The staff at Datchet Mead Hotel are very friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. Food service was very good, and breakfast was included in the very reasonable room price. Despite some issues with warmth and convenience, I would stay there again. My room was very cold, and no matter what the thermostat was set to, would not warm up enough to be comfortable (in January). After about 9pm, the staff was gone, and I had to have a pin number to open the front door - good security, but poor convenience.

Staff were very friendly. I was allowed to park my car for the duration of my holiday,at no extra cost. This is a mjor benefit and should be exploited for the greater sucess of the hotel Non smoking rooms should be on offer

Friendly staff willing to go that bit extra to ensure the visitors comfort. Much better value than the faceless chain hotels. It is in an old house and suffers from the usual problems of turning a house into a hotel, Bathroom a bit small.

We only stayed one night but were really impressed by the attitude of the staff and the owners. They were charming, helpful, and were prepared to consider any request, however unusual. We went to Heathrow and left our car there. When we return we are checked in for breakfast at 7a.m! The en-suite room was large and clean, and the breakfast excellent. The only possible negative is that although there is a large bar with modern glass and metal tables, there is no lounge for relaxed reading and/or chatting. But all the benefits outweigh this minor point.

From the outside, not at all inspiring. However on entering the hotel, you receive a warm welcome. Bar and dining room facilities excellent and menus for both comprehensive and food well cooked and presented. Bedroom no.2 Was truly excellent, comfortable and roomy with an excellent bathroom(shower unit). Family run hotel utilising longstanding local staff. A gem, will be staying there again. As stated the outside of hotel is drab and not at all inviting and does not do credit to what one finds inside the hotel.

A warm welcome. Confortable and clean rooms. Good value for price. Close to Windsor casttle and Heathrow. Very quiet at night. I was on the side of the garden but you do not hear at all the planes with the windows closed. A restaurant and bar facilities are at your disposal on site. The bar was noisy when you are inside it but you do not hear anything from your room.

The rooms were very clean, with freeview tv and teamaking facilities. The staff seemed nice. The walls were so thin, we could hear someone vomiting in another room like they were in bed with us. There was also a lot of other general noise around the hotel. The bed was like concrete and the full english breakfast in the morning was only just edible.

It makes a nice change to go to a family hotel instead of an impersonal chain. Nothing was too much trouble and they even offered to extend the breakfast time so we didn't have to get up so early.

Price compared to most others in Windsor where car parking appeared to be at a premium The image alone would not have tempted myself or my wife into the hotel, neither would the Reception area. However these concepts were changed once in our room ( No 1 ) and the breakfast was first class.Nevertheless on the basis of ' passing trade' there would have been insufficient to tempt us in
