Holiday Inn Express Stevenage is a modern hotel in the town centre offering comfortable accommodation.
Score from 484 reviews Very good
Set in 19 acres of beautiful tranquil parkland, yet only one minutes’ walk from Hitchin town square, this attractive hotel was originally a Carmelite monastery built in 1317.
Score from 480 reviews Good
This lovely country inn is located just off the A505 between Baldock and Royston; near junction 10 of the M11, it has great access to the region’s major road network.

Terribly uncomfortable bed!!!!
Found the hotel very easily, very quiet, ladies on reception very helpful, young lady who was in housekeeping couldn't have been more pleasant. Location lovely and handy for what we wanted.
After our experience it was difficult to find anything to like.
- Unable to sleep in room allocated. A problem with the plant room next door - loud hummings and vibrations. - The security guard verified this at midnight. It took an hour but we were moved to another room. -Finally went to bed at 1.30am - disrupting our stay completely. - The manager on reception the next morning - Emma Critchlow - was rude and defensive and made no attempt to apologise for the huge disruption to our stay. She insinuated that we and the security guard had been lying about the noise problems. She offered no concession. Finally agreed to 50% discount but she was extremely unpleasant and lacking in customer service skills. We were told the money would be back in the account within 20 minutes - it still isn't with us 4 days later. - We are taking the matter further and complaining to head office. - Unfortunately we won't be using this hotel chain again. Very unhappy customers.
Very friendly staff
Bed was so uncomfortable that me & my husband both had a bad back & neck for 2 days after , very thing walls could here everything from other rooms
Big room, clean, brightl, good location just off the A1 and at the services
A bit dated, bed not comfy - 2 singles fastened together so it wasn't very comfy when laid on the join. Bed was also hard
A good location at the Services stop over , just off the A1m Close to Stevenage and with walk way to Service area, Staff noticably friendly and helpful.
Nothing at all .
Clean, comfortable and at conveniently services. Free parking
Corridor was a bit noisy at night
Friendly staff,value for money.
dirty, basic, worst hotel i've ever stayed in
Coming back to stay again in the same hotel and the staff remembering you.
On one night I heard dogs barking at 10-30 and about 11.15 p.m. They were different types of dogs judging by their bark and sounded as though they came from separate rooms nearby. I reported it to the Receptionist who said he would keep his eye on the situation. This is the only time in several years that I have known that they let guests keep dogs in their rooms and I do not think that this is acceptable. There are some places that welcome pets.
staff were helpful and supportive and the amenities on site give you a great and varied choice.
Light airy room and very much like the hand basin and mirror in the bedroom so separate from the shower and toilet. The hotel was generally quiet - no loud voices and footsteps on the corridor or above us.
Not strictly DaysInn but the full English breakfast at ?Sirossos was poor.
The staff were amazing and our cats were made to feel welcome too. The reception staff go above and beyond for you and we even had a few of our show cats down to see them...Rooms are very comfortable and very clean and I know folk have said it's dated....we liked everything about this place. First stay at a Days Inn but certainly will not be the last....well done to your staff as we had a fab 2 nights away!
A well designed and very comfortable room in every respect. We were made to feel really welcome on arrival. The tea and kettle were particularly welcome after our late arrival.
A caster was missing from the end of one of the beds giving them a slight height difference.
Close to main motorway links.
Twin mattresses joined together weren't very even.
Location was great services facilities very good
Bed wasn't great Could have done with a bigger duvet.
Blonde lady on the desk was lovely! Very chatty and made us feel very welcome after a long dreadful journey through London. Will definitely be returning.
Really isnt anything to say. We had a smoking room which was lovely and fresh smelling. Only downfall was the corridor really smelt vile, but its to be expected as ita the smoking section.
Every thing was great
Very good stay
It would be nice to have had bath to wallow in after long journey

Loved the shower Staff were very helpful For a budget motel the standards were high. Good to be able to go and eat at a variety of basic eateries without having to go out in the rain.
the location is great, the receptionist was lovely. the room I finally got was very good
my room wasn't ready, when I was told it was ok to go in, the bed was still unmade and not changed from the previous tenant which was quite alarming. The cleaners attitude was very rude and not helpful. I went down to reception and asked for another room which I got.
Pet friendly, good location, good facilities.
Just the right location for us
Location for breakfast in the motorway service area is a bit bleak, especially as the doors were stuck open on the first day.
