Although indicated small room when booked I did not realise this also meant poor ventilation and stuffy room. Towel in bathroom also smelt - did not request to be changed as needed immediately.

Perfect location, short walk from train station, opposite minster. Room was immaculately clean with nice extra touches such as dvd player and dvd library. Extensive breakfast choice - first time I have seen a hotel offer veggie sausages!! Breakfast choice to please everyone with very friendly staff.

Excellent customer service. We had a set meal with a group which was very well organised, delicious food. Nice room with comfortable bed.

Room was warm so we had to open the window. It was noisy in the night until 4.30am due to there being a busy taxi rank outside. York is a very noisy crowded centre at night. With the windows closed the noise was shut out. Air-con might have solved this problem.

Location was excellent and staff were very friendly and efficient.

The bar facilities are not great, not the sort of place where you actually want to retire to after shopping or an evening out, which is a shame for me as I think this is part of the hotel experience.

Proximity to city centre. Helpful staff.

Single rooms very small. Cost of wheel chair hire. This should have been red for guests spending £1100 on rooms.

Room was too hot and the noise outside which went on till 3.30am but this is what you get from a city hotel with loads of students. Still did not spoil our stay

Room was quite expensive for size, though this is prob due to location and date (York races were on and there were a few weddings) however, We've stayed in luxury central hotels in London for less.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was nice and clean. The breakfast menu was great. Once we arrived at our room we received a courtesy call to say we're we happy with everything which I thought was great customer service, therefore if we wasn't something would have been done to meet our needs.

The only thing which was slightly disappointing is that the room was very hot in the night, therefore we opened the window and was woken up at 7.30 each morning by workmen working on the building next door.

Staff were very friendly and helpful - special mention to porter and restaurant manager. Position - right by York Minster Food was also very good.

In first room tv did not work properly and bathroom was very small. Bed was not very comfortable. Second room was much better. Rooms looked a little tired.

terrible noise on Saturday night from people waiting for taxis - would not stay on a Saturday night again, so could not go to the Minster

the location is excellent and they have very interesting menues

All of the staff at dean court are very friendly and extremely helpful and they make your stay a very welcoming one . They even added us to their loyalty scheme as we have already stayed twice and have another two visits booked. Fantastic hotel . Excellent position restaurant fantastic
