Trying to find the property. Don't arrive in the dark!
The Daybrook was beautiful inside and was very in keeping with the age of the building. The bathroom was ultra modern and was a surprise.
The only thing that I think could be improved is some lighting could be put down the side of the house, as there was none and made the access to the place difficult in the dark
The house itself is amazing and the room was just as good, plenty of space, facilities very good, breakfast was very nice and the host Jackie was very hospitable and friendly and nothing was to much trouble, and a bonus adequate parking available.
Nothing at all
We had a wonderful stay in a house full of character where the service was second to none. We highly recommend it.
The house was very quirky and had an interesting history and our room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was excellent. Jackie, the owner, made us so very welcome and when we left it was like saying goodbye to a friend!
The shower needed updated but was not a major problem.
Food was very good, the house was very good olde worldy.Well worth another visit.
room clean food good host very pleasant
our room backed on to the main road and the traffic noise was constant except for between 2.00 am and 5.00 am
The choice at breakfast was good as was The Red Lion pub which is within walking distance.
Personally I would say that the whole place is in need of updating.
Lovely Queen Anne house. Delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful hostess.
Rather cramped bathroom. Stairs could be difficult for some people, although we had no problems.
The house oozes class, charm and history - an absolute delight to stay here. Jackie is a wonderful host and is both friendly and helpful. The traditional English breakfast is lovely and is served in an equally lovely period room. Cannot wait to return.
Being too busy with work to enjoy the delights of the house itself.
Jackie made us feel like we were her friends although we had never her before. Her house is amazing with so many lovely things to look at and her attention to detail can not be bettered. Full English breakfast was freshly cooked to order and plentiful. Jackie was also able to suggest places of interest/ to eat
Delightful and very helpful hostess. Very characterful and comfortable accommodation. Excellent breakfast!
The stairs were rather steep and we were on the top floor!
All of it
The owner Jackie was really nice and made you feel at home. The Breakfast was great and set you up for the day. The cottage is really quaint with beamed ceilings.
Parking was tight, but at least they have some unlike a lot of places.
Warm Hospitality from the owner Great Breakfasts Comfy beds
car park is tiny
Absolutely everything! What a find Daybrook House is with first class accommodation that represents exceptional value for money. After a very long day we arrived to a warm and friendly welcome from Jacqui, and shown to a beautiful room in keeping with the age of this lovely old house. The lounge, dining room and the remainder of the house are all furnished to the same high standard. The garden is a delight with areas set aside where you can sit and relax. Breakfast was wonderful with a wide choice available and everything cooked to order. Nothing is too much trouble, all you have to do is ask. Jacqui is a wonderful host and we will most definitely be returning later in the year.
Cosy and quaint building and Jackie was very friendly and helpful.
The house itself is beautiful and well taken cake of. Lovely garden. The place is super easy to find and is close to all the visitors' hot spots. Breakfast is excellent and the owner is very helpful and friendly.
The biggest problem was the shower. It's was just impossible to enjoy it. You have to stand under the freezing water waiting for it to get hot, otherwise the water will go all over the floor. It's also extremely small. There is some liquid soap in the bathroom but nothing else.
Loved the house itself, beautiful period property, and Jacky, the hostess, was very welcoming. The back of the house wasvery olde worlde, as there was an original country lane running past, and her garden was delightful.
The very busy road that run along the front of the house, obviously, the house was built there before the road, but it did spoil the quality of our sleep.
Charming host! Character house Excellent decor Very good breakfast -nice convivial dining arrangement Easy access /good safe parking
Bathroom a little small possibly but then it is a Queen Anne property so that is understandable
Very friendly and polite a superb location and a quaint delightful house.
very warm welcome, comfortable bed and super breakfast, Jackie is a brilliant host, she recommended a lovely indian restaurant, We would recommend this b&b, lovely relaxed atmosphere..
The only thing that was a problem for us was the traffic noise in the evening, going on quite late, and starting again early in the morning. I do think that we were probably more aware of this as we come from a very quiet area, and are not used to traffic noise so close to the property, having said that, it would not put us off staying here again!!!
Building was beautiful. Host - very friendly. She made us smile a lot. Location was good in that it was close to many places we wanted to visit.
Location not so good in that it was on a main road but that was a minor problem.
Our bedroom was delightful and Jackie the owner is more than helpful.
The fact that although a lovely B & B it is on a busy main road which it doesnt state on the website.
The setting, the house breaths history
Since it is an old and authentic building, people with recurring problems with vertigo (BPPV) should be aware of the slight sloping floors in the rooms
