The leisure facilities. Carrington Grill. Room and terrace. Not being put in correct room originally, as per booking. Difficult access to evening food due to high occupancy of hotel.

The newly refurbished rooms are very nice and welcoming. The bed, pillows and duvet were extremely comfortable and a good nights sleep was assured The bathroom could have been cleaner. Not sure I like seeing someone elses hair in the bath and other places around the bathroom. Breakfast should start earlier, 7am on a business day is too late. Ouside the room was extremely noisy, the room backed onto the entrance of the spa and there were people/cars/noise both very late and early. Not ideal when trying to sleep. Double glazing the room would be beneficial.

The refurdished rooms were lovely, and the staff were very friendly. The whole place inside and out was stunning. The beds were incredibly comfy aswell, wish we were staying there longer. The prices of the drinks at the bar were not cheap, we did expect to pay a bit more in a good hotel, just maybe not that much.

The Deluxe room was Refurbished, Refurbished Gym (free with classes and pool), Free Internet access, table to work from, a safe, Capsule Coffee machine (Starbucks Coffee), hd tv with Sky Channels (sport 1-3, plus hd Movies is always nice to have), comfy bed, Gourmet food if you wanted, comfort food if not at not over the top prices. Excellent wine menu (didn't partake but would if returned for leisure). Golf course if your a fan. The "view of the lake" was blocked by a huge tent in the grounds making it not so enjoyable when working. But I appreciate that its there for a specific reason and wont always be there. I would have preferred a different room as that was one of the selling points of this compared with a standard room and lower price.

King suite, being collected at car park by buggy, friendliness of staff. Bedroom tiny, no bedside cabinet, tv didn't work. Moved to bigger room which smelt musty and carpet was flooded/soaking. Moved to king suite which was lovely. Breakfast was hectic and checking out so busy we couldn't move and waited 25 mins to be seen. We couldn't get served in bar so we left eventually! Had to call 3 times before we got towels. Very disappointing stay, we're so busy moving rooms there was no time to use spa facilities which we were looking forward to.

The view from the room. Staff were friendly. Windows didn't open far enough for fresh air. Rooms a little too warm. Having broken ankle lifts would have been handy.

Nice appearance, pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous location and setting. Comfy bed and great sheets, My only bugbear- having spent a vast amount renovating, why oh why have you scrimped on the cheap pine bedroom doors which let in the sound of every footstep and everything else in the corridors outside???

The swimming pool and Spa The bedrooms The grounds The local area The staff As a family of five very keen on tennis we were very disappointed we were unable to use the tennis court due to the building work being carried out. This was not pointed out when the booking was made. We are looking at returning to the hotel in July but need to know if all the facilities will be available

The venue is up to date clean and presntable to a high standard. The location and facilities are good overall. Having eaten at various restaraunts in the uk, for the money the restaurant is overpriced for what you receive and the service is slow. The current advertisement on the website for the menu needs updating for the grill. Advertising aperitifs on the menu andf not receiving them is poor.

The staff were superb! Professional, helpful, friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. De Vere should certainly be very proud of Mottram Hall's staff team. Made a 40th birthday very special. Thank you! The restaurant is going through a transitional phase. They have a well trained chef who I feel needs more control over his produce and menus. The food was not good value for money and I felt it catered to corporate clients (claiming expenses) rather than foodies or private guests. If the chef had free reign to develop the restaurant, it could be a flagship restaurant for De Vere and allow them to break away from the "chain" hotel tag.

I thought the hotel was great value for money, with lovely food. The staff at the wedding were very attentive. On the whole the staff were great. However, in the evening I wanted to register my credit card so I could charge bills to my room. I thought the blonde woman on reception was very very rude. She kept taking calls during the transaction and failing to apologise for this. Furthermore, when she had finished she just pushed my card to me over the table. I had to ask her if she had finished. I found this unacceptable service for such an establishement and would suggest that she is retrained on customer service.

Very good, professional staff, helpful and efficient. Adam in the restaurant was very sweet. The hotel looks beautiful after the renovation. Breakfast was very good The temperature of the hotel was far too hot and there was no facility to open a window, even on the ground floor (room 179). I found that very stifling and claustrophobic. You need to be aware that ladies over a certain age, need fresh air especially during the night when one can get especially hot! The food was not great really - no vegetables with the main course!? Very limited and dull set menu for the private dinner party on Saturday 30 March. Tiny canapés on Sunday 31 March for £10 per head. Very expensive for what we got I felt.
