- Comfortable bed & good size room - All facilities I needed - Breakfast & evening meals available - Ample free parking
- No welcoming reception. Had to ring a bell and wait a few moments for someone to come. - Location of reception door not very clear - DARK BARN is a depressing name even tho' it's brown - Parking area being refurbished
Everything was great happy to assist with anything will go again
Nice relaxing stay, comfortable
Friendly, helpful staff, large room, nice shower room, very comfortable.
Very poor phone signal, but problem is over entire area.
Quiet location, clean room and helpful staff. Free Wifi.
Breakfast OK, cooked breakfast on buffet very unappetising and at £9 expensive.
The bedroom was roomy . Lovely views.
The restaurant was more like a motorway cafe, plastic tables. Sparse furniture quite gloomy.
Good location for a business trip to Gloucester. Lovely grounds. Quiet and places to stroll around the grounds
Has the potential to be a really good place but needs more love and attention. Reception are off-putting. Restaurant not inviting.
Large room with a comfy bed, good shower, good wifi, good breakfast, helpful staff, big car park.
Maybe the location is a bit out of town, but it's not a problem.
Room quite & well furnished. The flexibility shown to give me an early 6:30 breakfast.
Parking area was very wet in places so you had to try & find an area where you could get out of the car & access the boot without getting shoes full of water. Price of a cooked breakfast
The young man who greeted us and served our breakfast. He was polite and helpful. The bed linen and towels were lovely and the room was nice enough.
The breakfast was cold on the first day - the toasters took forever. The bacon seemed to have been steamed rather than grilled/fried. The place is beautiful and could be so busy but there seems to be something missing.
Easy to Find, huge double room, great Wifi in the room, tv freeview worked ok.
Spacious room and plenty of storage. TV and Wifi worked well.
Bathroom very cramped and as with the room was tired and needed a refit. Black mould between shower tiles. The room was dark as the window was very small. Kettle fitting very worn so that it had to be held on to reach a boil. Layout of the room chalets in a rectangle meant that guests chatting in the central area could be heard by all chalets, which was not welcome after midnight. Seems to be run on minimum staff.
the tv, the tea, friendly staff
The smell of sewerage in the bathroom ,untidy outlook, could have done with a good and thorough clean, not sure about the dodgy looking cupboard in bathroom and plastic chair....and very unfortunate that a very rowdy group of drunken blokes making such a hoo ha when they came back from the pub so got no sleep \(I appreciate that was not the staffs fault)
Not a lot. Like a grubby Fawlty Towers on weed!
Everything except the wi-fi
Beautiful courtyard, plenty of parking.
Room was hot and stuffy, due to hot towel rail, but opening windows increased disturbing traffic noise into early hours of the morning.
Excellent value for money. The manager there couldnt do enough for us. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere and would stay there again
For us the location was convinient and the room suited use. A little outdated with decor and for example they must be converting bits as breezeblocks were showing around new windows? Just felt we were put in rooms that were not quite ready but we only needed to lay a head! Rooms were very clean though so was pleasant for that. Not that expensive compared to others around Gloucester
Wifi didn't work and signal was not available on phone so had no connection
The size of the room/facilities was good. The location was good for us.
The postage stamp TV. The WIFI was non-existent in our room.
The single saving grace-the free wifi........ and leaving at 03.30,forfeiting the pre-ordered, non-refundable £9 breakfast
Pretty much everything, from the building site appearance to the non-working kettle and the lack of power points.
Room size Wifi connection Food was nice Barns had character
Water a bit discoloured Slight drain smell outside Beds a bit hard for me Prefer toiletries in nice packaging rather than machines on wall Prefer to be served breakfast not self serve
The set up. Tranquility of area. Peace after a long day. Grounds were perfect for walking. Value for money. Food was good value.
