Door hard to pull open, lack of ground floor outside seating
We were lucky enough to be allocated a room with a sea view & balcony - the room was a very good size with plenty of storage, comfy & clean. Breakfast was plentiful & tasty - staff were all very welcoming, friendly & chatty. I tried out the pool & had it all to myself - relaxing - pool & changing rooms were also very clean.
I loved the location of this hotel. It was perfect as a single traveller as I was able to pop over the road to the pub, have a great meal on the beach and wake up to a view of the ocean. The town centre is 10-15 mins walk away. My bed was comfy and the linen was soft. The bathroom was clean but fairly small.
The hotel in itself was dated and my taxi driver told me it had been scheduled for demolition. The rooms are basic as is the general decor but its well maintained and clean.
Comfortable bed. Excellent sausage and bacon.
Clearing plates from table whilst some are still eating!
Close to town and a walk to beautiful park.
Good breakfast, very friendly staff, nice room although traffic a bit noisy. Fantastic and convenient location, and near to bus stop for town centre about 8 mins by bus
Only 1 small bottle of shower gel for 3 nights! Cramped hallways and difficult haul for luggage
The evening meal, although we only ate there once, wasn't that brilliant
room that had a view of a wall
everything though i never got to try the swimming pool .breakfast was excellent staff were superfast.although we were only there for four days we enjoyed our stay immensely.well doneguys.!!!!!
Comfortable, clean and quite well placed. Bus stops were close and this proved to be very useful.
I require a gluten free diet and whilst paying lip service to my politely requested needs it was obvious that some staff had language difficulties and did not recognise that my needs would not change daily and were important to me! Bathroom safety features not apparent despite advance warning of mobility probs.
Seems to be good value for money. Decent breakfast and quiet location. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
good pub across the road, large room
Smelly carpets, overpriced, milk was off at breakfast, shower attachment in room leaked, would not stay again unless nothing else was available
Cumberland sausages, just not enough of them.....
Poor entry & exit to carpark, having to hand over car keys, overflow car park situated under big tree, car now needs a good clean & wax, lack of fire exit & reception signs outside rooms, no safety instructions inside rooms, from 1st floor windows no fire stairs up or down, hotel is a maze! as it is 3 hotels merged into one, fire doors with 1" gap at the bottom. time of breakfast could have been extended at weekends.
Sleeping difficult due to extractor fans / kitchen noise becoming noticeable at nignt
Restaurant staff and receptionists very helpful
Location, not much around hotel if unable to walk far. Car park too small, rooms too dark and hot, when we opened the window for fresh air the traffic noise was unbearable. When we asked for a cup of tea in the afternoon, it was served in a plastic cup with the tea bag still in it.
Location Facilities Cleanliness Staff Helpfulness
I liked the location , close to beaches and a few shops, pubs and restaurants It is an attractive old building. I will look up the history of this building.
It is very close to the main road and some of the rooms can be noisy, the only other thing is on the second floor where we were located in Room 47. It was very hot some of the time as the sun shines down on the roof above for just about all day, this room needs A/C , obviously at a cost (perhaps optional)
The food was good, the location was just across the road from the beach and a nice pub and restaurant The pool was good and very clean
If I had to say anything it would be maybe, air con would be good. but then the 4 star hotels don't have air con so i may be asking to much from a 3 star hotel
friendly hotel in quiet location, it was our second stay at this hotel and would be happy to stay again
parking can be a struggle when busy
Excellent pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied. Next to beach and bus stop.
Cheak out before 10am was very early. Very rushed final morning. Should be at least 11-12pm.
I would have expected to pay far more for a hotel of this quality. The staff are extremely attentive, the facilities are fantastic and the food is very good. Booked this hotel very short notice on arrival in St. Helier and didn't expect a great deal. Will be staying here again and highly recommend.
Breakfast and staff.
Room maintenance, especially non-functioning windows and lack of air conditioning. Poor lighting.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool and spa area including a sauna and jacuzzi were recently refurbished and towels are available from reception. The hotel has a bus stop each way just outside but it only takes about 15 mins to walk into St Helier (directions given by reception staff )
It's dodgey crossing the road outside the hotel as it is on a tight bend.
A truly great stay at this hotel and I hope to stay again on my next visit. z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z
