dated tired décor window catches falling off light bulbs not working ho hum food disproportionately high price for 3rd rate hotel
Breakfast wasn't great but they were catering for wedding guests so maybe usually better.
Very good value bar meals. Despite the number of people at the wedding served very quickly at the bar.
Cost of soft drinks for drivers. Bedrooms a bit dated.
Food very good
This hotel is long over due a makeover the floor boards in the room are lose the bathroom tiles and shower where dirty
My single room was ideal for what I needed and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I ate in the restaurant as there was no food available in the bar. My meal was excellent.
The hot water took about 15 minutes to come through in my shower - I very nearly gave up! Some of the decor is a wee bit tired in places.
The room was nice sized and the bed was comfortable. There was no noise at night making sleeping a dream. The staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfast was super. They also have a well stocked bar ;)
It was a little out the reach from most places to walk. But a £8 taxi ride into Kirkcaldy where there were bars and trains into Edinburgh.
The room that I was given was a newly refurbished one and it was great. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Huge room, comfy bed, and spacious bathroom. Evening meal was delicious and bar staff were very accommodating for a late lunch. Wish I could have stayed another night
Breakfast was quite disappointing compared to the lovely food had for lunch and the evening meal. No hash browns, no bananas or fruit yoghurts.
the buffet breakfast was terrible all the hot food looked as though it had been there for hours it was all dried up, cold meats just left open on counter top uncovered haveing to make tea etc from machine was not the experience expected from a 3*hotel this was tottaly differant from what was printed on the menue
Good value. Very friendly staff. Good food.
Not enough lighting in the room.
Rooms Staff Restaurant food
Quiet location but not far from the center Easy access Friendly staff Good service and food Good parking
It rained the next day - not the hotels fault :-)
Every thing was great
The overall set up was good and staff very helpful would stay again even after traveling 500mls
The chairs and tables looked we'll warn could do with a refurb
noise on one night from next room
Responsive and friendly staff Easy access to town and main roads
Food very average Décor very dated and tired
Quality of the room. Was worried after reading reviews on here that non refurbished rooms would be low standard. In fact a standard room was very good I guess the refurbished ones must be fantastic...
They changed room to ground floor at no extra charge as lift out of action
Had to ask each time to be let in or out of disabled entrance Shame lift not working
Just didn't like the noise, there was too much noise on the back of my room also I went to the reception And told them but it' seems to me nothing happen
Only hotel in area with bedroom I could access without climbing stairs
Room very dark Breakfast ruined by lack of staff and food not out or out under heat lamp for excessive time Lunch - parfait dreadful Had to enter and exit hotel through restaurant for wheelchair access
Comfy bed Nice surrounding Good food
The fact that the lift didn't work as I needed to use because I broke my foot
Staff managed to move me to a double room after the first night. I am working in Fife every other week for around 18 months, 3 nights at a time so have been looking at different hotels in area. Food was ok
The first night was a disaster, single room next to vent shaft, like sleeping in a ships engine room. Mattress had ridges running sideways and you could feel the springs in between. What little sleeping I did was on top of the quilt. Called reception who told me all the extractor fans would be off by 11pm, phoned back at 11.30pm and eventually the fans were switched of till just before 6am. Not sure of the price of a double room but would definitely not stay at hotel again in a single room.
Spacious room, lovely en suite, good choice at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
No hair dryer in room.
Staff were friendly, food was good in the restaurant in the evening and bar and waiting service good.
Outdoor areas dirty and unkempt, cigarette ends at the main entrance in abundance! My room was tiny and not clean! View over a moss covered roof and a view of the bins! Very noisy and a pre arranged early group breakfast didn't happen as the chef didn't turn up ! Clearly understaffed.
