Very clean spaces, powerfull shower, homemade breakfast, nice walking paths around the hotel, very helpful owner (smiling, kind to give directions and even help us to print our boarding passes there!).

Lack of windows in the bedroom, located in the attic so pretty warm in summer days, small but neat room. There is a lovely terrace though with beautiful view were we spend our most of the time!

    Host was friendly and talkative.

We had at twin room that was so small we couldn't take our bags into. We had to get our overnight and next days cloths from our bags before we went to our room.Breakfast was ordinary. No fresh fruit or yogurt.

What a lovely, helpful and friendly landlady, made me feel very welcome. A great cooked breakfast selection to set you up for your day. Good location about halfway up the loch.

A shame there's only one bar/restuarant in the town but St.Augustus is only about 5 mile away.

The owner is a very nice and friendly person, the breakfast is good and the room was fine and clean. When you have a car and can easily go a few miles then there are several nice places to look at. If you do not have a car the location may not be the best, because there is not much in a 10 miles area around. There is a hotel 100 metres away that offers very good food, but it is the only one around and they are often very busy. Maybe not sufficient in the main season, you may have to go to Fort Augustus.

The room did not offer much space for luggage. It was a twin room that I had for myself, but for two people, each with suitcases or big bags it will be a serious problem. There are multiple minor issues that made the room not very practical (you notice that it was not originally built for accomodation) : The mirror is not above the sink, but at the sidewall. This is weird, shaving is not very easy there :-). There are too few desks to put all the small items on, that you usually have (purse, camera, keys, water bottle, etc...) Nearly no chance to hang up a jacket, a shirt, etc. If anything gets wet outside, it's hard to get it dry again. There is no easily accessible mains plug for charging e.g. the camera or the phone (there is one at the mirror for the razor, but no shelf underneath).

Heather the lady who welcomed us was excellent - nothing was to much for her and she had a lovley warm and friendly attitude. The B&B was spotless and the breakfast was very good - as a vegitarian i dont eat meat but that wasn't a problem as Heather gave me some lovley vegitarian sausages......Wonderful! I stayed in a Twin bed room with my son - and we had a very good night's sleep. We would definitely recommend this B&B.
