The grounds The hotel was tired. The food was awful, but at least the staff were polite. |

The choice of food for breakfast was excellent as were the staff who served it. The low level of light in bedside lamps - poor for reading! The electronic key had to be re-programmed twice during the stay and it was a long treck from the room to get this done! The bathroom needs an up-date. Directions to room unclear - signs inconsitent so hard finding room first time! An enjoyable stay nevertherless! |

Wonderfull hotel full of character. Sone facilities, such as the bar were in need of updating. I gather the hotel is about to close for a £2m refit. Can't wait to see it afterwards |

The hotel is an old manor house and not at all like chain hotels. Rooms are comfortable and of a good size. Food is very good. Too little drawer space in room. Some signs of lack of maintenance. |

Character of hotel itself. It's placed in old mansion at rural area and we loved it. We were in a hurry in the morning. After waiting 25min for our brakfast we had to cancel it (despite it was paid already), otherwise we would be late. It takes me max 15min to fix full english breakfast for 4. Not very good service :/ |

Location and quiet. As a historian I would of prefered some information on the history as it was supposed to be one of the oldest houses in Gloucestershire. |

The location, and the history of the hotel were the main good points about this hotel. I can recommend a walk or jog around the racecourse (3 miles). Breakfast was a unique experience in Tudor surroundings. The room was large, and reasonably comfortable. We were impressed on arrival. The Polish(?) lady at reception was very helpful, polite, and efficient. Overall a good experience. The bathroom was 3rd world and the shower went everywhere. Lighting was poor due to low voltage bulbs ... this was a bit of an issue if you wanted to read. The bar staff were slow coming to serve, and the drinks were a bit expensive, but not too bad. |

Great environment. Staff polite but lacking in welcoming skills. We had to request a change of room due to worn out furniture, television and dirty carpets. The television in the second room was also poor. |

No comment A good facade but too many corners cut ie. No butter just Flora served at breakfast, Bar meal was very poor I complained to management but instead of refunding the meal price I was offered an option. |
