- Very helpful, friendly staff, - Comfortable bed, - Beautiful view from lake side room,
- Postcode leads to opposite side of lake.....read the email the reception send you!
Location. Receptionist on night shift when we arrived about 930pm was very helpful.
Room was basic but reflective of the price
The view in the morning from the bedroom was stunning. Most places would charge extra for it. They should state that the £7.50 breakfast voucher is worth £10 at Costa next door ie Good value as 2 can eat for that.
Nothing. Well impressed for £30 it was amazing value.
The view from our room was breathtaking. The price was cheap, the staff were friendly and helpful and everywhere was clean.
The location was poor. Had to drive for any socialising.
Reception lady Bed Room heating and lighting
Impossible to find on minor roads from Kendal. I knew at what stage to ignore Sat Nav and turn right early to go down west side of lake but you try doing that in the dark. Via M6 Jn 37 or 36 would have been a big detour. Luckily I had eaten before leaving Kendal. ONLY a Costa Coffee and a Macdonalds is not acceptable. I will NEVER return
useful location, friendly and efficient welcome, spacious room.
Room furniture and fittings all looked and felt very tired and in need of investment.
Only stayed for one night but could have easily stayed longer. Good price, comfy and good size room. Stayed in room 3 had a great view.
The friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help two very tired elderly guests Beautiful view across the Lake Delightful stay and would recommend this Lodge to any traveller.
Ideal location off motorway
Location great for us travelling down from Edinburgh to Midlands its a good overnight stop & its pet friendly which is important to us. Staff always very nice.
We have stayed at Killington many times over the last 13 years and some areas like the bathrooms and the sofabeds upholstery could do with upgrading. Usually the beds are fine but this time we found the one we had a little uncomfortable.
We liked that the hotel were accommodating and pet friendly. The reception staff were pleasant and couldn't be more helpful
The advertisement said the hotel was pet friendly but there was no pet policy to be found so we didn't know until we arrived that there was a £10 for having our pet stay with us.
Friendly welcome. Good parking. Comfy bed. Nice TV. Good heater.
Bit tired decor, but for £50 a night totally acceptable.
Very handy for M6, especially when you know about the "private" road for those heading north, which saves about 15 miles! Discount vouchers for breakfast in Costa Coffee are a good deal. £7.50 buys £10 worth of food etc. Staff were very helpful.
Having to go next door for food, especially as Costa closed quite early each evening.
Very helpful staff, clean, facilities in services open 24 hours (WH Smith & McDonalds) so handy for late night munchies ;-)
Bit tatty here and there - laminate peeling on bedside cabinet, hole in bed sheet, but not a major problem.
Far better than expected for a Motorway motel, Excellent location, helpful staff.
No kerbcut at entrance.
Only problem was having to travel south before going north.
Staff were good compensation was free breakfast voucher.
We didn't have hot water un the morning.
Comfortable bed, nice sheets, pillows. Helpful friendly reception.
Soap dispenser above bath. Yuk!
view from room
Close to the motorway.
We received an email on our way to the hotel telling us that there was no longer a restaurant and the wi-fi was not working. The restaurant had clearly been closed for ages so why were we not told before. My guess is this hotel won't be open much longer!
Comfortable and easy.
Lack of restaurant facilities on premises and poor eating facilities in adjacent motorway service station.
a peacefull location.Friendly staff.And as always a kettle.(most important).
A noisy fan in toilet.Woke the wife up every time (automatic setting comes on too quick).Pull out bed or sofa by window looked very grubby not a good advertisement(may give a wrong impression?).
Conveniently situated, nice view of lake from room, quiet, clean
No eating facilities on-site, satnav took us along single track road on wrong side of lake (did not get hotel's warning about this until we got home!)
The location overlooking a small lake. Handy to travel to the North and South Lakes.
No restaurant / breakfast, although this was available next door.
No wi fi- it was down. Take away menu given by reception was misleading. Only delivered if you spend over £30 but this is not the hotels fault. Just annoyance as I had put my order in and they said over £10 first than moved it up once manager got on the call.
