“It was a good price and it met the needs of the overnight stay. The Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable, quiet, and adequate. It was on a good bus route into the city but late night it requried a taxi back.”

We are regular travellers and have been for many years. To date we have been very happy with accommodation booked through this web site and booking direct with hotels. Unfortunately our weekend was ruined having to leave and book another hotel for the second evening. We arrived at 9.00 P.M. after a 300 mile journey and the receptionist didn't really speak he just took the cash, spoke to give us the room number and card. Walking to the room we encountered the most discusting strong smell of cooked food (oils) we all heaved. When in the accessible room which was suposed to be a family room the smell lingered and all our clothes which stank. Next morning we left as early as possible the smell still there stronger in the corridor my husband was physically sick. The same receptioist no a word spoken as we left. We could not stay another night when cancelling and stated the reason why we were still charged. I do intend to take this further. The additional costs incured a minimum of £58.00 extra. I would strongly advise not to use this hotel on your web site for yor reputation. I am unsure if we will however consideration will be given to the excellent hotelS booked in the past. I look forward to hearing from you. Debbie Bell

I live locally and spent the night before my wedding at the Sky Plaza, sharing a twin room with a friend. The facilities were very good and staff extremely friendly, welcoming and accomodating. Many of the wedding party stayed on the night of our wedding and were all well looked after. The hotel had a problem with their boiler breaking down prior to our stay, they were prompt in informing all guests and offering alternative arrangements. This is a fairly small hotel and had a lovely warm feel about it, very pleased with our stay and excellent value too.

Checking out, very poor, Dirty used tissue left on floor in room, no hot water, when I asked at reception I got told water was off and here is a complain form, then he shrugged his shoulders, I just walked off and laughed, it was cheap but this was an over charge for the room we stayed in, yet the internet pics make it look like its a grand hotel, very poor,

specifically asked for a cot as I have a 6 month old daughter. arrived after driving an hour further than our planned destination to be told that they didnt have any available. what a joke, how any hotel cant plan for such an event, its not rocket science, the answer from the receptionist was to provide us with a mattress...for a 6 month old and to inform me that it wasnt guaranteed to have a cot...if i had known that I would have never even booked. sky plaza-sky shithole and as for booking.com wont be using you again the car park as I drove out

My daughter and i were most upset with Sky Plaza Hotel, and would have moved rooms but we thought they would have all been the same. The room had not been cleaned, the bathroom had not been cleaned, and we past up having a shower, because the bath didn;t look clean and there was tooth paste splashed on the mirror and the shelf. the beds had clean sheets but the were most uncofortable, and we moved out the next day even though we had booked for three nights. Regards Marie

They did not receive the message re gluten free breakfast I sent you. I used the bread I took for lunch so had to buy lunch. Had to get milk as only two on tray. Had to get coffee as only sugar on tray. Television did not work. The bathroom had a bath with shower from taps. As I am disabled I could not use it. Room on first night was by front door so kept being woken by lights, doors slamming, shouting, etc. Desk clerk on second night took me to room but I had to carry my heavy bags even though disabled. I was told on first night they had a disabled room which he denied. He said I was wrong in saying just a walk in shower was classed as a disabled room. I had to ask for my change as he got up to show me the room without giving it to me. Cereals at breakfast out of box so could not see ingredients for my allergy. Only apples and sour tangerines supplied at breakfast as the fruit. Never again. Receptionist excellent on first night but did not like having to keep going back for items not in room which is why I did not say about television. First night booked £23.95 booked second night at that rate but by time it completed it had risen £6. Felt tricked. Not happy. First night nightmare. Second night better room but had to tell receptionist several times to stop keeping on. In the end I just told him to be quiet or I would be very cross. He was young and went rushing off turning back as I was so slow but he never offered to help or even slow down.

We stayed in room 19. There is a generator running constantly through the night. As we were only staying for one night, could tolerate it but for longer, would have requested a room change.

Hotel has seen better days. Breakfast was poor - v stale croissants. Cleanliness could be better - broken glass on bathroom floor and dirty towel hanging on bathroom door.

This was the only place left with a room over the rugby weekend- and they charged 5x the usual amount for the room. Breakfast was stale croissants, fruit and cheap Tesco brand yoghurt. Would have been fine if charged at usual rate, but extortionate at the one we were charged. Stay at somewhere so unethical at your peril.

Staff were generally warm and friendly and it was a good price for what we needed, including the basic breakfast. I think the bed was a spring loaded one, although we found it difficult to sleep not being used to it - there was a lot of twanging going on! Shame about the general tardiness of the room - wallpaper coming off, unfinished bits around the door frame, dirty walls and the carpet didn't look very clean - oh and the bloodstain underneath the bottom bed cover wasn't very nice! All very basic but I guess that's for the price you pay so if you're not fussy then it's good value!
