Fantistic hotel in fantistic location, friendly staff, great food, massive breakfast choice, lovely room/facilities, nothing to much trouble
What was there not to like
We could not fault the hotel. we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to give advice etc. Our room was superb and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, so consequently we slept well. The breakfast was excellent. What more do you want from a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and if we go back to Jersey we will definitely stay at the hotel again.
The swimming pool, garden and patio area. Afternoon cream tea was excellent and value for money
The room was a little too warm even with a fan and cooling unit. Needs full air conditioning
Food bit expensive Closure of other part of hotel View from single room
Facilities and food. Free parking
No fridge in the room.
Good restaurants (x 3) Friendly staff Food good Good facilities
Difficult to find Wine very expensive in restaurant Breakfast very expensive though good
Staff, cleanliness, location, comfort, food - breakfast choices were second to none. Free wi-fi. The swimming pool was very very relaxing. The curtesy bus into town was a huge help. Will definitely return again
The staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was comfortable
Its very dated and tired. No air con. waited over 35 mins for a taxi reception booked. Not close to town.
The terraces and spa facilities are lovely. Breakfast excellent, staff all friendly and helpful, room traditional but very comfortable. Would definitely visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Excellent breakfast, attentive staff, comfortable bed.
liked the pool area and restaurants staff were very attentive and polite .
Facilities, 4 star feel and grand appearance.
No air conditioning so room very stuffy despite desk fan provided. Guess that's the trade off for the lovely hot and wind-less weather we had.
Spa, outside bar very good
Best massage ever - she used her feet - it was amazing!!
Location to the town is excellent The buffet breakfast was good The spa is an excellent place to relax in
Nothing really, but for the money you pay I would expect that.
Perfect relaxing stay
reception area is not attractive
From the minute we arrived the staff made us very welcome, the facilities were excellent and the food was outstanding. We used the swimming pool and steam room etc and they were by far the nicest we have used in recent years. I would recommend this hotel highly and good value as well.
Everything. Staff first class,
everything, especially fitness/pool centre
no sound insulation between rooms on 5th floor, could hear everything from room next door
Friendly attentive staff. Room lovely and clean with comfortable beds. Spa and pool areas first class.
From the moment we arrived we found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. Our room which did not seem to be in the main part of the hotel was very spacious and well maintained. It was very quite at night and gave you an undisturbed nights rest. Breakfast was served over a reasonable period each morning and the food was plentiful and fresh. We ate in the hotel on a number of nights during our stay and found the menu had plenty of choice. The service was very good and the food plentiful. there are many area's within the hotel you can use, plus there is a bar area, which had various forms of live entertainment on a number of nights. While we did not use the Spa area it offered a number of different options and looked very clean and bright. The hotel itself was about a 15 minute walk from the town centre which my wife and I did in both directions each day without any difficulty. It was also accessible by the local bus service.
The only negative thing we found was that the optional restaurant serving Indian cuisine seemed a little to fussy in terms of it's menu. Perhaps part of the menu could offer dishes which are more readily recognized.
Comfortable bed and quiet room
The hotel has excellent spa facilities and delicious food was served both in the cafe aroma and at breakfast. Staff including the manageress were always cheerful and worked with a 'can do' attitude.
Initially we were not happy with our allocated room, as it was not what would be expected for what we had paid per night. It would appear also that there are sections of the hotel that have north facing, rather drab rooms that have yet to be upgraded to the standard of the rest of the hotel. One other minor point which is a problem encountered in many places, was that vegetarian meals were served in smaller portions ( more frustrating because the food was delicious!) when it is the man that is vegetarian and they have worked up an appetite at the gym etc etc this comes as a disappointment. However, service and food quality, also value for money generally was very good.
Helpfulness of staff.
I would have liked to be closer to Town
