“I was very impressed my the cleanliness of our room and by the friendliness of staff. They even offered to drive out to collect a takeaway for us at 11pm. The fact its a family run buisness fits the charcter of the building. All in all very well managed.”

Good size room, finished to a good standard. Plenty of parking and close to Windsor Castle. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast time is a lot later than I required, only starting at 8:30, when I needed to leave at 7:30. Also there was a shortage of power sockets in the room, meaning I had to boil the kettle on the floor by the door.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Location was great, just off the m4. Free parking and wi-fi is what really made me opt for this hotel initially. Food was great and would definitely use again. Only minor thing I could say was furniture in room was a little eclectic and carpet maybe in need of replacement.

Clean, comfortable room & good breakfast included. Nothing on the web site indicated the hotel was a mile from the station- a long walk with baggage & no car!The web site said there was a restaurant-no- which meant a long hike in the dark to eat. Also no bar. Impossible on the web site to book anything other then a "single room" even when entering that it was for two people-as a result charged a £15 "supplement".

The other reviews are correct - the outside gives the impression of a drab run-down old place but inside it is beautifully kept and very comfortable. Do not be put off by the exterior. There is ample car parking in a safe location, a nice beer garden, a modern bar, and the room we had was comfortable and the shower had masses of hot water. Top marks for friendly and welcoming staff, and great value for money. We chose it for the location but it turned out to be awkward to get to Heathrow without a car from there. Very easy with a car, but Datchet railway station doesn't take you anywhere useful and buses are hopeless.

The room was adequate with good bathroom and lashings of hot water. We dined in the restaurant and found the food excellent. We both had the fillet steak, mine with chips and a side salad. The steaks were the best we have had in years and my side salad was varied and crispy fresh. The wife had a very good selection of vegetables and new potatoes. Again excellent. The sweets were both very enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended. we were on the second floor and being elderly found the stairs a little steep.

Staff were very friendly. I was allowed to park my car for the duration of my holiday,at no extra cost. This is a mjor benefit and should be exploited for the greater sucess of the hotel Non smoking rooms should be on offer

Friendly staff willing to go that bit extra to ensure the visitors comfort. Much better value than the faceless chain hotels. It is in an old house and suffers from the usual problems of turning a house into a hotel, Bathroom a bit small.

We only stayed one night but were really impressed by the attitude of the staff and the owners. They were charming, helpful, and were prepared to consider any request, however unusual. We went to Heathrow and left our car there. When we return we are checked in for breakfast at 7a.m! The en-suite room was large and clean, and the breakfast excellent. The only possible negative is that although there is a large bar with modern glass and metal tables, there is no lounge for relaxed reading and/or chatting. But all the benefits outweigh this minor point.

From the outside, not at all inspiring. However on entering the hotel, you receive a warm welcome. Bar and dining room facilities excellent and menus for both comprehensive and food well cooked and presented. Bedroom no.2 Was truly excellent, comfortable and roomy with an excellent bathroom(shower unit). Family run hotel utilising longstanding local staff. A gem, will be staying there again. As stated the outside of hotel is drab and not at all inviting and does not do credit to what one finds inside the hotel.

A warm welcome. Confortable and clean rooms. Good value for price. Close to Windsor casttle and Heathrow. Very quiet at night. I was on the side of the garden but you do not hear at all the planes with the windows closed. A restaurant and bar facilities are at your disposal on site. The bar was noisy when you are inside it but you do not hear anything from your room.

The rooms were very clean, with freeview tv and teamaking facilities. The staff seemed nice. The walls were so thin, we could hear someone vomiting in another room like they were in bed with us. There was also a lot of other general noise around the hotel. The bed was like concrete and the full english breakfast in the morning was only just edible.

It makes a nice change to go to a family hotel instead of an impersonal chain. Nothing was too much trouble and they even offered to extend the breakfast time so we didn't have to get up so early.

Price compared to most others in Windsor where car parking appeared to be at a premium The image alone would not have tempted myself or my wife into the hotel, neither would the Reception area. However these concepts were changed once in our room ( No 1 ) and the breakfast was first class.Nevertheless on the basis of ' passing trade' there would have been insufficient to tempt us in
