The hotel room was clean but needs major building refurbishment, had cracks and holes on most parts of walls and the worst part was that we couldn't shower because it didn't work.
Location convenient for our needs. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Bedroom very scruffy and in need of refurbishment. Squares of wallpaper missing where sockets been moved. Leak in bathroom. Television didn't work properly, needs renewing. Electric cables/fittings shoddy. Query warrants 1 star rating.
The breakfast was good and the staff went out of their way to accomodate me when I was doing night shifts. The lady in the mornings at Breakfast is their best asset.
No bad experience
the breakfast waitress
The grey nets were very fetching
Nice booking in.
Room very rundown, no bulbs in lights, furniture rundown, needed decorating e.g. Painting, Wallpaper, skirting board etc due to damage. Cleaning not great, shower head caked in dirt! Strange corridors leading to room strange layout?
breakfast was excellent
There was a singles night in the function room until 1.30 with loud music which kept us awake. Pity
- Free WIFI is a GREAT BONUS - Quiet - Comfy bed - Great bathroom facilities - Great Staff Members - The Windows open which is great for fresh air
- The television was a bit too small to see from the bed. - The toilet door didn't close fully
Comfortable , quiet, warm, single bedroom with en suite, very good breakfast.
Small friendly hotel
Single room was warm and clean, with tea and coffee facilities, TV and WiFi. Very small en-suite, but perfectly adequate. Really nice cooked breakfast and I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful.
Early morning noise, presumably from the kitchen. The decor was a bit shabby and many rooms had to use shared bathrooms
Room looked like a half finished project but warm
Pleasant staff and hotel easy to find.Breakfast v good
Bed not comfortable
The room was very cold and damp.Decor was dated. Beds were very old and worn.
The hotel is very very tired, too dark and no facilities available. I was the only guest fir the majority of my stay. Although my room was clean it was dark, shabby and basically whilst there was a new bed and new shower there was s need for the hole in the wall to be filled, needed painting. Light bulbs in the new lights and a clean modern carpet and curtains. The net lacy curtains were shabby and hanging down lower than the chintzy curtains. They've renumbered the rooms but haven't painted the doors to cover where the old numbering was. Christmas trees with no decorations on, why bother? Tokenistic efforts to give the place a 'tickle' of a refurb. Very poor. Won't be staying again.
I paid for a full breakfast but was informed that they did not have the facilities over the xmas period.
it was clean
When you are offered a breakfast, you expect especially in the winter a hot meal. All that was provided was cereal and fruit, cold plate. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Great value. Made welcome at a Christmas party that was going on.
The music license finished at 1am
the room was dirty, there was only one hanger in the wardrobe. the doors were hanging off the wardrobe. We were situated right above the functions room, so we didn't get to sleep until the music finished at 1am.
I liked the breakfast
No toilet or shower in the room. Shower cold.
Read the previous reviews so i was concerned But hotel wa fine.. > Hotel was fine, basic , hot water and rooms were warm. > Breakfast was good It is not a place for you and your girl friend for a romatic get away. But i used this for a place to stay after a night out with my friends... so fine.. > 10 min walk from station
> beds a smaller, > carpets are not brilliant..but consider its a cheap hotel > decor on hotel is dated.. but be realsitic on what your paying for. !
The location was near to our meeting venue. Looked good from the out-side. Liked bar, and dining room - good evening meal & breakfast. Minimal staff, but very pleasant. Under new ownership, enthusiastic manageress?/owner spoke of work to be done, and once refurbished to standard, will be lovely.
Lack of heating throughout Heating not working in bedroom No double-glazing - drafty bedroom Very small, cold bathroom Poor lighting in bedroom Very soft single bed No toiletries Dated furniture NO LIFTS - LOADS OF STAIRS
The Only good thing about this hotel was the TV had some ok stations.
The hotel was old fashion hotel staff poor we were not told about breakfast or anything about the hotel we just spent one night here but mostly stayed in the hotel down the road
Location is good, right on the main road, with ample parking. Breakfast good.
Damp and cold room, probably due to a faulty radiator.
Staff very helpful and breakfast good.
Very tired hotel, needs major updating. No hot water in our room's basin. Damp walls, dreary decoration. Very noisy and no parking on Saturday nights due to Single's parties.
