Nothing especially attitude of staff.
The terrible smell
Bed too hard.
Large clean comfy bed. Good blackout curtains. Quiet and Undisturbed night.
Corridors were grubby with small bits of litter. No lift, although desk staff offered to help with my bag. Not a very welcoming atmosphere overall. Hole in the wall in my room not attended to. Uncleared bottles and glasses left on tables in 'lounge' area, did not add to ambiance!
Price is good Location good is using park and ride Room good Great facilities next door
Toilets are in the reception area and cleanliness was poor and urine odour was strong in the reception area on entering the hotel
The Local Pub Restaurant In The Adjacent Village
Noise, Bed, Facilities
Shower area needed attention & bed very uncomfortable
2 members of staff, one charming, the other possible serial killer.
The days inn, was impossible to find, no signs anywhere, not on the exit of the a14 not anywhere. I had to ask the petrol station attendant where it was, as I hadn't visited before. It was about 100ft away. The Bed was the most uncomfortable of any hotel I have ever slept in.
only the female receptionist in the mornings who was friendly and cheerful. The cheap rate.
I asked for an extra blanket, was told that he will check the archive. Never heard anything more so I just folded what I had on top for double layer. I was booked in for 3 nights. As I was a female on my own I asked for a 1st floor room instead of ground floor but was told none available. I did not believe that. Toilet seat was not secure. There was no soap in the shower cubicle. No bath mat provided, notice telling you to ask at reception - should be as standard as bath was very slippery when wet. Contradictory notices saying little extras free, another saying for a small charge.
Being near services and food outlets.
Accommodation was shabby and carpets were threadbare, needs re fubishing to bring it up to a good standard. Mattress on bed disgusting, dirty and soiled, hidden by clean sheets. No extra pillows. wont stay there again.
Good sized room
The cafe food is of a low standard. Noisy at night. Unclean bed clothes
Shower was hot
reception smelt of dirty toilets. Towel rail trouser press didn't work. Was given the wrong room it still had clothes in wardrobe. Decor was poor an uneven cover up of wall paper stuck down with filler holes in walls and splashes of drink? Over lamps and wall
the pungent smell of what seemed to be the drainage system in the room
Sue, very helpful and welcoming on reception. A credit to the company she works for.
When I arrived Sue on Reception could not have been more helpful. After visiting the room I asked Aaron on Reception how to operate the heating as it was very cold. He told me but I asked if it would be possible to borrow a fan heater or suchlike. He said he would get me one. Nothing materialised. Perhaps he was having a bad day!
Cleanliness of bed (Apparently bedding has not been changed. I found woman's hair on the bed) Toilet may not have been properly cleaned (again I found hair on the toilet seat) Wash basin inside the room not within the bathroom/ toilet. Not very practical. Breakfast - Very poor quality compared to similar hotels.
funny smell in corridor
The staff especially will, were excellent. The price and facilities were great and the shower was lovely
Wi Fi was a nightmare and facilities for family parking was poor if not non existent, apart from that 10 out of 10
There weren,t any problems ! I was greeted with a warm welcome on arrival at reception.and staff were very helpful by giving me directions for my onward journey.
A horrible smell of dogs ad there were dogs in rooms opposite dogs should be kept away from those with mo dogs!!!!
Although it was close to a major 24hr trunk road once inside the hotel and especially the room itself nothing could be heard , ensuring a restful comfortable sleep. Also being a services plenty of food variations to choose.
Well placed for Cambridge and Park and ride.Plenty of places to eat locally in pleasant village settings.Good sized rooms kindly staff at reception.Shops /petrol on site.
Needs some updating..shower area poor, bedroom furniture and carpets in corridor need attention
The staff on reception where fantastic, I wanted an early check in and they made sure we were in the room by 11am.
good size quiet room, large powerful shower, polite helpful staff, large car park, dogs allowed very good grass area to walk dogs
Hard, & only double bed in large room, with brick pillows. When we entered the room the net curtains were hanging down to the floor, half off the curtain rail. Its not that you would not notice !!! What is housekeeping doing ? bathroom shower looked as if it had never been cleaned to a reasonable standard in a long time, No wine glasses, no fridge. The good features were lost very quickly by what was wrong with the room. Not a room for a good nights sleep
