Where do we start!!! this was a lovely b&b room was spotless with lots of wee extras. Breakfast was lovely loads of choice. Location was great its a short walk from the town centre, pubs and restaurants. Can't wait to return. This was booked as a birthday gift from my husband and we weren't disappointed! Breakfast was great and plentiful. B & B owners were very friendly and helpful. Ideal location for Ayr.

No En-suite, although I did book one. We did have our own shower room, but it was across the landing.

So very homely. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The choice of breakfast was better than most Large hotels. I have used the Daviot before and it will be my first choice on future visits to Ayr,

Silvio is very friendly and attentive. We were welcomed by Shirley who gave us an envelope with a personnel message from Silvio. There are 9 (delicious) variations of cooked breakfast : you fill out the form the night before. Silvio is very helpful and gives a lot of useful advice (restaurants, ...). This cosy B&B is in a quiet street near the beach. The Railway station is nearby (10 minutes walk) and there are frequent trains to Glasgow.

There's only a limited wardrobe and not every room can be fully darkened.

Myself, my Mum and my 6yr old daughter stayed at the Daviot when we went to the Commonwealth Games. The owners were extremely accommodating, allowing us to book an extra night (at a very busy time), and changing our existing booking to make things easier for us. They even put a brand new extra bed into the room we had booked, for my daughter! Nothing was too much trouble, even down to ensuring we had a packed lunch to take on our very early morning trip to Hampden Park for the Games. We stayed in the Garden Room, which was separate to the main part of the house. It was lovely and private, and we even had a key for the gate so we could come and go out of the back way (which was much easier). I very much enjoyed staying at this very friendly, very comfortable and endearing guest-house, it was such a lovely welcoming experience, and I would absolutely stay here again if I was ever in the area. The breakfast was superb!

This being our return visit to Daviot house, we were looking forward to our stay. We knew that it would be a most relaxing and peaceful stay. Rooms are beautiful, spotless clean and extremely comfortable. Owners and all staff are most welcoming and homely. Breakfast is fantastic, freshly made for each guest and also the choice of menu is amazing! Guest house is within walking distance and a few minutes to all parts of the town of Ayr and beach. Not far from Culzean Castle, Burns Country, etc., for driving. A real bonus is the fact that a parking permit is issued to park in the street of the hotel. My husband and I would recommend this Guest House, without reservation. We are looking forward to our next visit some time in the future! We cannot praise this Guest House Highly enough! Cathy
