YHA Brecon Beacons was a lovely base for our hiking trip. The location is peaceful and close to major trails, with clean rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and helpful trail maps at reception. Both our pod and shared room were cosy with essentials like heating and plug points. The pricing was very reasonable for the comfort offered. The only issue was the strict 5–10 PM check-in window. It was the first and last time.
It was the first and last time. Litter outside everywhere, payments covered in fag ends. Normal for smokers ! Parking is poor.... hotel did not advise. Alcohol, drinking and swearing outside the hotel to 2am. The night porter could of rang the police but didnt.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

A quaint town. Only experienced it for one evening. Chose Brecon Tap for dinner and it was excellent, fabulous pies, beers, ciders and warm atmosphere. Brecon is a second home for me as I have family in the area. Lovely town with some very pretty Georgian architecture and some lovely shops and cafes. Fabulous museums. The place was nice and cosy staff were helpful there was a night porter if you needed help during the night. Brecon is a busy little town plenty of parking but no overnite parking.
