Denewood Hotel  

The reception staff is excellent. Close to the beach. Very nice and filling breakfast. Iwill definitely come back again.

I couldn't fault this hotel which I felt gave excellent value for money and very good service. I also lost my mobile phone which a guest found and handed in. The hotel phoned my home number to tell me it had been found.

Having stayed at the Denewood 9 ( nine ) times the breakfast has always been a highlight

I was disappointed this time as the heating in the bathroom was faulty but would still come again (10th. time)

The welcome and helpfulness of the staff were very good. The hotel is well situated for the beach and our room had a lovely view of the sea. Rooms were comfortable and well kept and there appears to be an ongoing effort to improve the rooms. My friends single room had a new carpet fitted whilst we were there and when we returned from our days outing there was a box of chocolates thanking her for her co-operation and apologising for any inconvenience... a nice touch that went down well. I would and have recommended this hotel to friends. Its not luxiourious but simply run with a friendly atmoshere.

For the purpose of staying whilst attending to a course, it seems to be like a home to me because the staff are ready to help and are very friendly. The rooms are very clean and the basic things are there. This includes the Bible which I use whilst staying.

If there is some sort of communication from the room to the reception, it would be beneficial.

Friendly and efficient staff: took and relayed accurately a message ready for my arrival; greeted me by name on checking out. Breakfast good especially the mushrooms. Toast served straight away so you can be eating it while waiting for the main part. All these little things add up to a lot! I don't like sitting in silence for several minutes waiting for the toast like one does in some otherwise good hotels.

Coffee rather feeble - that's all!

Very friendly greeting and service at breakfast which was incidentally a good full english one and well cooked. Well situated only minutes from the beach all be it up an incline. Beds very comfortable and room basic but clean.

We had a room at the very top of the Hotel up quite a few stairs which might put off some elderly customers if they cant choose rooms lower down. Our room overlooked a block of flats but still had a distant sea view, however a bit overlooked by the flats.

Location and price. Owner was very friendly and helpful when we arrived and was keen to speak to us when we left. The bed was very comfortable too

When we arrived for breakfast, there was an electric fire on in the dining room and it was too hot! It didn't need to be on. Only a minor thing.
