friendly staff : the room was clean with tea and coffee supplied. good varied menu with various special offers.
The parking at the back . the whole area could do with being re-surfaced. Wifi was very flaky and only seemed to work in the morning when i guess it there was not a lot of demand
food very good delicious coffee
only one member of staff having to do everything including checking people out so had to wait. toast brought too early so cold when you're ready to eat it.
good night's sleep friendly staff clean
radiator wasnt working in room
Excellent customer service from all staff and made to feel very welcome. Very comfortable bed with clean and tidy room. Food very good. Will definitely book to stay again.
Good road access
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was ok and good value for money ,although we did have a 45 minute wait.
The road noise was overwhelming and we would have liked to open the window but didn't because of it. The room had two huge wardrobes in it one full of junk! The bathroom ceiling sloped so it was not possible to use the shower .
all the staff were very helpful as we had had a very stressful journey & we had a wedding only about 45 mins time. While we were changing they arranged a taxi for us, & after that everything was perfect. breakfast was BRILL.
The duvet was far too hot 2 lesser togs would have been better. a person snoring next door & the bathroom light being switched on, during the night.
Relaxed friendly atmosphere with great staff. Good bar and restaurant and clean comfortable room.
Our only concern was the number of unavailable dishes when ordering in the restaurant.
Value for money and excellent food
Room faced onto road, lots of traffic noise. Could not get wifi to work despite staff doing their best to help
We have stayed here several times, as a. couple and with family. At various times of the year. The setting is lovely and there is always plenty to do and see. We have seen plenty of changes of staff but never had a bad meal.
We take into account buy w/ends but sometimes waiting for food takes a while.
Friendliness and efficiency of staff
Rather tired decoration and décor. Room rather small and disabled access only moderately good
Everything was to a high standard and the breakfast was amazing
staff were so friendly, cheerful and helpful, nothing too much trouble for them rooms very clean and comfortable food was very good
décor is a little bit tired
The convenience for getting to places we were interested in. A very good English breakfast.
The double bed was comfortable but a bit high off the floor. No problem about getting in and out, but concern about rolling out in the night.
Staff were all very friendly and worked hard. Very impressed with them.
Shower in Room 8 wasn`t great but we were only there for two nights. If you were there for the week or so it would become annoying.
the inn is very good we like it we have enjoined are stay
Good food and service -eve meal .Friendly helpful staff
Being woken up by someone continuously trying a key in the door at 3am
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good food at a reasonable price. Close to the Abbey and A38. Good value on a special offer.
Creaky floorboards. In common with many properties of this type, some rather tired looking decor. most bedrooms face the rather busy road to Totnes.
friendly staff, we chose to eat there in eve. I left an item of clothing behind in room by mistake when I left, they had kept it aside when I returned looking for it. Very happy.
Good selection of grub, roomy. Great car park and its easy to find. The room price offered with booking.com was non refundable and despite us knowing well in advance we couldn't go and had a pretty good excuse we didn't get close to a refund....
Blind in the bedroom let too much light in at daylight
All staff were very friendly and service very good. Excellent breakfast!
Could not get wifi in room although it said we could, but did not try downstairs.
Good atmosphere, excellent breakfast and a convenient location just off A38. Rooms were comfortable a clean. I would stay again.
