Location. Food. Room. Staff. Parking.
Arrived late, nobody at front desk for 15mins.
The food was exceptional, staff friendly and courteous, rooms clean and warm.
Couldn't stay longer
Peaceful country location. Warm feel to the whole place. So typically english country estate. Superb iin every way
Food was excellent but expensive.
Staff seemed unorganised.
Beautiful gardens and scenery.
Very difficult to find the place.
Only found out about it recently.
The décor, friendliness, a good stay for leisure.
Breakfast starts at 7:30, which is a little late if setting off early to avoid motorway traffic. No Wifi in room.
friendly staff very keen to please and extremely helpful. lovely period comfortable furniture and interesting art work menu and gardens chilled atmosphere
The quietness of the place
No Wi-Fi available - Staff did not know the password nor offered an alternative
The hotel itself was stunning, we had a small mix up with rooms upon arrival but this was quickly sorted. The main house was charming as were the grounds and the staff were attentive but not intrusive, the night away was all we had hoped for.
This was my second stay at the Deer Park Country Hotel in the last month and it was as good as my first. It is a very comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting. The food in the restaurant was delicious. I thought the hotel was excellent value for money and I would definitely stay again.
We stayed in the newly refurbished garden rooms which were beautiful. There was a large shower and the bed was very comfortable
Paying £7.95 for a glass of wine!
The ambience of the hotel and surrounding gardens
The bedroom was too hot for me as I am used to a much colder room.
Sense of excitement on approach long drive beautiful surroundings and old house. Jaguar and Alvis lent a classic appeal on the drive. Main house decor and art work impressive and Reception and all staff polite and attentive.
Room was not made after first night. We kept the key during the day unaware that hotel did not have a spare! Room Service, therefore, unable to get in. Quite a push, as soon as we'd arrived after a long journey, to commit us to dining in.
Beautiful location and friendly staff. It is always a pleasure to return and to enjoy the grounds with our Japanese Spitz dog. Tip,- our sat nav kept telling us to turn left when reaching the road, but if you turn right instead you will avoid a long lane and reach the main highway by a shorter route.
We found nothing to dislike
Lovely comfy bed great breakfast
Only problem was there was no shower in the room
Lovely food, staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds with lovely feather duvets
I would have liked to have been told that a 'garden view' room was actually in a separate wing. Room was quite small and I would have much preferred to be in the main house
Extremely comfortable hotel in beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious and all of the staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly.
Peaceful Location, friendly Staff, good dining. Lovely paintings and sports memorabilia decorate the Hotel.
Nothing to dislike on the night we stayed.
Location was very pretty and scenic and parking was free. Room and bath were clean and comfortable. However, it is very isolated and therefore one is dependent on the hotel for dinner options.
The staff was very unaccommodating and a bit inhospitable. We were unable to get dinner reservations until much later than we would prefer and there was no other dinner option available. We were finally able to get a ham sandwich in our room.....which was better than nothing. It wasn't just the lack of food choices available but the attitude of haughty indifference. The room was pleasant but definitely not worth the price. The one night stay at the Deer Park Hotel was a definite low point in our visit to southern England.
You were made to feel as though you were in the set of Downtown Abbey. A wonderful experience in front of the open fire sipping a glass of wine.
There was nothing not to like.
The hotel is set in a lovely location. Food was excellent,Hotel Staff were all very helpful and polite.
Nothing negitive to say
My room was in the Garden wing some distance from the main house, and I was told that they had just spent £600k on renovation that part of the hotel. So I was very disappointed that there was no Wifi internet available at all in the Garden wing. There was also no 3G signal on my phone, so it was necessary to walk back to the main house if you needed the Internet for work/emails. I asked at reception and was told there was nothing they could do as the router was in reception? If you need Wifi in your room you need to be careful to check if it is available before you book!!!
Very nice peaceful setting. Main building very pleasant as befits a country house hotel.
Frankly, for single occupancy the accommodation was far too small and verging on the ridiculous. Far better not to offer single occupancy with such unsatisfactory conditions.
Grounds, building, architecture, gardens, staff - all excellent, art on the walls and in the gardens, quaility of food at breakfast, room bathroom, The overall experience was excellent. I would recommend to everybody and already have. Thank you all for my stay.
Lack of Wifi coverage - only near reception, no bicyle parking (although the place does promoted outdoor activities) and the fact that there was no option for food other than full formal dinner for £30 when I arrived in the evening.
