Problem as soon as we arrived as we had booked for seven guests and only six were catered for. Not a problem for the duty manager who rectified this without a hint of negativity. professional, reassuring and extremely efficient. Thank you. Not a thing.

Have stayed many times at the hotel as we live in Somerset but have family in West Yorkshire. The current team are the most efficient and friendly that we have encountered since the hotel opened. From the reception staff to the lady looking after the breakfast food at 7-30 on a cold Sunday morning, everyone was helpful and friendly which made our stay enjoyable. Well done and thanks to everyone at 'Days' Mike & Kay Wood No Black Pudding for breakfast, big let done when staying in Yorkshire.

I have used this hotel several times before but I was disappointed this time as there were no towels in the room and a pillow short when we arrived. There was also no face cloth or soap in the room.

The breakfast was nice if rather too self-serve - a little help from staff even in just pointing out where everything is, would have been nice. They were being kept busy by the rest of the clientele however, none of whom were under 65 - there wasn't a prune left in that bowl.. Having to pay for the breakfast separately (over £7), given the price of the room (£49). Similarly, having none of the usual little comforts in the bathroom; instead there's a sign that tells you that you can ask for such bits and pieces if you have forgotten them! It claims this is an eco-aware stance, but overall you get the impression of penny-pinching.

The hotel was clean and staff very friendly. We just feel they let themselves down by not paying attention to the little things that make a difference - for example the shower gel container was empty - only 2 sachets of sugar provided - its the little things that make a difference

It was in a good position, close to the motorway but still in a quiet place with lots of parking We have stayed at Days Inn before and have found them more than a little bit above travellodge etc. but this days inn was a dissapointment, it was shabby and in need of a serious refurbishment. The caulking in the bathroom was discoloured and the grouting was brown (rather than white). The bedding and towels were frayed (one towel seriously). There was a dubious dark stain on our carpet (some sticky horrible substance). In short we found the cleanliness of the hotel including the lift and corridors below par

We had to travel to Wakefield for a sudden death of a nephew and this hotel was ideally situated and also provided food. The service was a little slow in the restaurant and also at times on the reception, having said that we have recommended our in laws to stay there next Friday as it will be the nephews funeral.

The place was clean and modern. Warm and well laid out. I travel a lot in my business, I tend to rely on hotel rooms to provide consumables such as shampoo as standard, I was disappointed that they were not in the room and I was expected to ask at reception, unfortunately, having asked at reception found that they had run out of basic items, I don't mind roughing it occasionally but I don't enjoy using hand wash to shower. according to my booking "With a laptop safe, mineral water, a snack, and either: a pass to a local fitness centre, 1 hour of free Wi-Fi or 1 free pay-per-view movie." I was unimpressed that there was neither a mineral water or snack available I asked at reception and was met with a gruff response and informed that the website was out of date and these services/items where "no longer part of the deal" Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years was perturbed by the unhelpful staff and the low standards of dress observed as one of the team was in jeans and very casual shirt, my experience suggests that this "bloke" may have been the duty manager. I felt so strongly at the time that I was forced to have to take photographs. I feel that there has been a breach of some legal points inline with The Trading Standards act, failing to provide services, goods or items advertised on your website and then confirmed in a confirmation email is false advertising. I would expect this message to be forwarded to the customer care team, the matters to be addressed and a someone to contact me as I am so unhappy with my stay that I will be writing to your head office. Yours Sincerely Mr R Muir
