Quality of room
Roadworks in immediate area made Hotel access extremely difficult. Perhaps this issue could have been communicated better
proximity to work location. gym was good. clean room.
old fashioned rooms, layout of entire hotel very confusing, breakfast - quantity over quality.
There was nothing to dislike fantastic
Nothing all good
Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, good food and good facilities
Stayed here Sat 17th Jan 2015 Couldnt of picked a worse place.... Double room consisted of 2 singles pushed together it was like sleeping on a hard surface. The room was very dusty especially on curtain pelmets, the phone didnt work so a treck to reception to order room service which they never brought are drinks and still wanted to charge us £6 for 2 trips to are room. Breakfast vile and overpriced to say the least, dirty cutlery left on tables, it was a 1 man show hats off to the young lad that seated us couldnt of been more helpful, felt sorry for him the amount of stick he was getting.
The price was very good, the location was handy.
The decor was tired, the room needed updating, the bed was clearly smaller than originally fitted as the fixed bedside tables were some distance from bed, light bulb missing from lamp, room very dark, the walls were very thin, could hear other guests in their bathrooms, the breakfast was cold and hard even at first serving.
Very pleasant stay, not one fault other than the jacuzzi wasn't working.
Got a very cheap deal. Rooms decent size. Great for a girly get together, just don't expect a modern hotel!
Hotel is well overdue an overhaul. Few little bits and bobs need attention in rooms.
The breakfast was nice in the morning
The evening meal in the restaurant was rushed and cold. There room was cold and had to ring reception for a heater. They tv remote didn't work. The towels were really small.
Our room was lovely with a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and well laid out. All in all perfect for our one night stay.
Large spacious facilities, good room. Good value breakfast, friendly staff. Although we did not use all the facilities (leisure) I am sure they would be up to the same standard elsewhere in the hotel. Plenty of parking space available. Would stay again if in the area.
Competent and helpful staff at the reception
- Built like a labyrinth - Restaurant staff seems disgusted by their work - Restaurant heavily overpriced (except for breakfast)
The room was nice breakfast was ok
The cold warter tap didn't work on the bath
Everything apart from the dislikes
The water being cold when we ran a bath, the dust that was on the tops of the curtains
The TV in room 163 needed upgrading .
The receptionist on Friday when we arrived was very good, she found a room for us on the ground floor as we had our dog with us.
Breakfast on Sunday was not very good, the restaurant was busy and the quality of the food was poor, the bacon was almost rare, the fried bread wasn't fried, the queue to get toast took 20 minutes during which time the food was even colder. Our TV didn't work properly, perhaps affected by the heavy winds but the receptionist that know one else had mentioned it so I guess it was the TV, she said someone would come and take a look but despite mentioning it twice know one appeared
The bed so so comfortable also room service was great
Staff inattentive. Corridor smelt of mould. Door frame of room damaged, it was broken in before. Bathroom water damaged. A lot of people hanging around the corridor and common area. Food was not good.
Large Restaurant Helpful Staff Well located Great facilities Quiet, no disturbances at night
Tired rooms in dire need of updating. Old style TV, only 5 channels. Musty smelling corridors.
Staff very helpful. The rooms comfortable and shower facilities excellent also the breakfast value for money.
Low price Big bed location size of TV
rooms are dated not all rooms are the same standard
The 3rd room offered was warm and comfortable.
Was initially given a room without heating in the middle of winter. The TV remote didn't work. The alternative room was not clean. Was then offered a heater.Standard food seemed a little expensive. Restaurant menu on a Friday and weekend is Carvary, not ideal if you are a vegetarian.Dogs and other pets are allowed into this hotel.
The hotel was ok but could do with a revamp. It's clean but tired looking. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Needs some money spent on it.
We booked this hotel not realising it was a Britainnia hotel having had a bad experience with the chain previously. Although it was a better experience than last time, the place was aged and in need in some investment, the breakfast was mediocre and it really is in the middle of nowhere. On the upside...the pub in the near by village was fab!
