Hotel lift, live entertainment,
Would have preferred a sea view but at the price our room facing away from the sea was a good size.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient.
Hotel very dated. Bathroom carpet smelt of urine. No shower. Tiny TV. Bed was solid.
Me and my wife like it that much we will be going back
We like it all
Liked the fact it was very clean with plenty of tea + coffee in the room
very dated the TV we had wasn't even as good as the one I had as a child and i'm nearly 30!! Plus we only has 2 channels!! yes thats 2!! very very old bed especially the bed base. I have a better one that was only cheap at home
Location was good close to local amentities and also had a lovely sea view
There was no heating in the room ️️an being middle of November it was extremely cold in the room with very thin blankets to use, it also states the hotel has wifi connection yet because we were on the far side of the building you couldn't connect to it making it difficult to contact relatives. Also the was no signal for the tv again because of the part of the building we were in which wasn't impressive as there was nothing to do other than sit in a freezing cold room! There were also a lot of little fly's in the room which wasn't very pleasant but yet we wasn't offered another room even though there were others available!
The red seats at the bar where piano is where discussing torn and black stuff on the arms!! Two different beds ripped carpets with stains !!! Cold everything is dated was not a nice place to stay!!!
The room was clean, the location was good but thats about it for the plus side!
No central heating, asked to be moved but basically told "tough", complained twice about no heating & when we returned from an eveining meal we discovered 2 electric heaters had been placed in the room & set to full blast, room still cold, window was not fitted correctly so constant draught. The door had no lock on the inside so had to wedge a chair to secure through the night, parking advertised as "free parking" but they do not have a car park, its road side parking, in no way is this a 2 star or even a 1 star hotel, more like a hostel. Please think twice before you book this hotel.
Views over the bay Friendly staff Good breakfast for the money Quiet area Park outside hotel Clean beds & covers
Stairs down to restaurant Bath panel loose & drafty No heating on in bedroom Tired & in need of TLC, inc bedroom cabinets etc Table cloth in restaurant stained, table 1
Great View, Great Location, Clean, spacious, Plenty of Tea Friendly Staff
Friendly staff and located by the beach.
Cheap coffee and not very good parking
Wifi code was poor
Nice Room, Excellent Location, Good Sea View, Excellent Breakfast. Pleasant Staff.
Nothing Really, Bit Dated in places but nothing that really upset us.
Toilet fans/extractors too noisy.Neighbour left Extractor on all night.Felt like helicopter was on my ceiling.Couldnt sleep
the bed was comfortable and we had a nice view from our room. room was clean and staff were friendly.
the shower didn't have much power in it, the shower curtain and bedroom curtains were torn
the hotel is in a good location on the sea front . the manager and staff where excellent and very helpful . the breakfast was first class . the price was good value for money will stay again
the hotel needs a refurbishment but we believe this will commence next year
The whole of the stay...
Location...although not in town centre overlooked the sea and only a brisk walk or a short bus ride into town.
Hotel looking a bit tired in places
nice view out of bedroom window
no heating till morning
The staff were very friendly, the hotel is in need of modernisation, it looks a bit "tired" but the breakfast was very good, For one night and the price it was not bad
One of our parties room radiator did not work and the on-suite was very tiny with a sink in the bedroom but the shower was OK, They had put a fan heater in the room.
nice welcome friendly reception staff very helpfull breakfast excellent
bedroom draughty and not very warm noisy toilet not worth the £90.00 we paid
Location Parking Staff
Breakfast served between 8-9:30am - far too early Didn't have a sea view room Room was clean but tired
Great place to stay loved it a lot thank you
Just a short walk to town and beach
Parking could have been a pain but it worked out great
Value for money but with a catch.. although the hotel states there rooms with views of the sea, the catch is that a premium of £10 is required on the day you arrive. The £36 is for a street side room ONLY (that's the catch). But the room was okay. Staff were excellent, plenty of lights, excellent views of the sea from the lounge and landing, decent location, I'd visit again simple because the bed was so comfy.... the only modern piece of furniture in the hotel lol but really comfy.
The 'shower' was more like a 'drizzle' lol. Worst I've ever experienced which was a shame because the showers and toilets were spotlessly clean. Disappointed to hear on the last minute that a £10 premium was required for a sea view room. Would've been better had we known before. Very dated building with old fashioned lifts.
the sea view
bedroom was situated not far from the lift which was very noisy. you had to hand your keys in every time you left the premises, so when you returned you had to wait for reception staff to either finish checking other guests in or serving in the bar/restaurant
