Liked the fact that you could have a drink in the bar and then have a meal. Did not have to leave hotel once there! Loved the four poster bed - and so did my husband. |

The staff at this hotel genuinely care about the guests. It was a relaxed environment in a beautiful setting. Quintescentially, English village with church bells. It was quiet, clean and roomy. Information was available about the Hotel and the surrounding area. There were a few problems.....namely the shower was scalding hot but it was resolved quickly by the staff, the room was hot as well with no air con it was a little uncomfortable. Whilst the food was outstanding some of the waitressing skills need a bit of fine tuning (thats the problem when the guests have worked in the industry). The morning coffee was sooo strong we could not drink it :-( |

We were there celebrating our silver wedding anniversary and the staff upgraded us to a superior room with four poster bed and victorian bath. We ate in the hotel for dinner and the quality of the food and the presentation was excellent. Everything was first class. |

Everything was as expected. Good check-in and check-out. Good breakfast service, especially 6am start for grand prix weekend. Corridor doors quite creaky. Rather expensive - probably because of F1 grand prix premium. Limited evening meal options - nothing really suitable for children; hotel seems to cater more for adult stayers. However, another hotel in the group approximately 5 minutes walk away had more choice. |

The staff were generally helpful and attentive; the food was very good and reasonably priced; the room was comfortable. The price of the stay was high, but this was mainly because of the opportunistic pricing linked to the fact that the British Grand Prix was held at the nearby Silverstone. |

The hotel provided many features that kept me pleased and delivered a nice holiday feel that would bring me back within the near future. there was a confusion of how to locate the heating setting of the room I was staying at as the rooms got a little to hot however there was a fan. |

The Restaurant is first class and all the food exellent at a fair price. We would certainly make a 50 mile detour just to eat there. The room and decor are very tired looking. Extractor fan in bathroom not working, reported to Reception within 30 minutes of arrival, but not fixed during our stay. TV just has basic channels, but picture so poor that you would not want to watch it. |

The bathroom door had only a latch which did not engage properly. The two bedside lights did not work. The receptionist lost my Booking Confirmation Form. |
