Comfort Hotel Clacton-On-Sea  

Comfort Hotel was beautiful! The staff were polite and welcoming. The restaurant was amazing. We had a lovely time there, our room was clean and tidy> The bed was so comfortable. We would recommend Comfort Hotel to anyone and we will definitely be coming back!!

Rooms were clean and tidy.

When we booked we emailed to ask for 2pm check in as we were going to a funeral at 3.Got confirmation by email then arrived at 2.05 and they said check in is at 3pm. Rooms were not ready so we had to wait 5-10 mins for them to finish them. Had a generator or something continually going all night outside bedroom window area. All but one member of staff didnt have any uniform difficult to tell who was staff? Not made to feel welcome at all, would not recommend this hotel to anyone. At breakfast no one told you the arangements. Of the two toasters only half each side works so you had to wait for toast, just aswell it was not busy.

The position of the hotel was excellent as it was right on the sea-front and yet only two minutes walk from all the shops and bars/restaurants. The deputy manager on reception was extremely pleasant and helpful, which is a rarity nowadays.

Great location. Excellent room overlooking the sea and with a huge balcony. Very friendly staff.

Unfortunately the floorboards outside and above the room creaked but was not too bad.

We liked the reception area it is very up to date in appearance .We liked the idea of 24 hour reception staff too.Our room was basic but very comfortable (we had a disabled room).The breakfast was substantial but a lot of choice was offered . All in all very good value for money and we would definitely recommend this hotel . The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the two young men on reception duty,nothing was too much trouble to them which was very much appreciated.We stayed there on 21st April until 22nd April 2012.We will definitely be staying there again.Keep up the good work.

It was comfortible and close to the town and beach..

My stay was short and comfortable. But there was quite abit of damage in the room. Bathroom door damaged. Lights on the bwthroom cabinet not working. Wire to the tv hanging loose and not in ducting. No fire instruction in the room. Holes in wall below the tv, it seems some thing was missing

We were coming to Clacton for wedding. We had travelled from Nothampton and arrived a little too early for booking in time (3.00pm) but explained to reception and they made sure our room was ready early so we could get changed for our wedding. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

The location is great ...the bed comfortable

This hotel is let down by poor management the restaurant is quite nice but the food is awful. At breakfast there was no bread for toast and no marmalade and the cooked breakfast was swimming in grease and cold. The shower was hanging off the wall no coat hangers in the wardrobe this was supposedly a superior double room sea view but very little comfort

I wasn't booked in as they had no record of our booking from you but they did have a spare room in which they gave us allthough it was a smoking room and we did book a no smoking room.Also the breakfast was not a full continental as advertised and the full English was cold,this should be served at temperature of no less than 63. Degrees,and it was no warmer the second day we stayed.
