The breakfast overall was good, but the bacon seemed a bit salty. However it is just a very small thing if you are not a fussy eater.
Ien (I wonder if the name is spelled in this way), the host of this guest house is very kind and friendly.
From the first minute when we arrived, he had given us lots of useful information about the facilities of the room and the travel plan.
Every morning during the breakfast he would have some nice chat with us, about the local historical places of interest, about his guest house and his interesting experience. We feel very happy to chat with him who can always make everyone cheer up.
Most importantly, he would suggest what to see and visit according to different weather and our needs. Following basically his suggestions, we had very good time for three days in Lake District. I remember the details that not only the tourist handbook he would offer, but also he provided me with a printed paper with the route and suggested time spent on it, very helpful and useful.
For the stay experience, the house overall seems slightly smaller than usual, but it will not affect if you never mind. The wifi, not like some other comments I saw before getting there, did work well at least in my room on the first floor. I am very happy with that.
