Score from 148 reviews Very good
The room was very clean and presentable. Shower was lovely and powerful. Tea and coffee facilities in room was good. Easy access to our room via back entrance was also very good.
Very noisy late at night. Moving furniture accross the floors above our room when you have small children is not good. Very difficult to sleep with so much noise.
Cleanliness of room was poor. Very dusty and only 1 tv channel
Clean room with Wi-fi and decent beds and shower. Ideal for a function we were attending at the Churchill Tavern.
This is a community pub not a hotel and this should be made clear. I have no problem staying in these places when I am working but my wife's face was a picture when we walked into the bar to check in.
Gave me their 'best' room! Not too far from seafront and o bus route from station. Seemed quite clean but very much in need of refurbishment
Difficulty in locating my booking! This is a pub (noisy with band) rather second rate.
Good value for money. Comfortable room. Bus stop near by. Not far from railway station and beach front
Work in progress on exterior of building at that time. A bit noisy in the morning.
Comfortable room, no problems during our 5 night stay. Recommend if you want good value and basic accommodation near the centre of Ramsgate.
Central location, basic but all you need when you're on a budget. A cheap, clean and comfortable hotel. A bit noisy with doors slamming but this happens in most hotels with the fire doors.
Could do with a full length mirror as there's only one in the bathroom but only a small concern. Slamming doors a bit annoying but normal for most hotels, just take ear plugs!
Greeted by really friendly staff when we got there, who kindly showed us to our room and informed us of any events happening at the pub downstairs through the week
The building was under construction at the time we visited which we was unaware of. Being woken up at 7:30 every morning by some guy doing the roofing was not pleasant!
Everything was great! Friendly people, nice breakfast and nice room!
too many stairs to rooms small rooms very basic facilities
The value for money, location and comfort of the room, friendly staff.
It was clean
Tv didn't have a remote and very noisy in the morning .
Was the ideal location for me as I only had a 5 minute walk to we're i needed to go
Beds comfortable and clean.quiet at night. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment on the exterior so perhaps my negative comments should be taken with that in mind
Asked to pay before seeing room. Black mould in the bathroom and shower head was filthy. Clearly no staff in the hotel at night so if a problem had arisen there would have been no resolution
Comfortable & clean room. Helpful staff.
No breakfasts (were told @ time of booking) 2 rooms were on different levels.
Shower/ toilet was excellent, room clean & access easy.
Noise from other rooms' extractor fans kept me awake because of thin walls/floors between rooms. They go on whirring away for a long time even if someone has just used the toilet or gone out and left the toilet light on. They can be turned off by a switch over the door but I myself discovered that. I know that they need to work when a shower's been used but should not be running for so long at any other time. I guess that most people wouldn't care or know how to switch the fan off as I did. Also, there was a lot of noise one morning before 7am when the adjoining pub was throwing empty beer barrels up from the cellar onto the street. On arrival & being shown to my room by a bar staff girl, she failed to show me how to get out of the building. However, overall good value.
Shabby and much too small. Not even a chair in the room or a hanger for your clothes.
Excellent value, Top Hotel.
Location and friendliness of the staffs. Good quality bed and great view looking at the seaside from the top floor
Old rooms and dirty outside the windows. Room was hot (but it was summer)
Helpfulness of staff, early booking in allowed, excellent value for money
No breakfast, access to rooms through pub bar, window view blocked by old mattress propped up outside (they were having building work done, but still not v good).
Location Friendly staff
Not far from beach, a short walk to town centre, several small cafés near. Price very good. Room clean.
Very basic. No hair dryer, room not properly cleaned every day and towels not changed. I hadn't realised when I booked that it was a pub, I had thought it was an hotel from the name. It is a sports pub and we had a room in the basement. It was no problem, just a surprise!
It had a good shower. The TV worked OK. Parking was OK. It was not noisy.
Our room was up 5 flights of stairs which got narrower at the top (or seemed to). The pool table (one of the reasons for booking there) was put to one side and covered up as there was a function in the evening. There were two single beds rather than a double.
Beautifully clean room. Very relaxed atmosphere. Excellent economy accommodation. Quirky micro pub opposite with an entertaining landlord.
It's a community pub as well as a hotel and the regulars are hard core after work drinkers equipped with tattoos and high vis vests. I didn't mind this at all but might not be a place for the faint hearted! :-)
good television in room
The humming noise all night kept me awake
