On arrival at 6pm told room was not ready, which in itself was ok, but then called in room literally at check out time and told to vacate by staff member who was rude with a bad attitude. Breakfast was very poor with little choice and what was available poor quality. Will not stay there again.
The room was clean and good facilities. bed was reasonable comfortable, modern shower and in good working order, the rooms seemed well insulated from noise so was reasonably quiet. The bar facility was opened when I arrived back from my regimental function although personally I didn't use it others did. The reception staff was pleasant while booking out. I was satisfied with the hotel and I would have no hesitation in using it again if the need arose,
The male staff who greeted me at reception could have been a bit more pleasant, however he was efficient even thought the booking agent had put the wrong details. Like most of your hotels it was a fair way from the town and certainly not in reasonable walking distance.
As my wife is disabled. The room had everything she needed.
The free wifi didn't exist. The shower seat sloped forwards. When we left our wheelchairs front wheel fell in the long drain in front of the disabled parking area, and threw her out of the chair.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful .
Booked a double room with a sofa bed and did not get that because booking.com didn't pass request on to Holiday Inn
I was put in a room for a disabled person. I asked the chap at breakfast if you had gluten free bread and he started talking about the bread already out which I know is not gluten free. Usually staff go into the kitchen to check but he just said he didn't think so without checking.
Apple / Orange juice at breakfast tasted watered down and no bacon
The breakfast was ok, but a hot option that is limited to just 3 items (Scambled egg, Sausages and baked beans) seems far too limited to be honest. Whilst those are ok options as it happened for us, i feel more imagination with such as Bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms would add value. But this didnt spoil our stay!
Breakfast was very good. Room was veru clean.
Was a little noisy from the road outside. The lift was a bit scary.
room was cold and heater on the wall didnt work bed was too hard noise from hallway and next door
Soon as i arrived after 3pm was told we had to wait for the room which was more than 30mins, then was given a room with twin beds when i stated we needed double bed
Breakfast, was poor sausage egg & beans is not a variety. Coffee making facilities in the room were poor.
staff were so friendly and welcoming :-)
could have been more choice with breakfast..
The level of customer service received by a young man from start to finish was fantastic. Shower was leaking, was immediately moved to a bigger room. Very comfortable. Bar was lovely. Overall a cosy place to stay and so close to home, nice to get away.
Everything except recommended curry it was a joke surgest change curry house
We ordered a curry it took 3 hours to arrive and was rubbish and cost £20!
Staff were very good. Location was good for my needs.
Dining options around the hotel are very limited unless you like poor quality junk food, in which case its ideal! Also hotel is a little tired- needs a spruce up.
The room was lovely.
The heating was on all night couldnt breath got a dry cough and cold from it.
The hotel is modern, and the staff were attentive and friendly.
The staff recommended and ordered us a takeaway. When the food came my kebab had hair inside it. e complained and the hotel said we would not be charged for the takeaway. On checking out we settled the bill and left. The day after when I checked my bank, the hotel had in fact taken an additional payment for the food they said they were not going to charge us for! I am furious that after saying one thing, they did charge us after all - but a few days later! Not happy with the way this hotel operates or treats customers!
Subway was very close. Room space & good sized mirrors.
Check out too early. Breakfast times rubbish. Tv volume very low. No plugs near the beds. Small fridge needed in room. Maids noisy outside room!
We were at the hotel in order to visit family at Exhall. The room was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable, the staff very friendly and the whole thing a good experience.
The only possible thing to say that I didn't quite like was the quality of the breakfast. We felt that the scrambled egg was a bit dry instead of being creamy (that's how we like it)and there was no bacon.
Bed was a bit hard
Rooms very comfortable, staff very helpful,
Breakfast was mostly cold and also waiting along time to replenish the hot food,
Good comfy bed, quiet room.
I have requested on my booking for a room with electricity plug by the bedside as I have sleep apnoea and have to sleep with a CPAP machine on me all night otherwise I can die on my sleep. They haven't provided me a room with electricity plug by the bedside, luckily the cable for my cpap machine was long enough to reach the plug the other side of the room, however it forced us to have a health and safety situation in the room as anyone going to the toilet during the night could've tripped on the cable and fell down or even turn off the machine and killing me suffocated. The bathroom only have half a shower panel so anyone having a shower means the floor gets soaked wet, and this can be another health and safety issue. We have thrown a towel on the floor to soak the water but it was so much it got soaked wet. Very easy to slip if you are not careful. Also, no vegan options on the breakfast, only fruits (orange and apple). They can provide soy milk upon request.
We had a warm welcome from Tade who served us efficiently on arrival at reception. Room was clean and bed comfortable.
Everything was spot on! The Manager arranged a family room without question when our daughter suddenly decided to come along. Excellent!
