Location was good and view from room was beautiful.
Disappointed stay, disturbed by other customers around about 3:45 in the morning. Didn't think it was value for money, room was pleasant but needed updating. The whole hotel needed updating.
The whole atmospheres and location
No snacks in the bar
friendly efficient staff good location clean and comfortable excellent breakfast
parking can be tricky at times
Nothing. The staff are second to none. You are so lucky to have such professional and personable staff. Please look after them, they are all priceless
The bed, lift out of order
Daunceys is a bit of a time warp, but in a good way. We really enjoyed our night there. The room was very basic, but also very clean, and the bed was comfortable with good white linen. The stay was significantly enhanced by having a seaside room, with the sound of the sea so close to fall asleep to. The staff were also very efficient and friendly, and the breakfast well organised and plentiful.
Maybe some slight updates, especially in the bathroom, would not go astray, but this should not be at the expense of the good reasonable value of the hotel.
Location is excellent
Hotel is in need of refurbishment
Decor Had to pay for an upgrade to sea view TV...old and bad reception....not digital
The room was a standard room, it had everything I needed for my stay. I liked that the bed was really comfortable and wasn't cold at night. Had enough space and wasn't crowded. The bar was good and was reasonably priced. Plenty of space for everyone to have a seat. There was entertainment which was very good. Wasn't far from any attractions and is within walking distance. I parked my motorcycle outside the front of the hotel and it was very safe left outside. Recommend this hotel.
The only criticism is that the TV kept loosing signal and that any time I turned the bathroom light on the extractor fan came on which was a bit noisy and wasn't pleasant when using the facilities.
The hotel is very reasonable, and the comforts good. Well positioned in the older part of town. Close to some very good restaurants. The outside patio has stunning views although it has no protection from rain or wind which was a shame, but it did not spoil the trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms very clean and tidy. Everything you could want if you are out and about during the day. A pleasant well stocked bar and keen prices.
The hotel has a restaurant, but to eat there in the evening you have to reserve a table and give in your order by 3pm. Not a great idea when you have been travelling for a long time. However, there are many eateries in the area which offer good and varied food.
breakfast was good but had to pay at desk every morning
very noisey doors banging some sort of fans running all night so left early as had no sleep for 2 nights
Good location, friendly staff, good breakfast and will visit again.
some of the staff went out of their way to help as much as possible. room was adequate, and pleasant.
prior to our stay we phoned to book breakfast ....when we arrived we were told that this was an extra cost even though on the form it was included and yet on the computer it wasn't. in the end we had to go into town for our breakfast because hotel policy dictated that our breakfast was £6:95 per person ...(which is the usual price for a fully cooked breakfast.) but my wife and I only eat 2 rounds of toast for breakfast and we were still expected to pay the full asking price...we didn't find this acceptable. yet the management were not willing to accommodate us, stating that the hotel owners did not allow it.
Had to wait till 3 o clock to get in our rooms
Great view over looking sea, with balcony to seat and appreciate it fully. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Was a bit dated and our room was bit tatty and in need of decoration, with old rubber hose attaches to bath taps for shower.
Good clean accommodation, friendly staff.
A bit careworn and tired - threadbare stair carpets, poor TV - but what would you expect for this price?
Brilliant views the friendly staff and the excellent breakfast
Needs a bit of TLC from the company
Bed was comfortable and the food was lovely
Rooms had damp patches and creaky floorboards but for the age of the hotel, it wasn't really a bad thing
location good, nice views from balcony
the bed was way too soft and wornout
Excellent price 10-15 min walk from town centre Right on the waters edge Functional rooms
Single Bed No frills such as shampoo/cap/gel Basic accommodation, but better options are available for a little more Tired looking but with everything you need.
Location to town centre clean hotel friendly helpfull staff
The hotel needs a little tlc looking a bit worn out better comfy beds
The location overlooking the sea. Comfortable bed
Very creaky floors, even my neighbour's movements were loud! No breakfast available before 8:30am
Fantastic sea views. Breakfast good. Staff Friendly.
The Decor, hotel looks run down and shabby needs freshening up. Room furniture needs updating.
Seafront location. Good price for our short stay and clean.
Décor needs attention (but we knew that before we went).
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was spotless, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
