Everything else especially the music blaring untill 1.30 am
Room was clean but very tired looking, breakfast included. Plenty of car parking.
Very tried looking net curtains on the front of the hotel needed a wash which would have made the place look better.
staff were polite/helpfull breakfast was good down stairs was on the way to be inviting. garden was nice
door frame damaged/ door closing arm hanging off.peeling wallpaper.stains on side of drawers.picture frame cracked.springs on matress (u could feel them).cold shower late night, but fine morning.
Location Food Surroundings Staff Comfort Facilities
Smell of paint ! ! ! but give it time, it's in refurb'
Just the one thing/person. A Spanish lady who looked after breakfast and tried to make our stay comfortable.
The staff were gruff, room cold. No hot water. Only two stations on tele. smell in corridor etc
Clean beds. Enjoyable breakfast. Friendly staff.
Smell of stale cigarettes. Ancient decor. Stray electric wires. View of bin area from restaurant. Hot drinks from machine at breakfast.
convenient location for my purpose friendliness of staff
bedside light not working couldn't get BBC1 on TV no lift
location plus car park
very uncomfortable bed ( able to feel the springs) not clean broken shower fire exit not up to standard
Everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent. We will be back.
Shower Breakfast Pleasant staff
Hotel needs updating badly Very dark and dingy in corridors No light in bathroom Plumbing made dreadful noises throughout Mattresses need replacing
The room was very Shabby. Skirting boards rotten in places also window rotten in places. Carpets dirty, wallpaper peeling etc etc
Old tv,dated furniture
Unfortunately, there was a 50th birthday party at the hotel the night we stayed. The music went on until midnight. The whole hotel is a bit tired, quite old fashioned in décor. The breakfast was okay but a little disorganised.
Very nice staff and OK room. We stayed because we needed a hotel near Manchester airport. Rooms are basic but good for a night away. Very good full breakfast included. There was a number of contractors staying there- usually a good sign it is one of the better budget hotels in area!
There was a slow draining shower, didn't bother us and reported in morning which was promised to action.Very positive staff. Also note the hotel has weddings and functions so if low background music bothers you probably worth checking with the hotel before booking.
The staff were very friendly breakfast was good lovely garden. easy access to manchester free car parking
the place was dated...need a refurb. residents bar closed at 11. fog horn for a toilet flush only one key to room..
The linen was spotless. The breakfast quite adequate
The general decoration was very poor. It needs updating, although I understand it has recently changed hands and these things take time
Breakfast. Beds were comfortable. It was clean. Staff were efficient.
Furniture was a bit dated
location was good. so was price.
it needs renovating badly.
room had been given out ... had to be given another top floor - with luggage not told anything about breakfast so didn't go for it ...room smelled of staleness ...dirty wallpaper old fashioned and peeling off wall...nowhere to hang wet towels...bed springs coming through..no internet access...phone cut off important calls as receptionist didn't know how to transfer !!....basically never again
Proximity. Breakfast good.
1. No hot water in room, tap inoperable. 2. Evidence of malfunctioning/out of order communal bathroom facilities. 3. Delapidated lighting/furniture in room 4. House phone not connected 5. Breakfast servery crockery sufficiently hot enough to give you second degree burns. 6. Two new junior members of staff very good and provide excellent service unfortunately abandoned by older more 'experienced' members of staff leaving no bar float and no draft beer as they couldn't find the cellar keys!! 7. Public garden area shows evidence of heavy deforestation with piles of vegitation strewn around the area. Summary: In need of serious investment to upgrade all facilites and public areas.
On excellent bus route, nice big carpark, staff were all very friendly, breakfast very nice,
Room 27 the one we was in very shabby, def needs freshened up but was clean, bed very squeaky as no drawers in base, but clean cotton sheets, and room stuffy during night, as to noisey to leave window open, as on main road.
Staff were very friendly and helped me out a lot with another room after discovering my room wasn't ready. Breakfast was plentifull
My room wasn't ready when I arrived.
Smelled like my grandma's house (in a good way), good shower, nice enough breakfast
Bizarre sheet sandwich on duvet that was meant for a duvet cover, small teacups
Staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast was decent
Very tired looking room in fact the décor of the whole hotel was in need of a bit of loving care
