Good communal area, good bar.
Very noisy rooms in front of hotel due to traffic noise from Hackney main road. Traffic pretty much continual, peaking in early morning, and late afternoon.
good price for the position
wifi oblige insctription to facebook
car was towed whilst i was checking out and collecting our luggage from the hotel parking bay there was no signage and no advise given from the reception
a quiet room - though they didn't officially have one, they found the next best The staff - all lovely and helpful the location - brilliant for where Ineeded to be
Food choice was ok but could have been more varied
Situation and reasonable price
Reception staff - busy, not particularly friendly but appeared overworked, not consistent or helpful in recalling previous interaction and lacked that extra professional touch
clenliness, food good, staff helpful and freindly. on the whole a nice hotel.
drinks at the bar too expensive, coffee &toast £6 too expensive. television needs changing to a channel without football.
Poor reception staff Poor /cheap bedroom furniture ...no way 5 star quality Noise ...lots of it mainly traffic induced Cheap all round . I wouldn't stay twice but mainly because it was noisy , not even a half decent 4 star and surly reception team. If you are a visitor to london then you will find better elsewhere .
The gym facilities were clean, well maintained and the staff were flexible enough to allow training before the official opening times. Staff were generally friendly and cheerful.
The Wifi was extremely poor with slow connections which intermittently dropped out.
Design Location Bathroom Noisy street - even with window closed
Location on Hackney Road had good bus and rail service to central London and major arts attractions- easy walking distance to family on London Fields, good coffee, bars and restaurants as well as walking places like Regents Canal and Victoria Park Gardens.
Traffic on Hackney Road was noisy with the window open which was needed for fresh air. We did request a quiet room but did not enquire as to whether our request had been met.
Room comfort being able to contrôlée room temp safe parking helpful staff and the use of a room fridge
Staff didn't know if I was within the congestion charge zone or not
Rooms nice, comfortable, complimentary water in fridge.
When my daughter entered her hotel room after checking in was clear someone already using that room as their belongings were in it! Sorted out and she was given another room .
Nice standard and modern style.
Air conditioning didn't work right until we reported the fault.
Good location to have fun out east
Paying extra for parking
The staff made very little effort to be helpful. We returned on the second day of our stay at 3.30 and the room had not been serviced which is very poor. The duty manager said it was standard for turnaround to be as late at 4pm. Not at £270 a night it shouldn't be. Everything seemed an effort for the reception desk and the cost was ridiculous for what is a basic budget feel hotel in zone 2 and a long walk from the tube. Their booking system also attempted to take a payment twice from my card.
The room was very well furnished, very comfortable and very clean. It was good to have a bar and restaurant available. The hotel is conveniently situated.
Checking in took some time, and we were not very well received. We didn't appreciate having to resist being charged for parking when we didn't have a car.
Value of money fair in the sence that, though I booked late, so not if they have family lounge room, because it was so high paying per rooms that could take the entire family. Every other thing is ok.
Their Staff interests in making thrir guest comfortable
They did make me fresh eggs and an expresso and had gluten free bread readily available. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and helpful.
The reception is clearly under staffed and follow the managers lead by being unhelpful they lack hugely in customer service skills and not at all what you would expect in a hotel -I was hoping it was just in check in but the lady when I checked out was very rude and abrupt even scowling when I asked for a VAT receipt! The breakfast was a sad unimaginative state of affairs a basic buffet the same if not worse than a premier inn they don't even have a coffee machine just a sad pot of self service coffee. I stay in UK hotels 300 days of the year so I have a lot to compare it with.
Gym is top class - would return just for this.
I made the booking through booking.com for two rooms and the person at the front desk had told me that payment had not been taken in advance. So that I could split the charge between myself and my work colleague and pay for our own rooms. I explained this 3 times to two different staff and still I got charged for both rooms. I also have since rang up and explained the situation and was told I would get a call back - Still waiting!
Hackney road is located near Broadway market and Columbia market and has good connections by bus and metro to central London. The Hotel is not that expensive for London standards. The rooms and the bed are good, with free water, tea, coffee, chocolate and cookies.and good wi-fi
The worse thing about the Hotel is the attendence. In the reception they are rude, arrogants, difficult to understand and unpleasent
Food & bar staff very good
Quality of TV picture in room very poor
Close to the shops in shoreditch.Close to were our daughter lives.
The noise of the traffic, needed a bit more double glazing. No choice of pillows. No real WiFi.
Room was nicely appointed. Quiet and Had a mini refrigerator, hairdryer, wifi . . Bed was comfortable and I was pleased with the flat pillows.
Front desk staff. Requested a wake up call on my last day. It didn't. Ordered a cab and was told it would be 40 pounds to Heathrow. It wasn't. Neighborhood surrounding the hotel didn't offer much in terms of restaurants or shopping and Bethal Green Tube stop was a good 15 minute walk. Didn't feel safe to walk from tube to hotel alone at night.
Bath instead of shower, didnt like the fact have to pay exra£50. Upfront. Breakfast should have been free,
