Days Inn Hotel Sheffield South  

Perfect for a overnight stay to break up a long journey. Room was very clean & comfortable & the staff very friendly.

Staff were superb!!

Unfortunately only smoking rooms were available. We do not smoke but really needed a place to stay. We are shocked that smoking still takes place in the hotel. We would have thought the hotel would try and contain the smell. The use of fe breeze or oust should be part of the daily clean to keep rooms tip top.

The very pleasant and helpful way the staff looked after us it was absolutely exceptional and made us feel very comfortable. Also the staff who cleaned the rooms went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Also the breakfast was delicious and really fresh.

We could smell wet dogs in our room but after leaving the windows open for a day we didn't find it as strong

Warm & clean and the free WiFi is always a bonus compared to many other locations I stay at.

Staff were v helpful and dog could stay too - fab !

Location on motorway made access difficult from back roads.

Good sized room with tea/coffee making facilities and TV. Clean and nice bathroom with hot shower. Excellent for the price.

Everything was excellent, nothing to dislike.

I was coming from the South on the M1, It would have been very helpful if I was told how to get off the North-bound carriageway to get to the hotel. Visitors who do not understand that there is NO connection for vehicles from the Northbound M1 would be puzzled?

Exceptional staff, nothing is ever too much trouble

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Good convenient location with plenty of parking right outside. Free wireless internet. Basic but comfortable and perfectly adequate room with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and board, etc. Booked on line was very good value for money.

Electric heater was difficult to regulate for an even comfortable temperature - tended to get too hot. Cooked breakfast available in service area which was a bit of a walk and some travellers would find inconvenient.

Very friendly staff and convenient for early morning drive back to London. Bed and pillows were comfortable,

Did not feel safe crossing petrol station and roads to get to service area in dark. The way through was unclear in the dark and I turned back. Base of bath was chipped and windows were 'selotaped' to keep out drafts but this meant you could not open and room was very warm.

Going north from the hotel entailed negotiaiting a very potholed service road.

An excellent overnight stay for my daughters university visit. Excellent value, staff friendly and professional. Room very clean nice tv, excellent wifi connection. Despite being near M1 I did not hear traffic. Ability to leave car parked outside and feel secure. Shower powerful, couldn't ask for more.

Fair place to stay at a fare price

Walk to motorway services for cooked breakfast. I got away with it as the rain held off going to breakfast.

The walk to the services area for breakfast was difficult as I am partially disabled & if I wanted to use car I had to drive out from hotel, down motorway & turn to return to car park, no access to main car park at service area from hotel..very poor in that respect.

Receptionist on arrival was excellent. Very friendly, efficient and helpful.

The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help, and the room was clean and pleasant.

While the duvets were lovely, the mattresses could be a bit more comfortable, and fluffier pillows would be nice.

It provided appropriate location

The lack of clear signage when on site both from the north bound service area and the South bound. Not a good start when tired at the end of the day in the dark trying to find the building

Friendly staff - warm welcome. Ample car parking.

Bed small and too soft. Noise from M1 was really loud even with windows shut.

We were late for checkout and the lady at reception was trying to make an issue out of it; with children a but of delay can happen , and if the staff are unfriendly, one may not wish to stay there again

The cost of the taxi from the Clumber Park event - how about putting on a shuttle service for a price? The lack of transport links if you weren't driving.
