The bed is below average.
The room is too hot at night
I liked the spaciousness and cleanliness of my room and had the fact that I wasn't kept awake by outside noise. It was altogether a very pleasant stay.
I would have liked to have wifi in my room.
it was a nice hotel and the location was perfect for me and my girlfriend due to eating at a restaurant in the mailbox, we only stayed here on the night but if your not from Birmingham its pretty much centre of location for anywhere in Birmingham, close to new street and close to the bullring
The location was exactly what we wanted
The hotel was out dated and wud never stay there again
Location excellent, very convenient
Hotel overall appeared dated and shabby, from the hallways to the bedrooms. Expected better given its location. Carpets well worn and wallpaper sad. The room size and facilities were good but our room faced the road which was extremely noisy not just with revellers but the wind was a real problem and this was a particularly warm evening in October. Did not stop for breakfast as this was distinctly overpriced . Only one large towel in a double room?
Big room great location Good price
Mattress was a little soft. My wife didn't sleep great, although I found it ok.
Location v good Good shower Staff helpful
Had to ask for additional pillows, no hairdryer in room , the whole place needs decorating lots of stains on carpets through the place! Really lets the Ramada chain down.
I didnt stay their if was a gift for my brother in laws 70th. He and my sister went to Caro Emerald. They loved the hotel and my sister was particualry impressed with the staff who bought her a hot chocolate after they had arrived back after the show. They loved the breakfast and there was plenty of good hot food. They would definitely stay there again
Getting their bill mixed up with another couple with the same name
Location Excellent and convenient position for NIA, shopping and eating. Room well prepared
A bit noisey at night with clobbers and delivery lorries Would have expected free wifi in the room
Location was brilliant & picture looked good
Room wasn't up to the usual standard of the ramada chain I've been to previously Has put me off visiting again Carpet filthy so were towels kettle did not work. Fire alarm went off but no one checked if everyone got out if rooms. Friend visiting from Scotland & first visit so was not impressed
Location is ideal. Staff friendly.
Standard double bed which is a bit stingy these days. Parking anywhere in Birmingham is expensive.
Brilliant location Friendly staff Starbucks on site
Terrible old lumpy pillow & when a replacement / extra pillow was requested was told the hotel didn't have any spare pillows???? Awoken early by really noisy plumbing in our bathroom whilst our neighbour used their shower.
very easy check in.. Friendly staff.. Room Perfect.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant disposal .
breakfast was none too special bacon was hard to chew Lorries unloading , should shut off their engines when outside .
I asked for extra pillows because my partner had a broken arm so had to sleep sat up. I was told by reception the hotel was fully books so there wasn't any spare pillows. Fortunately the receptionist packed a pillow case with clean towels as an alternative.
The communal carpets needs to be replaced. They are in a poor state. TV remote was dirty.
Location, staff Great breakfast
Bit difficult to find - sign is not prominent, but if you look for starbucks then you'll find it.
Excellent location in the Mailbox, close to all the bars ect. Hotel needs a bit of updating but it was clean and staff were very good. We parked in the Mailbox for a reduced rate as we stayed in the hotel, just hand the token into reception. Would stay again. Didnt eat so I cant comment on that.
Rooms could do with painting and carpets were tatty.
Great location by the canal. We found the staff extremely helpful, and our room clean and comfortable. A fully equiped filter coffee machine was a nice touch, and an iron and ironing board useful. Best part? The beds! Comfiest, most cosy ever!
Not the easiest place to find
expensive car parking
decor very outdated, room smells funny, lifts were on their way out
Perfect position for our group of friends meeting on the canal and easily getting from New St station. Lovely restaurants snd bars very close by and shopping at the Mailbox next door.
Tired in need of major renovation. Not living up to the Ramada brand image. Sellotape on carpet. Thin walls.
