Lovely, welcoming and helpful staff. Clean room and a good full English breakfast! Offered best value in a popular seaside location during August. Decor and furnishings in need of update/refurbishment.

Perfect locality ,friendly staff , good breakfast They switched off central heaating for my first two nights between midnight and five in the morning and I had to sleep with my Jacket on . When I complained one of the staff told me there was something wrong with the system ,then when I told her its not true cause other residents complained as well she told me they switched it off only for one hour every day .Then after all the hessle they caused me they were very friendly and the manager changed my room . I cant say anything about my second room cause it was a bit warmer than the first and very comfortable .

Location - close to Boscombe beach and shops, enjoyable beach or cliff walk to Bournemouth. Pleasant girl who checked me in and served breakfast - only member of staff I saw at a weekend! New en suite with good shower. Payment taken day before I arrived. On arrival, my room was not ready and when I was shown to the room it smelt strongly of paint and the windows were closed! I enquired about an alternative room but only a tiny attic room was available, so had windows wide open all the time as I am asthmatic. Luckily it was mild for January! An air purifier was put in the room while I was out, but the room should have been aired before use. Toilet did not flush properly and seat needed fixing. Full English Breakfast was not good, and most of it cold. Saw nothing of management during my stay, very unprofessional.

The staff were extremley helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean. The hotel was dated, although you could see attempts had been made to refurbish. The breakfast room was like sitting in an icebox though!

the rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfast served was very good.the hotel was good value for money with no frills attached. there was no bar in the hotel, I would call it a guest house rather than a hotel.

My friend and I stayed here for our university graduation ball, and literally this place is like a 5 minute stroll (in heels!) to the 02 academy where our ball was held. The lady who met us was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we need and that our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was great, lots to eat and delicious! This hotel is also spotless, and has a very relaxed air about it. Would recommend for sure. Oh, and its close to the beach too! I can only say... the bathroom door did not shut properly... (room 19)

The quality of the Breakfast was excellent and much better than many of the more well known and larger hotels. The very efficient and friendly young German ladies who served the breakfast and booked us in. Lacked atmosphere. Did not see a proprietor and it was more like a Motel atmosphere

This is such a lovely place to stay for a weekend away close to the beach. We had a really large double room with a sea view. The owner did everything she could to make sure our stay was comfortable. I asked for porridge every day and this was made especially for me. Overall, this hotel is really good value for money and only about a 4 minute walk or lesss to boscombe beach which is lovely. There are some nice places to eat around and the high street is only a 10 minute walk away. The room was clean and the bed was absolutely huge, such a treat. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Staff/owners done everything we requested. We had whatever type of breakfast we wished. a good holiday for us. One has to work out which road will be effective when returning to the hotel, because of the 'no right' and 'no left' road signs. But you get used to it.

Staff very friendly, rooms more than adequate and all round good value for money. Breakfast a bit hit and miss, first morning the hash browns served up were still frozen in the middle otherwise reasonable but nothing special. Coffe was very bitter which meant having to take second choice and drink tea.

Staff were quick to help when I told them I needed a refrigerator in my room. Room was very warm and travelling by myself with a special needs child I found it a little difficult to carry our things all the way up to the top floor, plus I couldn't lock the room door on the inside.
