The joining instructions were poor. The confirmation said park in bay ? I telephoned the number on the booking to ask for clarity on the parking bay number and the guy who answered said the office was now closed and he couldn't help until Monday (not very helpful given we were staying at the weekend). The telephone number is also a premium rate number (it cost me £3.50 to explain to him that we needed to know before Monday). The hot water in the shower didn't work. I checked the boiler and it all appeared ok. I emailed the company on the Monday but had no apology or explanation. The final straw was that they withheld our deposit with no explanation. We left the apartment in sparkling condition. I emailed them three times and phoned twice (on the premium number) to ask for my deposit back. The telephonist said they'd get back to me, but nothing. Avoid them , spend your money elsewhere.
The balcony was nice. The bed was comfy
There was an extra £50 deposit to be paid which only shows up after you book. Any questions I had before staying were briefly and very informally answered to, while still not making it clear. You can only get into the building between 3-5pm so when we got there at 7pm we had to stand around outside to wait for a resident to come by and open the door. There were no instructions as to how to open the balcony door, so for the first night we were locked out of the balcony. Eventually I figured it out but only by sheer luck. If you have a degree in plumbing you should be able to have a hot shower. We stayed two nights with cold showers. I rang the number provided and it didn't work. I emailed with my number and asked to be contacted by phone, a few hours later I got a response to say that someone must have used the water. When I explained that we haven't used any water I was given a brief description of how to reset a "water guard" which involved switching things on and off from the mains. After much time spent trying to figure it all out I had to admit defeat and went without hot water. Nobody would call me. Having initally requested a late checkout, I had sent an email requesting to cancel this, to which I got no reply. Checkout time is 10.30am, and at 10am a cleaner came to the door ready to clean the apartment. This makes me wonder did they receive my email about cancelling the late checkout or would I have been asked at 10am by the cleaner what my intentions were. Overall as an apartment it's nice. But you expect to have someone to assist you. To provide clean towels on the second day. To contact you and resolve any problems you have. It is not luxury, it pretty much ruined our stay in Manchester and I would not recommend staying here, with the exception of the balcony if the weather is really really nice, it is not worth the sacrifice of no shower and nobody to assist you in any way

I'm not one to complain, but this place was poor. Our bedsheets and pillow cases were so dirty that I had to remove them before bed. There were breadcrumbs and blood spots on them! The shower didn't work in the morning either, there was only cold water! We complained about this but didn't hear a word back, that's the most disappointing part. Do not bother with this place despite how nice the photos may look. Worth paying extra for another place, they don't deserve your money.

The bedroom sheets were dirty. One had blood stain on it. Tried for several hours without success to get any hot water. Facilities were sparse. Did not feel like a luxury apartment. Very disappointed. Will definitely to for a hotel in future.
Absolutely disgusting, poor cleanliness, no use of balcony, no refund! Beard trimmings in sink, stained pillows dirty and poor communication.
Bought flowers for £45 to find out they were from local supermarket. No hot water overall this was a bad experience and would not recommend to anybody and still not received an apology 5 weeks later
Great location and the lovely apartment if it had been serviced properly
Servicing agent was very unhelpful-the patio door did not open and when I rang to ask for instructions I was questioned why I wanted to open the door- did I smoke was it sunny? Very patronising and off hand-told to look in the kitchen drawer-no instructions found. The apartment could have done with a good deep clean and bed sheets were stained and un-ironed.

This guy is an absentee tenant who is scamming people .read previous reviews . Once he has your cash ,that's it . He will not correspond , keep the so called " good guest deposit" and not respond when you have a problem . The hot water does not work , see previous reviews. When you ring his number he has transferred all calls to Preston Student accommodation ,who know nothing about him or the apartment . I shall be contacting booking .com for my deposit back and to get this apartment removed from their site ,by the way if are stupid enough to stay ,the car bay number is 247 upper level , don't pay the 14.99 as he cannot stop you parking there unless he is physically there and there is no chance of that. Have as many people at the apartment as you want .The Management company who operate the edge want nothing to do with the apartment or this tenant and will certainly not allow any viewing of CCTV footage to be released to him or any one .So all his threats of charging extra are rubbish
when we arrived the door was locked. the apartment was not cleaned after previous client. we had to phone for someone to come to let us in and clean apartment. we phoned at 3.00 p.m. had to leave a message. the call was not returned so had to phone again approx. 20 mins . later. this time somebody answered they told me to push the door very hard and it would open. we told them we could see that the door was locked. they said they would send somebody to let us in and clean apartment. we asked how long this would take for someone to come and he said it would depend on the traffic. there was no apology on the phone. someone came approx. 50 mins later and said he would have to clean apartment he told us to go away for 30 mins at least. the appartment was not clean. the 8 inch high radiators all around the glass windows were very dirty underneath which is clearly visable. there are dirty marks and stains on the sofa. the rug is threadbare in the lounge area. the valance on the double bed in main bedroom was stained and something spilt down it on window side. we were led to believe it was a luxury apartment. it definatly was not at all. the location was good. we will not stay in a apartment again as the standard was very low.
Apartment was spacious and modern and located centrally for arena,arndale and Christmas markets.
Bathroom had not been cleaned and towels didnt smell like they had been washed...freezer was thick with ice and when taking a shower the water was freezing. Instructions in utility rm on how to adjust hot water were either incorrect or faulty water system as kitchen tap water also ice cold. Overpriced for quality for a midweek overnight stay.

Heating not easy to work out so very cold. Hot water the same as heating, hence no hot water.My girlfriend had to boil a kettle and wash her hair in the sink. Only one cup for hot drinks. Apartment very dirty and dusty. Balcony door did not open to make use of that excellent feature. As a now experienced traveller using apartments on a regular basis, I found this totally unacceptable and feel that was way over priced for the conditions that we had A refund would be a good gesture to gain confidence in booking via your site next time.
The apartment was nice and central
The apartment was not cleaned the bedding was old with hair everywhere. The shower was dirty and we had no hot water for the entire stay.
Unclean, dog hair all over settee, bed sheets stained, insufficient towels to have a shower, non existent customer service,balcony door was jammed so we were unable to access the balcony, over charged, refundable deposit still not refunded, blinds broken, enquiries dealt with in a rude manner, not the same as photos advertised .
One of the worst experiences I've been through. This is not even hotel apartments. It is someone's please and they are renting it. No wonder why I had to pay by paypal. There is no reception in the first place! I called to ask about how to get in as the recpetion for the residents was so confused when I asked him how to get into the aparment. He told me that the building's apartments is only rented for long terms such as 6 months and so. I went to the aparment as the key was in the aparments and it was already open for me as instructed in the email. It was filthy. Hair on the pillows, as if someone was just sleeping there an hour ago. The sofa was really dirty. Actually when I walked in I found some mail letters on the floor! It was a shock as I found no other place to go to and Manchester was really fully booked. I felt so decieved. And the 50 pounds lie of the guest bond, I never had it back. I've been calling them since I left and they answered rudely as always and then they didn't answer at all. All I'm thinking is how a decent website such as booking would deal such level of residency?!
