Atchitecture and decoration of the building
Free & Fast WiFi, comfortable bed, VG breakfast, friendly staff, not in the city.
Nice location lovely building
Not enough seating in bar area
the grounds of the hotel were lovely to walk through in the morning after breakfast
Bar menu very limited
We booked the most expensive room available online. We were promised a room of 32m2 but this is not what we got. The room we were given was called Dirac and met the description of a standard double. The staff would not move us even though we were one of the 1st to check in that day. We were on 2nd floor and the shower backed up at flowed out the door when I used it. The staff would not discuss the issue or acknowledge it. Someone was sent to clean up and a lorry arrived with it's pump running close to our window all night to clear the drain. Staff, especially duty manager, were rude and suggested that they were to busy with other problems to discuss mine. I was told to "go to your room" and "discuss later", this did not happen. On check out, I was told that they will give me a better room next time but I am not sure they did enough for that.
Good location to Milton Keynes / Cranfield
The size of the room is very disappointing esp. for an executive room.
Lovely venue very close to Milton Keynes, wifi was good as was room and bed.
Bar was almost non existent and with a limited menu for both bar and restaurant. Staff seemed a little out there of their depth!
The location is a rural setting that has plenty of open space and the facility looks very extravagant with loads of history.
I was being scammed by the desk clerk on arrival. She wanted to overcharge me an tried to put words in my mouth with the booking agent when disputed. She even went so far after not being able to succeed to start crying an trying to put some blame on me and making her self look victimized. It was strange to say the least and I felt completely vulnerable and threatened by this woman. Other staff was normal but she was way over the top, after 2 hours of trying to get into a prearranged booked room. The rooms are small and cramped an wifi is sporadic. The cleaners were banging on the door long before check out and made a huge amount of noise in the morning.
The amazing architecture & decor.
The dark route to some of the rooms.
The building is spectacular views over the gardens and lake just beautiful, beds super comfortable and staff were all first class and extremely helpful
Little bit dusty in places just a small detail but it didn't spoil the stay
no biscuits for the tea making in room
Locaion Staff friendly Quality hotel
Daddy long leggs
Chicheley Hall is a very nice location with good staff, if you don't have a problem! The hall is very impressive and the expectaion is of a better standard.
My room was in the extension not the house, the heating was extremely hot when I arrived and then went off at 7pm and you cannot turn it back on, this left the room cold overnight, my TV did not work, the telephone did not work, when I complained they said they would sort it out and never did. They morning reception said they would credit some of the bill but you just need to be comfortable and have things work. So a poor night.
•Great looking location •Dinner was nice (Lamb), although accompaniments such as bread needed to be requested?? •Breakfast buffet as you would expect with a good choice
•Cleaning floors and bucket at breakfast - No thanks! •Small unimpressive bar, with limited choice •Very slow checkout •Annex needs a good dust and clean
What a fantastic place , especially if you're into Georgian architecture. Worth paying a bit extra to get a room in the main house. Beautiful grounds .... loved it. Friendly staff and a good buffet breakfast. I have paid the same amount and stayed in far inferior places.
the staff were friendly and the room was lovely
All aspects the staff are very friendlly has a small but well stocked bar
Nothing at all
Serenity of venue. Free upgrade to room in the house.....beautiful view. Free late checkout. Staff willing to help.
Fire alarm went off at 2:15. Stopped fairly quickly, but no apology made and sleep was badly disturbed.
Dead fly on bathroom window ledge for the length of my stay
Good bedrooms, friendly and helpful staff
The entrance to the hotel lobby is poor, it belies what the hotel is like. Had I not had a pre paid booking I would probably have turned round without even bothering to look inside
Fabulous location. An ideal retreat for any occassion. Couldn't recommend it enough.
Excellent building and ground full of interesting history.
The building, historical elements, furniture , soft furnishings, grounds, helpful staff
Nothing to dislike
I love this hotel .its very beautiful and a treat to stay there and I was upgraded to a lovely room in the main house which was great.
Noise in room next door did keep me awake .Did leave early as a result but would go back again.
