The spa was really lovely- far larger than in any other hotel I've stayed in, and you could use it after you had checked out as well. Dinner in the hotel's Indian restaurant Saffrons was excellent as well. Our room was pretty basic (907), and had no luxury 'extras' I would've expected from a 4 star hotel (so bring slippers/ flip flops for walking to the spa). Hospitality tray in room was just basic tea and coffee, no herbal teas/ water etc. We recently stayed in a Premier Inn, and I can honestly say that the room there was plusher and better equipped than Hotel de France (although I believe that the older 'balcony rooms' here are really nice, we were in a modern extension). Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special- frozen berries, pre-cooked English breakfast, plain white sliced bread (although fancy breads and pastries were mentioned, they were never out when we breakfasted). For a family holiday/ quick business trip it's fine, but don't expect too much from the rooms/ breakfast and make sure you visit the spa

Excellent breakfasts with really freshly cooked food. You need to read the information in the hotel room. If you bring your own drink to your room you can be charged a corkage fee.

We like the wonderful pool and the gym. The rooms are a good size and pleasant. The breakfast is very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is expensive, particularly the price of meals. We ate out most of the time.

Restaurant food and waiters. Vally especially good. Gym facilities Reception staff-arrogant in one particular case and unhelpful in others. This does not include Gemma who was excellent. On no less than 3 occasions my early morning taxis were late and once did not even show up. As a hotel of some size in the local community you should bring pressure to bear or change your suppliers. Bedroom appaling and bed not big enough for a 9 year old let alone a slim adult.

Large welcoming reception area with efficient polite staff. Spacious room with good decor and storage space. Lovely hot water with good over bath shower and separate wc. Fabulous spa and pool and good sized undercover car parking. Although we did not use the hotel shuttle, it would be useful for those who would find the steep up-hill location difficult. Restaurants and bars available within the hotel were a little expensive to use every day although the Aroma cafe had more of a budget menu. Excellent selection of food for breakfast. 15 minute walk to the centre of St Hellier with some good reasonably priced pubs and restaurants. Overall a super place to stay.

Gourmet cuisine, spa and bar for pre-dinner drinks. Friendly and efficient staff. Good location. Room 728 - view from window dominated by glass roof of conference centre was just a little disappointing. Water for bath or shower not really hot.

The service was excellent - all the staff were friendly and professional. The location was perfect for our first visit to the island as it was outside the noise of the centre and yet within a ten minute walk to the shops, restaurants etc. Our accompanying 'young adults' loved the pool, sauna etc - a wonderful facility particularly if the weather is bad. Parking facilities are excellent. We shall return. My daughter and her husband had to change their room as the first one was very dark and overlooked the wall/roof of the garage but were immediately offered one on floor 8 (below ours on 9) which had a good view over St. Helier. The rooms on level 6 presumably have a very restricted view. Would have liked some herbal teabags in the room although the restaurant supplied them with a smile when asked.

I came with my daughter for a treat, the spa was lovely and we had a fantastic meal in the evening. The view was amazing from the ninth floor and the rooms immaculate. The hotel in general is kept very well and you feel special the minute yu walk into it. We were hoping to come into the hotel earlier in the day but my son was admitted to hospital and things were a bit hectic. I spoke to the receptionaist who said we could use the spa facilities the next day which was very kind, as it happened we were unable to do so. We also had a bite to eat in the afternoon at the Cafe, the food was lovely and to be recommended. I hope to stay agin in the not too distant future. My only complaint was that we went to our room at midnight both very tired because of events the previous day but were kept awake by music from the function downstairs for a while, in saying this it was a special event and it was only for about an hour.

It was only a very brief stay with no time to sample the hotel facilities but the hotel complex itself was very welcoming and very well furnished and the rooms (although small) were very clean and had all the facilities you'd expect. Would definitely recommend it

The building is beautiful and well kept. The pool was the best i've ever been in! The staff were pleasant, welcoming and polite. Breakfast was very nice, as was my meal in the Aroma cafe. I was in a single room which was adequate in size, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The bedroom needed better lighting.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming, the hotel was clean and the public areas were well decorated and in good order. The amenities were first class with a modern well kitted out gym and spa, the food was good in all of the restaurants. I though the room we had was a little tired in its decoration and furniture, a double room with only one chair ( except for the dressing table chair) a second chair or sofa required, no mini bar or fridge. The fact that “corkage was to be charged on any drinks brought in to the hotel is in this day and age archaic and reminiscent of a Blackpool b&B. Although not there to stay in the room and watch television the unit (tv) provided was too small. The parking was minimal and the spaces small even for the small hire cars used on the island. No priority was in place for residents and as a result no spaces were available on my return from a trip around the island due to a function in the hotel

On booking we were advised that there was a function on Saturday night - we were not made aware our room was above the function room and that we would endure hours of live music, presentations etc. When we complained we were advise we would be moved for the night and someone would bring a key to an alternative room - this never arrived - as we had incorporated 2 day work with 2 days break - this ruined our stay
