it was the 1st time in the centre of birmingham and the location was excellent and the staff more than helpful.
Location for centre of Birmingham especially The Mailbox was excellent. Room very clean, comfy and facilities adequate for our overnight stay. Staff helpful and pleasant. Breakfast good value.
Very difficult to find. Unaware that parking was at the main Mailbox Car Park.
the bar area and back door entrance was really run down
Everything was really nice. Room was a nice size and very clean. It was a luxury to be able to smoke in our room, as this is one of the few hotels that still offer smoking rooms. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Will certainly use this hotel again.
Location, plenty of nearby restaurants, staff, not bad rooms.
Parking is a bit of a hassle, rooms need renovating yet that's scheduled.
Helpful friendly staff
Finding the car park!
Location, friendly staff, good facilities
Room tatty, quite noisy could hear room next door and noise from road outside
Room was a bit scruffy, 2 holes in the wall were filled in, someone had scratched the mirror in the bathroom (deep cuts up and down the mirror) the sink leaked from the down pipe when emptied. Very hot in the rooms and corridors, could do with air con.
Location was excellent. Staff brilliant. Special thanks to the manager David who couldn't do enough for us made us feel very very welcome. Will deffo go back
The location of the ramada in the mailbox is brilliant, room was nice...would definitely stay again.
Excellent stay at a hotel we have not used before, very pleased, have already booked another stay, quite often attend events at the nia , which was reason for this trip
Clean and comfortable, well priced
Simple room with no frills ( can't really complain at this price)
Great location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast!
Lots of places to eat nearby. Nice area. Most things within walking distance.
Could not open window at night for noise in street. Hard to find!
Room was ok and reception staff were great on arrival.
Finding hotel by road really difficult as has no road access. Park in Mailbox car park and walk. Didn't get breakfast (due to start at 6.30) by 7.30 when had to leave. Waiter claimed now a la carte but never got round to taking order. Not good.
Kettle & iron did not work well but it was replaced in good time.
- big space
- small noise at night - need more channel on tele.
Location rooms and staff
The rooms on the back street which is noisy and no view
Excellent value for money room. Very good breakfast. All in all a nice located hotel close to lots of nightlife.
Only a small quibble: Reception staff were very friendly but didnt relay correct information at times & disputed my claim that the door card key didn't work properly as also backed up by my friend.
Location Built in Starbucks Decent room size
Poor staff Mixed up our room then made us move after unpacking and ironing clothes!!!!
We arrived too early to check in so left our bags and names at reception and said we would return later (after a wedding). When we came to check in we were told there were no rooms left, even though we had paid. They eventually found us a room which stank of smoke, by which point we were too tired to care. Won't be going back!
It was my wedding anniversary and I had arranged flowers, chocolates and champagne to be delivered to the hotel and placed in my room (the hotel did not offer this facility).....I Arrived 15 minutes early (1.45 pm)....I Was not asked my name or asked for a booking reference, I was just told I was to early and had to wait...There are ways to handle this situation....my name should have been asked and a simple I am sorry but the room is not quite ready would have been fine but no.....I Returned at 2.20 pm and my room was still not ready and the flowers etc were behind the desk and hadn't even been taken to the room....I Was simply told I was going to have to wait a bit longer......I Expected at least an apology even if it was insincere
Wi fi in rooms would be welcome
