Days Hotel Wakefield M1 Jct 40    

This hotel was excellent value for money, well located and rooms were comfortable and very clean.

I was attending a funeral in Dewsbury with a wake at Wakefield so this was the ideal location. Tea making facilities.

The cleanliness of the room. Stains on carpet and marks on the bedside table. The tiles in the shower area were covered in black mould.

Staff were a credit to the hotel, very friendly and no drama eventhough we were a little boistrous at times.

Most of the breaskfast buffet was good, with the bacon and hash browns tasty and cooked exactly to my taste.

The breakfas buffet was good value with two notabl exceptions, the sausage and orangejuice on offer. The orange juice was heavily diluted, akin to weak orange squash, whereas the sausages were totally bland and tasteless.

The breakfast was not as good as it aught to be for the price. The consistancy of the breakfast was bad first waiting for bacon to be cooked then the scrambled eggs were on the black side of watery. We went to Morrisons 2 mins drive away and had full English for less than £4

Decor was nice, room (305) was comfortable, bed was huge.

Breakfast and evening meal a bit chaotic, two items on the menu called a New Yorker - one a beefburger, one a chicken dish - why? They brought the wrong one of course, completely stupid to have two meals called the same thing!

Comfortable beds, clean room, decor up to date, good sized bath, friendly helpful staff.

I was put in a disabled room, and the bathroom was freezing. When I looked, there was no form of heating in there. I did mention this to the staff before I left - I don't know if it was an oversight or perhaps there's supposed to be underfloor heating and it was broken? It was miserable in the bathroom though - so cold! Also, there was a door between my room and the next, and it wasn't really sufficient to cut out noise. So I did find it a noisy stay. I haven't had either of these problems when I've stayed in the past in an upstairs room. Neither are major issues, but worth mentioning?

The location is good for me, close to friends & also Wakefield & Leeds. If you get a deal then it's good value.

Staff attitude, advised that there were no towels in the room when we checked in. I went down to receiption to request a bath towel & was told that they would get me one. I'm still waiting, mentioned it again on check-out no appology. The corner of the room where the tv was, was filthy with black smoke like marks. It has definately gone down hill since my last visit which is why I'm unable to recomend it to others.

The location was ideal for my needs, also the parking was plentiful and in full view. Staff were excellent, very helpfull with friendly attitude.

As I have found in most of the hotels that I have stayed in recently the soap dispenders in the bathrooms are NBG - they do not dispense soap!!!!!!!!!!!

Convenience to motorway. The room was modern, fresh and reasonably well equipped. The price.

Unfortunately our toilet would not flush so very inconvenient using reception toilet in morning and it had supposedly been fixed the previous day. The bed was very basic compared to premier inn.

Usually book in here if we have a get together with my hubby's work colleagues. Always clean and exceptional value for money. Haven't used any of the facilities or eaten there, so can't comment on the food.

Was ignored for 5 minutes when checking in Was told when I came down to breakfast at 9:25 that I was 'lucky' to get breakfast as they had just started clearing up. Breakfast ended at 9:30.
