The room was tired, dilapedated and stunk of cigarette smoke. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off, the net curtain was black, no shower and the toilet was dirty and stained. I always question the use of carpets in a bathroom. The only saving grace was that the tv worked and I was able to drown out the noise and singing coming from the bar below. I booked for 3 nights and checked out after 1.

Io must say this hotel is the worst hotel I have ever been to. It had brown stains all over the bath sticky carpets the smoke detector was hanging from a cable in the middle of the room and I could go on all night honestly bit unless you are a heroin addict please say away as I haven't got anything good to say about the place

Close to town centre. Room stank of stale smoke, was in very poor state of repair with holes in the doors, broken lock on interior door, dirty walls, dirty bathroom and smoke detector hanging off the ceiling. Would not stay here again even if the room was free.

Only the location. Decoration. Lack of facilities such as a shower. The overall state of the room (hanging smoke alarm on the ceiling, wallpaper hanging off, lack of cleanliness throughout the bedroom facilities) etc.....

Price was great, £22.50 booked a couple of days before.Location great - 5 mins walk from town centre, short taxi ride from main rail station ( would probably be only the £3.20 minimum fare). Plenty of on road parking overnight. Proper ensuite. Big Freeview tv ( but no instructions) Accommodation was so basic, that even determined to enjoy it because of the price it was a struggle. Very small room , not decorated in my life time I think ( and I am as old and grumpy as I sound). Needed to move bed to open wardrobe. Harsh overhead light only. No towel ( but had own so did not ask, staff seemed good and would have provided I guess) . minimum tea and coffee provided. No info on breakfast etc ( which I did not take having seen the room). Loo roll running out. All in all very minimum, which was a shame. Advertised as a family run hotel, so sad that a few pounds and a little time is not spent on improving appearance , info and comfort. I would stay there again for the price, but the big hotel chains around Bedford can sometimes match that price, so the "family" need to take notice! However the location is better than any of the big chains.

Here I as asked to write things I liked about the Hotel, well err... Nothing, its a dump and needs burning down. Not even the Hotel Inspector could recover this one..... Here is my complaint, well to call yourself a Hotel is a crime, the place is a dump. I have stayed in better Hostles in 3rd Word countrys that are better. Not even the Hotel Inspector could turn it around. Turn the rooms in to flats and run it as a knocking shop.....

Cheap, breakfast was ok Dirty, noisy, cold, no shower, no towels, no milk for the tea/coffee in room, half the lights didn't work, smelly, extremely tired room and common areas. Unwelcoming and unprofessional staff. Don't stay here! It may be cheap, but spend a little more and go somewhere else!

Leaving It was a builders hotel, dirty and poor service, if any. The room was filthy and there was no shower attachment, I dont mean no shower just no attachment water poored from a whole when I tried to use it. The carpets looked like somone had walked in from a factory floor with oily boots on and the chair had paint all over it. It was lucky I got in late as in the morning I found the duvet cover had blood splashes on. I did not ask if there was breakfast and wasnt offered any, but I think this was a good thing.

Breakfast was cooked fresh and was good The hotel was dated and tired. The plumbing was poor such that when you ran water in the basin, stagnant water bubbled up into the shower tray. The decor was poor, with quick DIY fixes evident. Car parking is difficult and cramped. The room was quite noisy with noise from the bar It is a shame as the building itself is very nice.
