Score from 145 reviews Very good
On the A619, just off junction 30 of the M1 motorway, the hotel makes a great base from which to visit the Peak District, Sheffield and Nottinghamshire, with free parking and comfortable en suite...
Score from 385 reviews Very good
Instant hot water from the shower & liked the size & quality of the towels Plenty of plug sockets and room was nice and warm
.............. Nothing of note to write home about
the bed was particularly comfortable. the shower was good.
the rounded bottom of the bath made standing and showering uncomfortable. the tv sound was poor.
The staff were friendly
Very reasonably priced, easy to find, plenty of parking and 24 hour reception.
The hotel only serves a basic continental breakfast so we planned to eat at the services. Unfortunately we discovered the hotel is at the services exit so you can't drive over to the services, as soon as you leave the hotel car park, your back on the motorway.
We paid for a full breakfast but when we went across to the restaurant we found 2 coach loads of people waiting to be served. Although the restaurant knew in advance there was no extra staff allocated so we had to buy sandwiches & coffees costing us £14,95 as we could not wait even though we had allowed more than enough time to get served. We expect you to pay us for this extra expense K Barnes Skipton
convenient for where I wanted to go
bed a bit sagged in the middle
Price is the clincher! Good location close to services. Basic & clean Hot shower Fairly quiet - although close to motorway
Poorly sign posted in the dark Ageing decor Poor bed Bath tub was really ropey!
Clean, tidy & good value for money.
Was a little further away from the city centre than advertised.
Location, price, availability of a family room
Having to walk across the car park to have breakfast
Nice and beautyful Michelle and also Jemmy always kind and a good adviser.
Would recommend highly iun every way. Booked at last minute for a one night stay whilst compteting in a competition in Sheffield. Will book there again next time we are up there as a group. Very impressed.
There wasn't anything not to like!
Room had everything we needed for a two night stay, tv, coffee making facilities, bath with shower, main bed was comfy but sofa bed was lumpy (no good for adults but ok for lightweight young children), even though very close to motorway we weren't kept awake at night by traffic noise, it was surprisingly quiet. Room and bathroom clean and tidy
water in bathroom was extremely hot so children needed supervising, and bathroom floor tiles too slippery, even when dry
Location and Staff
Basic amenities, but sufficient for one night. Rather expensive though.
Comfortable friendly hotel but you have to walk across to the services for breakfast or anywhere to have a meeting.
Not so good when it's raining, breakfast is a long wet walk.
The value for money is terrific. The en suite facilities are good and clean. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. we have stayed many times here, and will again! Very good budget hotel.
Not much! We had a bit of a problem with wi-fi signal. Also, milk for tea and coffee runs out very quickly. Leave more in rooms. Double Bed a bit small if you have a larger partner! Bit noisy from M1, but manageable. Not too keen on the breakfast.
Everything was as it should be. Very pleased.
Not enough signs on the road to direct you to the hotel.
My daughter had to move from her bedroom as the window was wide open and had no handle to close it. She did want some more bedding and the receptionist said there wasnt any spare! The receptionist when we booked was not very welcoming either.
Comfortable, although near motorway and facilities reasonably quiet. Not too complkcated to access from north bound side, despite road works.
we only had to stay one night
The whole place stank of smoke. The family rooms were upstairs with no lifts. The bathroom door didn't shut. The bed was hard and the sofa bed was rock hard with a huge gap in it. The hotel was a long walk on a broken up pavement across the lorry parking and garage forecourt to get any food.
Pet Friendly - Gave us a ground floor room to make it easier to walk the dogs Good Value Friendly Staff
brill loved it staying again soon
nothing not to like
Handy for the venue of our party
Very soft mattress
Booked an executive room, which was a good size, but the rest of the room fell below expectations. Desk with chair was useful. Switched desk fan on but it sounded like it was gonna self destruct. Was good to have a fridge to keep the wine cool. Flat screen tv was ok but could have been bigger because it looked a bit lost in the corner of the room.
The speed of the wifi was really bad. Speed checked it several times and every time it was below 0.5 mbps. The room was too hot but there was no air conditioning. The bed was smaller than expected for an exec room, was expecting a king or super king size. Shower head was knackered with water squirting out the side of it. The toilet seat had been fitted crooked so when you sat on the loo you were jammed up against the toilet roll holder. The website said exec room came with a welcome gift and free mineral water. This turned out to one Nutrigrain bar and one small bottle of water between two people. How mean!!
nice friendly helpful staff
