Best Western Dean Court Hotel

I enjoyed the comfort and the peace. I particularly enjoyed the breakfasts. The proximity to the tourist attactions shops and to the train station were very helpful. We walked from the station and it only took 7 mins.

The location is fabulous, directly opposite York Minster and very peaceful. All of the staff were extremely friendly and efficient, both day and night from reception through to housekeeping. Although classed as 'budget', I found my room was perfect for my short business trip with everything you would expect or need. The breakfast was brilliant and the decor is lovely. I loved the experience so much I have come straight back to work and booked a short, non-work trip to York in July to stay at Dean Court again!

We have stayed here before and have always found the stay most enjoyable. The staff are very friendly while keeping a level of professionalism, the room was beautiful and the location perfect for both relaxation, culture and ofcourse shopping! The food was lovely and bar prices very very reasonable when compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast is only enhanced by the beautiful views of the minster while you enjoy the excellent choice of breakfast menu.

It is in a very convenient location right by historic York Minster and shopping streets. The staff could not have been more helpful and courteous, especially in assisting my friend, who uses a walking aid. The restaurant has views of the Minster. The food was delicious!

Good service, clean room, good breakfast, general cleanliness and comfort. Brilliant location right in the heart of York with views of the Minster from breakfast!

Lift was broken and did not get fixed in the 3 days we were there.

Very central so no need for a car.

Rather warm in the room despite the weather being cool for May.

The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make sure everything was just right for us. The position just opposite the Minster was perfect.

Staff were friendly and helpful - room was upgraded and excellent with good facilities and a view of the Minster. Breakfast was delicious and well presented.

Very Nice Hotel – Courteous, Professional Staff – ungraded to a Deluxe room, valet parking and an excellent breakfast – will defiantly be back !

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fine.Lighting was good,Breakfast had variety and service was okay,

Comfort, quality of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. The quality and variety of food on offer. The situation right in the middle of town.

Small point - the lighting in the bathroom was not good. No light shining on the face in the mirror made shaving/ make-up quite difficult.

Attention to detail, friendly and helpful staff. Well kept real ale in the bar and smoked haddock for breakfast. Beautiful setting just by the Minster. I've stayed in York many times for business and pleasure but never at the Dean Court before. It will be my first choice in future.
