The hotel is in a great location if you want to be in easy reach of quality restaurants and bars. It is approximately a 15 min walk away from the nia and canal area. The hotel is of modern decor and our room was clean with LCD TV and modern furnishings, the only thing lacking was a bath, but the shower cubicle was spacious and the overall cleanliness was excellent. We didn't have any food from the hotel so cannot comment on that but we did enjoy a Starbucks before we left as the chain have a shop right in the entrance of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was ready for check in at 10am and not 2pm as stated which was a bonus and they were very happy to look after our bags for the day after we had checked out of our room. Overall I would reccommend this hotel and will definately stay here again!

It was our 1st anniversary and I had requested a room with a view of the canal which was where we got engaged. The hotel did provide us with the ideal room with a great view of the whole canal area, this was fantastic and made our stay very memorable. Thanks Ramada !

The location and the very friendly staff, it is rare that a large chain of hotels have staff that are so helpfull and frindly. The only compalints that I have, would be the bed, it must have had an old mattress, because it was so soft, and it was uncomfortable. Also the maid did not make the bed properly. Lack of toiletries.

Warm atmosphere. Excellent position in front of the canal, in the heart of the city's night life and not far from the center. The breakfast should be included in the price.

Location - lots of food choices nearby and a 10 minute walk along the canal to Brindley Place. Starbucks by reception. No aircon. Starbucks opened late and closed early. No wifi in rooms.

The location was excellent and we had a room overlooking the canal which was lovely. The hotel was handy to where we wanted to be ie the nia to see Alan Carr I thought that breakfast could have been included in the price. Having paid £80 already for the room I felt that £26 extra for breakfast for the 2 of us absolutely extortionate and we went to a local pub and paid £9 for the same thing! What a rip off for the hotel to charge such prices.

Perfect location.the fact could walk to nia arena good night life and shopping area mailbox h Otel itself service poor due to short staff. Waited at bar 15 mins even though someone had alerted somebody comfort cooling bad description as was a fan complained of the state of ours as was filthy covered in dust and who knows what! Couldn't use as she suffers from asthma asked to have it changed never was but the only person who attended us was the receptionist who checked us in,eventually came to serve me at the bar, came to assist opening the window fully, checked us out. None of it her fault, she was lovely felt sory for her, was like fawlty towers! Plus two fire alarams in the night that went off twice so had to check to evacuate or not! I would have assumed to always evacuate bute response was oh no its gone of but its okay from the night staff not too reassuring. Didn't complain at the time was in a rush but will be more clear on descriptions when booking again anywhere and standards

Close to the shops if that is what you desire Very noisy & hot. Also quite rundown & claustrophobic once you enter the hotel upstairs, I would expect better for the price.

The hotel room was reasonably well furnished and the location is good as it is very close to the centre. The price was ok given the location. The room got a bit hot overnight plus a couple of fire alarms went off and there was a problem with the boiler so no hot water in the morning, I'm assuming the latter issues are one off events and not to be expected normally. The staff only acknowledged the problem with the boiler when I pointed it out however.

Location The shower has mould growing in it, the room was boiling hot and the air conditioning could not be adjusted and just wasn't working and the windows don't really open enough to allow this to cool the room down. There were 2 fire alarms one at 4.15am and another at 4.30am (which were false alawms but went on for at least 5-7 mins so woke everyone up!)

The location is fantastic - right in the middle of the Mailbox so perfect for dinner and shopping. The room carpet wasn't cleaned properly. As a Wyndham rewards member I'm used to the Ramada hotels, but this was sub-standard. The Wyndham rewards members are given a snack and drink on arrival, which arrived at my door 2 hours after I checked in, the chocolate had gone off (clearly had a white coating over the milk chocolate bar and the 330ml bottle of water was chilled but already opened and only 2/3rds full. The bathroom was okay, but didn't smell very clean too. Wyndham benefits at other Ramada hotels are usually free upgrade on room, free movies / internet and free breakfast...I was not a happy visitor.

The location is excellent. The hotel entrance is so hard to find, we walked round the entire building, the advertisement for the coffee shop within the hotel has clearer signage. I was really disapointed to be given a smoking room as I had asked at the time of booking for a non smoking room. I didn't complain at the time as I doubted myself & had not got that part of the confirmation email with me, I checked when I got home & it does indeed state non smoking room! As this was part of a birthday present for my partner feel let down.

Marvellous location. Central but very quiet. As many reviewers have said - it's a very minimal front entrance - to the extent that I missed it!

Very good location, easy to walk around Birmingham from here. Staff at reception not that helpful, did not know where we could go for spa use, massage and relaxing. Had to do our own research. Did not know the direction of the spa in city centre accurately. Room were spacious but poor quality bed and even worse pillows, too flat using two together was even more uncomfortable

The reception staff were very helpful. The hotel was tatty, overpriced, the towels were not clean and we had to ask for replacements. The foyer was pleasant enough but as soon as we got out of the lift on our floor, the wallpaper was peeling off and it smelt stale. The bed was too soft and the room too hot. We had to pay £18 to park in the Mailbox car park, and the hotel do not even reimburse part of this. Overall, value for money was appalling - we payed £89 for the room, which was worth £39 tops
