Staff was uniformly polite and helpful. Halls stank of cigarettes. The rooms were fairly clean, but, for example, the curtains had cig burns. And, the room i stayed in did not have a telephone and it was cold.

Location was fantastic and hotel having its own carpark was an advantage. Room was large, clean and comfortable. No soap. Forgot to bring my own :( the morning staff, was absolutely rude. I asked for a late check out, she banged my door down and accused me of lying. Absolutely shocking.

The rooms were large and old fashioned. I was suprised that we could get free wifi in the room. it stunk of cigarettes in the corridors to our room which was discusting! Plus we could see signs on all the doors saying no smoking!? our room was right next to a busy road so was very very loud.

Its close proximity to the hospital I had to attend. Maintenance was poor. Broken headboard light. Tv with remote that didn't work. Shaving light in toilet was defective. Wouldn't turn on. There was no bar to obtain drinks, in fact there were no other facilities available at all, which meant having to go out to find a drink and a snack.

The room was big and warm (once we closed the window and turned up the radiator) and the bathroom facilities were good (except for the cracked washbasin). Nice big carpark. The walls must be paper thin as the children in the room nextdoor kept us awake most of the night. The hotel seems to be under construction and there were no facilities available in the evening - we had to order food from a takeaway. The breakfast dining area was freezing cold.

Not a lot. Very basic facilities, no soap or toiletries. Acceptable towels. Plenty of parking. I had to go out for food- based on the room etc i daren't risk eating there. Locatyed in a very poor area, not at all salubrious, unsure of walking about outside.

It was adjacent to the railway station and then only 5 minutes journey into town. The bed sheets were clean and crisp. The walls were paper thin. Unfortunately the couple in the next room chatted until 1 am then again from 3 am so I had minimal sleep which was not good as I was attending a course in Birmingham so needed to be fresh the next day. The bedroom carpet was really old and stained- didn't feel I wanted to walk on it in bare feet. The room smelled of nicotine. The heating didn't work so I was quite chilly.

We had a water leak in the shower area - the manager was there immediately and offered us an alternate room. The even numbered rooms look over a very busy road - odd numbers look over the car park (much less noisy).
