-Errr lots of car parking spaces.
-room smelt of sewage whenever we turned the air conditioning on -room was freezing because if we turned the heating on, a horrible smell came through the air vent. So it the lesser of two evils. - The shower was freezing. Then stopped working all together. -lights in the room flickered all night, even though they were off -Tried to get a refund, staff were unhelpful, offering for us to shower in another (used!) room
Room was freezing. The heating was blowing cold air. Finally at 1030pm we managed to get an electric heater.
Nice room, surpiringly quiet and handy food hall next door.
24 hr check inn. It was very clean
Configuration of the room-main sink & mirror separate to shower & loo- good move.
THE GENTLEMAN ON RECEPTION WAS VERY HELPFUL
THE FEELING I GOT FROM THE BUILDING AND THE ROOMS - IT ALL FELT RATHER 'SEEDY' TO ME
Comfy bed Shower good
Asked for soap dispenser over sink refilling and it didn't get done.
handy to get too
cold room damp smell dirty bathroom expensive drinks
Great location. Spacious and comfortable
Corridor on way to room smelt unpleasant.
WIFI free, and quite fast.
Room had a terrible smell. Wake up call was not satisfied. Low water pressure in the shower. Only 1 small glass of Orange Juice allowed at breakfast. No further drinks are included.
Clean comfortable beds - exceptionally well sound-proofed. Fantastic for a mid-journey overnight. Tons of free parking. Friendly staff.
Have to go next door to the service station for a hot breakfast but loads of choice so don't let that put you off.
the location was good for our requirements
I suspect that the description "executive" room is against trade description. I chose one because we are both tall and the bed was a superking. except it wasn't. it was 2 singles pushed together and I could feel the springs, I would've been better off sleeping in my car. a waste of £80
The bed was very comfy
There was a horrible smell in the reception area. The room wasnt warm enough.
There was an awful smell and because of this I presume the windows were left open. We arrived at 9pm on a frosting evening and the room was so cold I had to sleep in my clothes and hat. It was a most unpleasant and smelly stay.
Smell in the corridors and uncomfortable bed. No coffee facilities in the room
The Food Court Next door
Receptionist Rude, Smell of raw sewerage throughout the building, Complained that room was not cleaned properly and cups just left in wash hand basin, totally ignored. bed not made in the 4 days I stayed there sheets just pulled back... Hallway carpets torn and a trip hazard. I've written to the head office and expecting a call on 11th December from area manage... I realize it a Budget hotel but this place disgusting,I've stayed all over the world, DUMP DUMP DUMP!!!!
Food court next door
Sewage smell throughout hotel old mattresses
Easy access from A14, and surprisingly quiet. Excellent staff. Room was clean and comfortable
Toilet could have been cleaner and the corridor to the room had a stale smell but the room did not smell
It was just off the motorway and the shop where just beside the hotel. Good choice of shops.
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, I ask for a cot and wasn't offer any blankets, it was lucky I brought my own. The room was freezing and when you put the heating on you had to leave on because the draft coming through the windows was to much. So then we work up with dry mouth and stuffy noses. Not happy. And for security reason after 12 o'clock the joining door to the hotel and shops should be locked buzz to get in.
tatty shower and lumpy bed
The room was dirty, pubic hair in the bath/shower and all over the bathroom floor. The bedside tables had cup ring marks all over them. Also didn't get the alarm call I requested. When I expressed these concerns to man on reception, he just said "sorry about that".
checked 3 rooms all had filthy showers, threadbare carpet in room, holes in carpet on landing (trip hazard), no mattress protector in 1 room, hairs in drawer, complimentory tray stained, marks on walls, stains on chair. can supply photos if required.
Beds were comfortable, extra pillows were available, and room was in a quiet location ensuring a good night's sleep. Good value for money.
I didn't like to see limescale around the basin taps and also the round overflow hole in the sink needed a proper clean too. Also the carpet in the corridor looks worse for wear, doesn't give a good impression.
Nothing. The whole place needs to be completely refurnished with better showers, new beds and linen. The domestic staff should be sent on cleaning courses.
On arrival, I had to ask for another room as the bed wasn't made up and the loo and sink were used and dirty. The next room was still dirty, but the bed was made up. There was no mattress cover or topper - just a thin, ill-fitting, threadbare sheet covering the mattress! The bed springs were poking through and we had an extremely sleepless night! Paying £65 for an executive room upgrade was daylight robbery! The worst hotel we've ever stayed in!
