The place was clean and the staff were very helpful. Right next to services so there was lots of choice of food and coffee.
The bed was so hard....I asked if they could put a duvet under the bottom sheet because I was just not sleeing, they did and it was a little better. No drawers- not one!.... we were staying for 12 days so had to live out of our suitcases!! Very hard to find if you are a visitor to the area.
Location and price
Smelly room and noisy as next to reception
the staff were very helpful and the continental breakfast brought to my room was nice
I was in room 2 which was next to the reception and the banging of the door was irritating and in the morning woke me early when someone was leaving
Location Adjacent motorway service facilities Lack of care re smoking room Choking smell in the room
Perfect location to break a long journey.
Limited meal options..
The price is fantastic The beds are comfortable Its within 10 minutes driving distance from the NEC The staff are lovely and helpful Rooms are cleaned daily Very modern Safe car park for an overnight stay Not far from Birmingham city centre Overall fantastic hotel for a short stay for a great price! Have used two years in a row when visiting Birmingham for the Horse of the year show, will continue to use in future!
Nothing to complaint about :-)
The complete package was a nice surprise. More facilities than many hotels. The finish of the room was to a high standard. There was even a full length mirror for my wife, a hair dryer, an iron and board as well as kettle and choice of drinks. Generous shelves in the bedroom and bathroom. Plus room service continental breakfast ( at additional charge). Easy parking with a fuel station to hand.
It was no great deal, but if one was travelling in the Coventry direction, it was necessary to drive a short distance to the next junction to turn around. This only took a few minutes. Just be aware it is the first junction and as it is an underpass roundabout there isn't a bridge to spot over the road. Alternatively it is possible to park on the opposite side to the Days Inn and walk across the footbridge.
The room was clean and comfortable and 24 check in was useful.
We were given a smoker room despite booking a non smoking room. Breakfast was poor with slow service
The rooms were nice and clean
Window was broke and could not shut it so could here all the lorrys out side
That the staff were perfectly happy about extending my stay for a couple more unplanned nights.
Felt welcome Generous room well fitted Good continental breakfast
Personally I don't need disabled facilities. Small hand basin & no plug. Shaving a bit more awkward than usual!
on the other side of the motorway it clearly stated hotel sign posts, it indicated that dayinn was there however i had to go to the next junction and go on the other side of the motorway to get there. Clear sign post for the hotel would be better. Also more sound proofing in the windows as my window was right next to where long distance hauliers were parked and they were starting their engine very earlier in the morning.
Awful smell in the room which we could not get rid of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very helpful Receptionist Large clean room Good shower Quiet Loads of parking directly outside hotel Waitrose and other shops on site Good aircon + a window for fresh air
I parked at the hotel and hence had to travel six miles up and six mile back down the motorway to get to Ricoh Arena which took half an hour. Not as stated on Booking.com. Needs to made clear and give details if you can park on the other side of the services
Very cheap and nice bathroom
Receptionist very miserable and unhelpful. I booked a triple room which was smoking! Didn't know any hotel allowed smoking anymore!!! The room absolutely stank! Told receptionist who said they were fully booked and couldn't do anything about it ! This was not mentioned when I booked! Not happy.
Walk in shower Comfy Bed
Having to ask for enough towels (had a triple room and only 2 towels We then found there were only 2 mugs but felt we could not ask again
The woman was TOOO rude ! And came to chase us out despite charging us extra to stay for an hour
Good sized rooms, clean and comfortable. Close to amenities. Space to work in rooms.
When I was checking out, the receptionist told me about a 'cut through road' to get across the carriageway without driving about 8 miles in the wrong direction. This information would have been mega-useful when I checked in 2 days before and had been going 8 miles in the wrong direction to turn back on myself! Thanks for that Days Inn!
clean no noise from motorway fastfood restaurants on the site good price free parking
We were 3 in a room but we only got towels, entra pillows and mugs (complementary set) for 2
Simple check in, Friendly staff, comfy room, good shower.
Cups were never cleaned, just put back on the tray.
Receptionist Katy was very helpful & took away bedding and restored the sofa bed so that I had room to move in the room
Free wifi / shower room
Broken window which couldn't be shut / could feel springs in matteress which lead to a bad sleep
Easy access. Staff at reception extremely polite and helpful.
Bed a little too firm
Its convenient being on the motorway as we were travelling to and from all weekend. The room was lovely and the staff were friendly. The beds were comfy.
The person in the next room was having a party by the sounds of it which ended at 2am and started again at 9am. Not thrilled at listening to dance music all night when i was trying to get my kid to sleep but that wasn't the hotels fault. Did ask for the room to be cleaned (needed fresh towels) but when we came back it was as we left it with wet towels and no way to dry them :(
so many I would not bother saying as I booked 2 days but had to check out
update service and standard to meet 3 star as claimed
