we only had to stay one night
The whole place stank of smoke. The family rooms were upstairs with no lifts. The bathroom door didn't shut. The bed was hard and the sofa bed was rock hard with a huge gap in it. The hotel was a long walk on a broken up pavement across the lorry parking and garage forecourt to get any food.
Pet Friendly - Gave us a ground floor room to make it easier to walk the dogs Good Value Friendly Staff
brill loved it staying again soon
nothing not to like
Handy for the venue of our party
Very soft mattress
Booked an executive room, which was a good size, but the rest of the room fell below expectations. Desk with chair was useful. Switched desk fan on but it sounded like it was gonna self destruct. Was good to have a fridge to keep the wine cool. Flat screen tv was ok but could have been bigger because it looked a bit lost in the corner of the room.
The speed of the wifi was really bad. Speed checked it several times and every time it was below 0.5 mbps. The room was too hot but there was no air conditioning. The bed was smaller than expected for an exec room, was expecting a king or super king size. Shower head was knackered with water squirting out the side of it. The toilet seat had been fitted crooked so when you sat on the loo you were jammed up against the toilet roll holder. The website said exec room came with a welcome gift and free mineral water. This turned out to one Nutrigrain bar and one small bottle of water between two people. How mean!!
nice friendly helpful staff
distance from Sheffield centre
Receptionist was good when we arrived
Room stank we were put in a smoking room as no others available but it stank of stale smoke and was dirty. There was a dog in the room upstairs which was banging around all night then howling at early hours of the morning. Nothing was done about it by staff. TV has bad reception and was tiny and the internet barely worked really disappointed
Located not directly on the services but facing roaming fields. Excellent wifi tv freeview facilities clean big towels good soap shower gels clean friendly staff easy free parking.
Wasn't made clear the hot breakfast was not on site (only continental) although the orice and value for the hot breakfast was very good. Apart from that it was good stop-over hotel would use Days Inn again value but good quality
Very clean room, good sized bathroom with bath, friendly and helpful staff
Slightly hard to find
The room was spacious, clean everything you needed for an overnight stay
Breakfast not included with price
Good location , value for money for a good night sleep .
Smell of recent fire in hotel but thankfully we were furthest away from the recent fire and could not smell it in our room
Mattress was a tired made you roll towards each other
Nicely decorated room with comfortable furniture. Extra pillows and towels available. Wide choice of TV and radio stations. Fan available in the room during the heatwave! Tea + coffee with biscuits in the room. Liquid soaps available in bathroom. Hair dryer in the room. Continental breakfast delivered to the door.
Wifi connectivity too slow to connect. Room quite dark so needed to put the lights on during the daytime.
Staff excellent, friendly and informative, both with myself and my rottweiler dog, nothing was too much hassle. Very clean, even in smoking room! Excellent value.
Rooms could do with a bit of a freshen up, stained bed Base, and wear and tear quite obvious in places.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming x
I was travelling north, did not realise it was on South side of motorway, it was book by a third party however it would have been good to be able to park north side and cross the services bridge, I had to travel further and come back and then travel south to go both the next day. With reference to the bed it was really well used and uncomfortable the the bath enamel was missing in bits it was not inviting to have a shower in.
Convenient Not to much noise from traffic
Everything we needed for a quick stayover, near to Sheffield and our daughter + husband's home.
My wife found the bed a little too bounce ... she could not sleep easily. This was an individual observation
Convenient location just off M1 south, easy to access, comfortable bed, quiet room. Excellent and honest staff. Had forgotten my wallet and ID badge - reception called within 15 minutes of my check out to remind me about this. Plenty of parking spaces
Wifi did not connect, pillow was too soft. Breakfast quite expensive.
internet connection could have been a little bit better
The room was light and spacious and very quiet
Found it a little difficult to get on wifi and with having no phone in room had to use mobile to ring reception to save walking down to ask
Convenience to M1
Bed and settee uncomfortable
Reception staff were very cheerful and rooms were a reasonable size
Access to the hotel when using it as a base to tour locally, you have to travel miles north to get onto southbound motorway entrance
