Located on the promenade opposite Clacton-on-Sea’s historic pier, this comfy seafront hotel is within easy reach of the train station, and has good links to Colchester and the Essex countryside.

A well-equipped base for your stay on the Essex coast, Comfort Hotel Clacton-On-Sea features 50 en suite bedrooms, as well as a restaurant where bar snacks and light lunches are available daily.

Conference facilities include state-of-the-art equipment and boardroom facilities for gatherings of 12 to 250 people. The hotel holds a licence to hold civil weddings (20 to 200 guests). Please note that the hotel has no lift.

We enjoyed the continental breakfast plenty of variety and as much as
you wanted bar area clean and comfortable nice to sit and have a quiet
drink staff really helpful liked the presentation of the gentlemen at
the reception we would go again thankyou

Heating had broken so after some fuss we got a plug in heater, some guests complained they had no hot water too. Luckily we didnt have that problem.

Guy was very welcoming on our arrival - he even upgraded us, either because we had booked in advance, and they had spare rooms still, or he felt sorry for us because of the crap weather.

Nothing - except the room above rm106 was noisy - i dont know what they were doing, seemed like they were just walking all the time above in lead boots - i should have complained but didnt.

Spacious comfortable room

Very noisy due to poor sound insulation between rooms (We could hear people talking until 01:30 in the morning.

Comfortable rooms, nicely decorated with all the expected facilities. Our room had a balcony which presented nice views of the seafront and gardens. The hotel is in easy walking reach of the beach, pier and restaurants.
