounding areas especially Chester with all it has to offer. So convenient for the M56. My special request for certain location of room, as my mother has a disability, has never been a problem. Always freindly staff.
If it is a weekend breakfast can sometimes be delayed due to the volume of people staying at the hotel.
Fantastic staff can't fault them always ready to help
Plumbing system very noisey, rooms in need of updating
Room was comfortable & reception was efficient
Evening meal was very poor, including service in the restaurant. In contrast breakfast was very good. Velcro under seat in restaurant laddered my tights
