Convenient place to stop on our long journey up to the Highlands. The rates were reasonable. There only seemed to be one member of staff who had to man reception in between getting rooms ready but she was very pleasant.
Room was very basic and bed was uncomfortable. Whole place could do with an upgrade. The cafe next door was poor. More like a greasy spoon than a restaurant.
Nothing to like. Staff did well despite the lack of standards
An island in the motorway with poor facilities not value for money. Facilities very poor beds were a joke
Convenient location on the way to Glasgow. Our room was pleasant and quiet.
Breakfast at the next-door Roadchef was very disappointing - no fresh bread, no orange juice and watery filter coffee only (£2.90 the cup).
Convenient location, good open spaces to walk dogs. Hotel entrance close to car park so not far to carry cases etc.
Toilet rolls not replaced when necessary - we had to ask for new rolls. On booking, I requested a ground floor room but on check-in a 1st floor room had been allocated. However the staff re-allocated us to a ground floor room without any trouble.
helpful staff and clean rooms
Good basic motel accommodation - no frills but clean and sound.
Food arrangements: no service at Road Chef after 9.30 pm - some people may well arrive late and need a meal - and breakfast wasn't particularly good value - the voucher may have been "worth " £10 but teh breakfast wasn't. Noise was a bit of a problem - not surprising.
fact 1 requested disabled facilities didn't get that, bin in bathroom was used , room had not been cleaned, no toilet roll, dressing table was dirty, tabletop fan full of fluff so fire hazard, And the fact it had a bath means it is not accessable so never recommend it for sure
The location, easy to find, friendly staff
The noise of lorries at night
Was in a good location with local ammenesties just 15mins walk away. Good location to approach Glasgow and Edinburgh cities.
Most of it
Bed was comfortable.
Some way to go to match a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn for the same price.
I thought the manager of the property was very accommodating, and felt that she truly enjoyed her work. The price was also reasonable considering that the Commonwealth Games had every property booked up for miles. The wifi was appreciated and unexpected.
It's an older facility that was bare bones. The room could use a major update.
Facility very basic - past it's best.
I'ts a Motorway Hotel- Says it all!!!
Room was clean and staff were very nice .
There was nothing near by for the kids to do so they got bored and only one place to eat which was very expensive .
location bed was comfortable
poor reception poor restaurant facilities room not totally clean
Cost and location
No food available after 8pm.
Tea and coffee in room good shower
The pillows were not comfy werent enough plus the bed sofa was stained and looked disgusting. And I wasn't happy putting my daughter on the bed. Double bed wasn't comfy
Good for sleep and have shower.
Old furniture. in europe for that price could get better.
Location very suitable for requirements and good areas for dog walking.
the lady on reception gave a lovely reception to my arrival despite being obviously very stressed. I walked in to overhear a conversation of how her delivery had not arrived so she was short on towels toiletries and to my horror no coffee. Luckily she managed to find me some coffee in the end. but she still maintained a warm friendly manner with me which was a credit to her.
the adjoining road chef had chicken nuggets, ham and chips or egg and chips as my evening meal options the rest of the menu was not available. I didn't bother attempting to visit for breakfast in the morning. the hairdryer in my room had a missing pin from the plug, the reception was closed in the morning so there wasn't even any staff I could ask about it.so I had to take the plug off the kettle and fix the hairdryer myself so I could use it in the morning.
Easy access to Motorway and other destinations. Nice staff. Nice and clean and quite.
The staff was shocking, left us waiting in our rooms over 45mins to come and make our side sofa beds. We ended up coming and getting our own quilts. Also when we arrived they never had our room booked as a family room!! Only a double this is the second time this has occurred and it's not on! The staff told us to complain as they wasn't happy either we had experienced this
good basic accommodation for the price rooms clean and comfortable
very near motorway and traffic noise you have to leave building in morning to go to road chef for breakfast next door
courtesy of Staff & convenience.
this property is in need of refurbishment
