We liked the friendly and efficient staff, the very comfortable ambience, the good rooms and the breakfast. Nice bathroom. Great views. We had a room with two single beds pushed together to form a king sized bed. We didn't, however, have a king sized blanket....and certainly not a duvet. The two single blankets were difficult to sleep under and caused a disrupted night's sleep. The breakfast bacon was far too salty and spoilt the rest of the experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Deans Place, the staff were so helpful and changed our rooms so that we were next door to eachother, which made it easier with the kids. The outdoor heated pool was a big hit with the kids and as we were staying on a Mon/Tues the hotel was quite quiet so they had the pool to themselves. The setting of the hotel is really beautiful too. Would definitely go back again.

Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Nice bathroom. The plumbing was very noisy. In my room you could hear the plumbing from other rooms when the other rooms were using a shower or using the toilet. The noise woke me up in the morning. As it is a family hotel the children staying were very noisy first thing in the morning. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet and at 9.00am much of the food was cold.

I had thought from the hotel's website that our room would overlook the gardens, but our view was that of the car park. The room was noisy, with a large fan immediately outside the window, which didn't shut properly. However as it was late when we arrived we didn't feel like making a fuss and asking to change rooms. Although a firm bed is good for the back this one was so hard that I woke in pain in the middle of the night and had bad backache the next two days. The cooked breakfast was pre-cooked, with over- salted bacon, eggs and mushrooms, the dining room dark and oppressive, overlooking the car park. Altogether overpriced for what it offers.

Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere.Very welcoming and very happy to be able to have my dog with me, since so few hotels are truly at ease with dogs. My room had a very noisy air conditioning unit outside. This kept me awake during the night.I complained to the reception who apologized profusely and made a deduction to my bill.
