The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming with a good explanation of the facilities on offer...we had a wonderful nights sleep.
Easy to find and as expected for a motorway service hotel
Choice of food at 8pm from services Poor internet speed, not good for more than simple emails
Clean, staff efficient, quiet and comfortable
Wi-fi didn't work in the room.
The room was spacious and the sheets/linen clean. What water you could get out of the taps was hot.
The general decor was tired and faded. The shower didn't work and the bed was uncomfortable. No 'phone in the room and reception locked after hours. Walls paper thin which didn't allow much sleep!
I booked a family room , but didn't take children , but the room was spacious & would have been big enough had my boys travelled with me . My room was clean & each member of staff I encountered was friendly & helpful . Staff opened trade barrier to allow access to local area without the aggravation of a detour on the M1 .
The sat nav directed me to the trade entrance . The only way to gain access was via M1 which meant a detour from my last location . The walls were a bit thin , spent the morning listening to other peoples alarms going off .
quiet position away from motorway noise. clean room comfortable bed tea and coffee facilities Costa near by clean bathroom nice friendly reception staff very welcoming oh and the bottle of water and Cadbury's flake nice touch
no valences on the beds would have covered up the holes in divan base and also looked nicer
The site was convenient, parking was easy and the hotel was exactly what we expected. Beds were comfortable.
Black mould on bedroom windowsill
Great hotel comfortable clean cheap nothing to grumble about
Really enjoyed staying here, we only had 3 nights here but it was all set up lovely for us on arrival and was very cosy for what we needed, lady on reception was nice and friendly and made us feel welcome, room was clean, would definately stay here again when visiting friends in the area, so thank you!
spot on for purpose
didn't find fault
Everything. Staff was most helpful, very clean, good location, excellent cost and comfort
Size of rooms. Price.!!!!! Unbeatable!!!!
Having to ring bell/phone to open barrier of car park. Barrier coded. Code should be given at check in.
Huge room/family adjoining rooms. great shower.
heater smelt wrong! turned it off.
£40 pound for a massive family room. Kids beds thru an archway which was a great touch. Great site for exploring Matlock and gullivers kingdom!
This hotel is very good value for a one night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms were not very sound proof at all, so I could hear people coughing / laughing, TVs in the rooms on either side.
the staff were very helpful and friendly
Sat nav took us to a remote back street, beds were not made up for all of us, we had to make 2 up ourselves. Place was very run down and not very clean. We got our money back for one night. We didn't have much room, the double rooms are used as family rooms, ours was set up as a double, we didn't have enough bedding, towels, cups etc. Not a very good experience. Manager the next day could not be more helpful but it had already ruined our day.
The family room had a nice comfortable bed with loads of room and the 2 children's beds were in a separate room accessed via an arched doorway. So much space was very welcome.
Shower didn't work correctly but was sorted as soon as staff informed. Shower gel in the room was empty but we had some of our own anyway. Children's beds and one chair need glueing together as are loose but not dangerous.
Or room was quiet and comfortable.
Servicing of room was cursory.
Comfortable Good staff
The location was excellent
Dated room, very poor water pressure in sink and shower, uncomfortable bed.
Comfy enough hotel, friendly staff, got room for £40 which seemed fair
£10 charge for having a dog, stated that this was a cleaning charge but we all know they don't clean the rooms any differently !! Going by some of the marks on the couch, I suspect they should've cleaned up better after some human visitors had been !
Generally very good
Got to the hotel made the booking through booking.com. The lady on reception (Louise?) checked our booking saw we had two small children and put us into a different room that was easier for us to get too with a pushchair and our luggage. She then got us clean towels and sheets as the weather was very hot (around 30oc) very humid and she fully installed our travel cot supplied by yourselves and told us she was on her shift until 11pm and if we needed anything at all then not to hesitate in contacting her at the reception desk. I would employee a hundred of her she was very polite, helpful and simply fantastic.x.
Location. Was looking for a hotel close to Matlock. And this seemed miles away. We seemed to be driving forever till we reached the hotels destination after leaving Matlock and heading for the hotel. Which isn't good in the heat with two very hot and screaming kids who just wanted a cool bath and bed they were very hot and tired. ( 1 aged 10months and the other aged 4 years) But Louise the receptionist was fantastic on our arrival and soon got us all sorted out.
